Hey everybody, so that front neon green ratchet strap should work fine if you’re already doing it this way (just don’t over tighten it). But I actually swapped it for a cam strap with hooks on the end after making this video. Thanks for watching!

I have a 5'7" bed on my F150 and a Hobie PA 14 360. Legally where I am, the kayak sticks out of my bed too far. So I got a bed rack. It's quite an effort getting it on and off, but worth it. Rides so well when properly strapped down. All cam straps no rachet straps. And prevents flexing when driving down the road if it was in my bed even with a bed extender. If I have 30 min or less trips to the water, I'll just put it in my bed. Anything longer I take the time to put it on my rack

I used to have a jeep and lifting my kayak on top of it got old. Buying a pickup is best fishing decision I made off the water l this year. Cheers

I've not loaded mine yet, and i have a 10.5 so it will be a little different as i'll have to come up steeper.... my concern was with hitting the transducer and protecting the rudder. I was wondering if turning the rudder to it's maximum ability would help get it out of the way so you could bring it up at a steeper angle to clear the transducer. Is that something you tried and ruled out for some reason? I've learned a ton watching your videos... thanks so much for posting.

@@shmellyhandsprod I have heard of OTWI and I like a lot of their models. I eventually want to get their high tiered model with the walking deck in the next 3-5 years. Thanks for watching!
