My favorite Squidward moment is in the episode “Pizza Delivery.” Squidward stands up for SpongeBob after an ungrateful customer says that he refuses to eat his pizza without a drink. It’s just a great scene for a great episode.
I barely remember the whole episode, but didn't Spongebob insisted that the pizza comes to its intended customer unscratch and goes to great lengths to get the job done? That scene will forever be in my mind and it told me that he cares about the Sponge. -But he normally doesn't say it. (And this is coming from someone, who is indifferent to everything Spongebob).
All the worst Squidward episodes have one thing in common; it's just misery for misery's sake. There's no satisfying revenge, no crazy comedic twist, just misery. It lacks the heart, wit, and charm of the best episodes.
Always loved “Christmas Who?” as well. Such a great Squidward moment when he gives away all his worldly possessions just to make people happy. Wish we could see more of that side of Squidward.
One thing I've always noticed is that squidward is genuinely happy when someone listens to him about his hobbies and interests, and compliments his forms of art. Throughout the show, it's shown that Squidward's artwork and clarinet playing isn't really well-liked by most people around him. Heck, there was a scene showing people fleeing at the sight of squidward holding a clarinet (I think it was in "Krusty koncessionaires") I remember seeing one episode where plankton pretended to like Squidward's clarinet playing to try and get the formula out of him (I believe that was from "sweet and sour squid") and squidward was genuinely happy to see someone love his work. While most other people tend to run away from Squidward's artistic expressions, there is one guy that I've seen consistently supporting him and, as much as Squidward would hate to admit it, it's his absorbent neighbor. SB is the only guy I've seen to show support and excitement toward squid's art. SB was the only one to by Squidward's art in "out of the picture" and encouraged others to do the same. SB willingly goes to every event where squid publicly plays (although, in an episode I don't remember the name of, SB is shown at one of these concerts with earplugs in, which suggests that he just supports squid as a kind gesture, but he's also the only guy I've seen that did that) and even tried to find any way he could to compliment him (once again, in an episode I don't remember the name of, SB says something along the lines of "all those wrong notes you played made it sound more original!" and it didn't seem like a backhanded compliment either). While we have seen squidward and SpongeBob do stuff together before, like play music, I think an episode where Squid willingly invited SB to show off his art and talents, letting squid ramble on about his creations while SB listens, and generally just finally having someone to his interests to would make for a good episode. I know how rambling on about an interest or hobby can really feel amazing, especially after being alone for a long amount of time. I would love to see an episode where Squid was finally happy while SB finally got some time to hang out with him.
@@Magikalll Band Geeks gave Squidward a good ending, just like Suction Cup Symphony and in Pizza Delivery Mr. Krabs made them work together and SpongeBob didn't mean to annoy him.
I was wondering for a minute why Kim Jong Un would make a comment on the state of capitalism in a video on Spongebob until I realized it was a quote from Squidward.
Idiot Box has to be one of my favorite episodes of Spongebob. I love how it is implied throughout the episode that Spongebob and Patrick AREN'T the ones making all the loud noises; it's actually Squidward using his imagination and simply not realizing it!
Krusty Towers is how to do Squidward Torture correctly. Also, I heard that it was written for Season 3 but was delayed, which may explain why it's this excellent for post-movie standards.
@@ShadowtheUA-camr523 Lost mattress was awesome Squidward gets karma everytime hed being rude and the sofa gag was awesome I think lost mattress is better than krusty towers
I like "Dying For Pie" because even though Squidward's life is almost always interrupted by Spongebob, he's willing to make Spongebob's final hours alive happy. I would have suggested "Pizza Delivery" for the list because even though he can't stand Spongebob most of the time, he knew that he didn't deserve to be screamed at until he cried.
I feel like that's a huge reason that SpongeBob is still relevant 20+ years later. People can still appreciate it as they age and the younger kids can still relate to it. It has just aged like fine wine. 👌
I’d 100% say Band Geeks is the best SpongeBob SquarePants episode ever. It’s full to the brim with hilarious jokes and clever character moments and we finally see Squidward feel happiness.
"No Patrick horseradish isn't an instrument either." Underrated line imo, but tbf that's because "Is mayonnaise an instrument?" comes right before and is just so good.
Same here dude, I know the term "Squidward Torture Porn" is a bit of a dead horse and a bit of an ironic meme nowadays(I'e the infamous "THE SECURITY SYSTEM TAKES CONTROL OF SQUIDWARD'S HOUSE" copypasta.)And Squidward may not be the most sympathetic character out there(Hell, in episodes like Prof. Squidward he kinda brings most of it on himself.) but unlike a character like Cartman or Master Shake who pretty much deserves everything bad happening to him, it seems like some episodes Squid's worst crime is just; not wanting to put up with SpongeBob and Patrick's antics.
I am too. I really want him to be happy. Longer than a few minutes of screen time! I know the whole point is for him to be the exact opposite of Spongebob, but enough is enough! There have already been too many episodes and this torture will never end. Squidward deserves a break.
Breath of Fresh Squidward is a perfect way to ruin my day. This is why I personally don’t think Spongebob is the best cartoon/nicktoon. When it shines, it really shines. However when it gets boring, its a snore. When it gets bad, it’s really bad. I always cry in rage at the scene where Spongebob screams at Squidward for Pogo-sticking with Patrick and getting employee of the month. Seeing Squidward cry and gets kicked when he finally gets happy is just depressing. Squidward maybe a jerk at times but being happy while doing nothing wrong for a second for bad Spongebob episodes is the biggest sin. It gives me CatDog vibes which I think is the only bad Nicktoon from the 90’s. Dog is like Spongebob in his worst episodes, and Cat is Squidward getting hurt everytime for no reason most of the time, While the Greasers are just there for giving Cat even more pain.
Thats cause, while Squidward's a self obsessed passive aggressive jerk, he's a self-obsessed passive aggressive jerk who you can completely understand where he's coming from.
I love in krusty towers that squidwards so happy that he forgives spongebob from causing him to suffer for the first three/four seasons at the time. He even lets him and I THINK patrick swim in his pool!
@@seangarry8208 i'd happily play smash bros teamed up with my worst enemy if i got to throw krabs in prison for his illegal overwork of staff and underpaying.
For the episode where Spongebob was being a total jerk to Squidward when he was actually happy for once, that episode has actually always made me sad. However, I think it does have a good message to always support your friends, even if you get jealous.
I think Enchanted Tiki Dreams is somewhat of an underrated episode. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not perfect. I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending and the first half did drag on a bit. But it was heartwarming to see Squidward finally getting to relax! I tear up every time he mentions that he’s never been this happy in his life, and it’s just so satisfying to see him not only happy, but even having fun with SpongeBob and Patrick! They were annoying in the first half of the episode, but they definitely gave Squidward a beautiful paradise!
Yeah only somewhat cuz the song became popular on TikTok. It's one of my favorite episodes of all time and call me crazy but this is the only time in the entire series his undeserved torture actually works well cuz it's the reason why he starts crying and wanting to relax and as such the second half isn't just relaxing for the sake of relaxing and makes it more satisfying, genuinely awesome episode.
I'm sorry but I hated tentacle vision. He just wanted his own show and talk about whatever he wants to talk about but everyone doesn't care and they just hijack his show. I really didn't like that one, I can't agree it was a good episode:/
I only hated the part when he got kicked out of his own house, and in the next scene, he's in his bedroom. That part confused me, but the episode brought back all our main characters, so i guess that was cool
Honestly I have to agree with this. Funny as it was to see how things went, I always feel bitter and unsatisfied watching it because as you said, he just wanted his own show and to talk about whatever he wanted to but everyone ruined it. It's true that it's more interesting than how it would've went without the chaos that occurred, but still I strongly agree.
It’s a shame Squidward’s character has been abused so much. Watching him suffer isn’t even funny. Even when I was younger I didn’t find it funny. Though personally I don’t care for tentacle vision, in my opinion it’s just a beat up on Squidward episode. There was nothing charming about it.
Yeah I agree. Squidward is actually a very interesting character and I quite appreciate having him in the show. It's not often you get a character like him who is not just a grumpy stereotype. He ought to be treated like less of a punching bag for the show.
_Some_ squidward torture jokes were kind of funny (Like the plot of Tentacle Vision), but all the others just made me feel bad for him He needs to be treated better tbh
You know what would be a great episode? One where Squids are tries his hardest to get fired from the Krusty Krab, but everything he does accidentally ends up being helpful. But he ends up being employee of the month in the end, and ends up being surprisingly grateful.
I feel House Fancy deserved an Honorable Mention as it was like Band Geeks, and it was honestly pretty satisfying seeing Squidward succeed after the torture he went through, especially the toe scene. The torture he did go throught was probably worst then it was in Band Geeks.
@@LocalGooberGoobs that's literally the only thing people don't like about house fancy, the toenail scene. Yeah it's gross af but it really doesn't bring the whole episode down with what it's going for
@@infernoROBO I mean, the toenail scene, while brief, was still a part of a portion of the episode where Squidward had to deal with Spongebob's incompetence and his home getting destroyed. The ending was the only redeeming factor of the episode.
Nah I haven't seen a squidward torture episode in a while every sense season 9‐12 I haven't seen one squidward torture episode other then squid baby but that's more of just a stupid episode and squid lemonade other than that I haven't seen any squidward torture
That episode terrified me, mostly because of watching how the combo Squidward's OCD, and paranoia over Spongebob potentially screwing up was slowly driving him insane and it got to the point to where Spongebob got a little terrified of Squidward's descent into madness.
The fact that the worst squidward episodes are never bad because of what squidward does, really gives a testament to just how great squidward is as a character... squiddy is my favorite cartoon character, which might be a bit obvious...
Whale Watching from Season Eleven is a favorite of mine that I think you might like. It's Squidward looking after Pearl while Mr. Krabs is away and apparently it's something he's done since she was a baby, while she wants to go out to see a boy she likes. It's really nice to see their interactions and relationship. They don't really interact much, but seem to have a lot in common when I think about it. They both like boy bands and tend to get annoyed with other people's antics. It's sweet to see how hard Squidward tries to take care of her, even though he does have personal reasons for doing it. The ending is very sweet with how they end up bonding and what he does for her. It's something I like about some of the newer episodes where they've been putting some more focus on other characters like Larry, Pearl, Karen, Mrs. Puff and Sandy. I've always liked them since they make the world of the show feel that more "real" with all the other citizens of Bikini Bottom. They've even had some focus on the French Narrator and the My Leg guy.
It honestly pisses me off. I felt so happy for squidward. Ezpecially now that i have been suffering depression, seeing someone clearly depressed be absutely happy for once have his happiness ruined and destroyed kills me on the inside
@@sgnjamcitydevteam6913 I think they were talking about "breath of fresh squidward". In "Are you happy now?" SB seems happy to see squid smiling at the end, even though his paper creations were being destroyed.
I kinda wish Enchanted Tiki Dreams got at least a slight mention in this video because that one honestly was really enjoyable. Especially since Spongebob and Patrick actively tried to cheer Squidward up and make him happy.
There was one episode, I believe season 10 or 11, where the 3 idiots had to go mining mustard or something & I remember liking it because it was one of the first times it felt like Squidward didn't outright hate just being around Spongebob & Patrick, like he was just the boring friend of the group, rather than a guy who just hates being here. I don't know, I just like to think that the 10-11 seasons of time with Sponge & Pat made them grow on him a little. I dont remember much about it, I first saw it a few years ago & never happened to catch it again.
@@phantomstrider Same. Some people have tried to argue that it's out of character, but again, I argue that it is more growth of a character, & now, whether it's good or bad (I havent seen the later two movies) Sponge on the run proves that this is Squidward growing on his dumber two friends.
I think the biggest irony in Breath of Fresh Squidward is that Spongebob actually gets a taste of his own medicine. Squidward starts breaking into his house, almost constantly gets up in his personal space, intrudes on his job, and gets employee of the month while Sponge gets brushed aside. There's no real introspection at the end about it and of course nothing changes, he'll just keep breaking into Squid's house and pester him to madness like this episode never happened.
It also seems very hypocritical given that spongebob does everything squidward did there, but squidward is seen as an annoying creep and spongebob isn't.
@@slyninja4444 I think it could be a way for Spongebob to feel a glimpse of what Squidward feels everyday. If you think about it Squidward had a personality thus similar to Spongebob, and during the course of the episode Spongebob was slowly becoming Squidward.
That episode is poorly written too. It started off with Squidward being nice to Spongebob by waking him up every morning and doing all his chores for him. Then the PLOT changes to Squidward being successful and Spongebob being Jealous of his success.
I actually relate to the “Fresh breath of Squidward” episode quite well. I think I know why Spongebob was acting that way. I myself for a long time struggled with depression and finding a reason to be happy in life for many years. My st*p mom used it as a reason to talk down to me and make me feel like I was crazy, and acted like she cared to make herself look better. But now that I actually did get proper help and treatment, I’m a completely different person now compared to teenage me. Now she acts like I was faking being depressed and acting like I shouldn’t have “cured my depression” so quickly. Though the truth is I still struggle with my severe depression, I’m actually finding a purpose in my life again. So basically, I believe in that episode, when Squidward was finally being happy and enjoying life, Spongebob was no longer seen as “being the kind person he was to make Squidward happy.” Squidward didn’t “need” (I know he was very annoyed by spongebob and he never really made him happy at all) him anymore because he found that happiness all on his own. Spongebob no longer had a trophy to hold above Squidward or an excuse to be seen as a “good guy” because Squidward was no longer sad. Basically what I got from that episode is this, people don’t truly care if you are depressed or sad unless it makes them look good by “helping you.” And when you’re happy, they don’t want you around. Now I know it was a bad episode and Spongebob is not that way at all and actually cared about Squidward’s well being, but I just wanted to put my insight and idea on this being a person struggling with depression myself.
I love Squidward. He is my favorite character, mostly because he reminds me of myself. He may have his really terrible moments and may act like a prick at times, but I love how he can be a great friend, and isn't afraid to speak his mind.
I thought many people love Squidward. Actually I don't like that show. There are good episodes, but it's not my, you know. It's so much pain... Sorry. But Squidward was really good character.
Yep I always enjoyed watching him on screen. He always seemed like the most believable character and I always found it highlighted the comic nature of the show. The show just wouldn't be the same without him.
Keep in mind that in Squidville, Squidward moved out, but he misses Spongebob too much, and every time he quits or gets fired from the Krusty Krab, he got rehired. That means that Squidward is trapped in bikini Bottom, unable to move out and locked in there for the rest of his life
@@HarrisonMelegari-kp9yo if I was squidward I’ve would’ve moved out cuz when spongebob bothers squidward no one does anything but when squidward gets back at spongebob the bikini bottom goes crazy
My absolute favorite showcasing of Squidward is in the "Christmas Who?" Christmas special. I just really love seeing him appreciating SpongeBob and giving back to him and Bikini Bottom. Its probably my favorite thing to watch at Christmas
Not gonna lie I think Christmas Who should’ve been the number 1 best. It was such a well written episode and Squidward really shines the most in this episode, showing how much he really cares about not only spongebob, but everyone in bikini bottom. It definitely shows us his greatest character growth and is heartwarming
True but he did mention that episode in best and worst Spongebob specials, also it could be considered that Squidward isn’t the main character of the episode
I think one of the good ones was “Band Geeks” Squidward got his dream to be the leader of his newly formed band with Spongebob, Patrick, Plankton, ETC. He saw his worst enemy Squilliam get humiliated by his band as he passes out. In the end he jumps in air from joy as the music fades away. Good work on this amazing video!
I like Squidward, but my favorite character has got to be Plankton. He's my favorite villain. He gives me motivation to chase my dreams like he chases after dat formula. Can you please do a top 5 best/worst Plankton episodes list.
Exemples: My Sister,My Sitter (Season 8) There's no Desgrace in the home (Season 1) Another Simpsons Clip (Season 6) Homer Day Out (Season 1) Bart Gets a F (Season 2)
@@cartmantv6465 I don’t dislike any of those (except the clip shows, which I don’t count) and Bart Gets An F is legendary, I’d love to hear Strider’s take though
I can see why somebody could enjoy it, but I personally DESPISED tentacle vision. It was just an episode that gave poor squidward nothing but torture, and the characters in the episode were more flanderized and dumbed down then they have EVER been. A few clever jokes, but nothing to write home about.
I also like the early season 2 Squidward episode “Squid’s Day Off.” This is the one where I think Mr. Krabs’ arms fall off and he’s rushed to the hospital and he puts Squidward in charge of the Krusty Krab while he’s not there. Squidward uses this opportunity to “promote” Spongebob to cashier in addition to fry cook so he can goof off the rest of the day. Suddenly his conscious gets the better of him and he constantly runs back and forth between his house and the Krusty Krab to check to make sure Soongebob hasn’t destroyed the Krusty Krab in some way. Each time he returns to the Krusty Krab he finds everything in order. Over the course of the episode he slowly looses his mind and ends up running naked from the bath back to the Krusty Krab and yells at Soongebob for not having destroyed the place. Then Spongebob realizes they haven’t had a customer all day and the “open” sign had been stuck at “Closed.” This episode is great because out of all of the Squid torture episodes this is the only one where he tortures himself and is not tortured by Spongebob or Patrick. He’s playing mind games with himself and that’s the mark of really great writing!
Idiot box was one of my favourite episodes of all time. I remember watching it since I was 9 years old. This gave a lot of my memories. I enjoyed watching it
The thing with Ink Lemonade, where everyone became appalled when they learned it was Squidward's ink, in Japan, that wouldn't be an issue, since a type of food they serve there is Ink Spaghetti, a spaghetti sauce mixed with squid ink and is incredibly popular there. Can imagine the eye rolling and confusion of the Japanese viewers when they saw that episode.
I don't mind Squidward being put through misfortune in episodes, unless if there's no other reason for it other than just to make him suffer and be miserable because the episode demands it. If he were to do something to deserve it like being a jerk to Spongebob in the episode and were to be getting his comeuppance, the humor revolving around his misery is actually funny and doesn't go too far into pity territory, those would be good justifications for his misfortunes, and a lot of the episodes during season 6 lacked that often and it's just unpleasant and unfunny.
I want to bring up a very good point about something, when SpongeBob and Patrick used their imagination to create whatever scenario happens in their box it makes me think of how much the power of our imagination has so much influence when people create media in our life like video games, animations, art etc and I think its always important to realize the power our minds when we use our imagination. Good message SpongeBob I can respect it 👍
Honestly, I would’ve chosen squid’s visit(another season 6 episode, how surprising) because of just how mercilessly squidward gets psychologically tortured and abused all because he wanted to get his vacuum back that spongebob intentionally stole to get him to come over, and on top of the absolute creepiness and absurdity of making his home look exactly like squidward’s to the point where it gets disturbing. It’s really just an awful episode all around, and really just shows the absolute worst that season 6 has to offer Edit: oh, and to wrap up the misery, squidward’s house burns down at the end. All with no justification on how he deserved any of this whatsoever
@@PizzaMadeMeFat He gets to stay in a replica of his house while the man who basically caused his house to burn down sleeps in the ashes of it, so yeah, I think it's a good thing
And the episode Squidsville where he moves out of Bikini Bottom and into a gated community of squids shows that moving out of Bikini Bottom does not work out for him.
See as an adult I relate to Squidward more than anyone else in the show, so any episode where he’s genuinely happy for even a moment is an absolute win
Oof I have an entirely different opinion about the episode “Tentacle Vision”. I actually disliked it as a kid and had considered it another Squidward torture porn episode.
Same. I actually hate it lol. All the characters just annoying him when he has his chance to shine and then when he gets kicked out of his own house :/
@@nutquesadilla5075 Yeah me too. I don’t want hate on Phantomstrider’s opinion but I really didn’t see a similarity in humor with “Tentacle Vision” to the Looney Toons episode “Duck Amuck”. That Looney Toons episode was funny because Bugs as the animator was trolling Daffy by changing the background and his appearance for laughs. In “Tentacle Vision”, Sponge and his friends where actively bothering and upstaging Squidward in his TV show for their own selfish benefits. It doesn’t feel like the same energy and isn’t really funny.
Same that is a episode where after all that nonsense and Squidward’s angry outbursts (justifiably so but too much), it made me feel bad. Truly a sign that the show was going down the tubes. Here’s a weird continuity guff: After Squidward gets taken to the hospital from the paint accident. It cuts to Spongebob’s meeting and taking role and calling out Squid’s name which we saw earlier both Spongebob and Patrick see Squidward go to the hospital. The writers didn’t notice that for a rewrite.
Some people consider "Good Neighbors" the episode that caused the show to go downhill. And trust me, the quality doesn't get much better until around Season 9.
Good Neighbors is a decline of quality, but It is still enjoyable (Decent Episode) To Love a Patty was the first BAD episode for ScumBob FilthPants in my book
I agree with Tentacle-Vision, it really reminds me of one of my favorite kids picture books called The Wrong Book. The premise is this character is trying to tell us what the book is about and all these random characters constantly come into the book and interrupt him and he's getting more and more angry until he finally had enough and lashes out at them all. It was pretty popular at one of my old primary schools. But here, instead of a boy trying to host a book and having these random characters constantly come in and interrupt him, it's Squidward trying to host a TV show and having the other characters constantly come in and interrupt him. Also, with Idiot Box, that episode is pretty relatable to me surprisingly. A lot of the Persona 3 FES fanboys cannot stand Persona 3 Portable's visual novel cutscenes, but I deal with it using my 🌈imagination🌈. Basically, I imagine the cutscenes playing out the way they're meant to be played out, something I wish the P3 fanboys would try to do. I'm pretty much SpongeBob and Patrick in this episode and the angry P3 fanboys are Squidward in the same episode, where they have no imagination at all and would rather enjoy what they see.
Me throughout the entire video "Choir Boys will be the worst" I was right. 21:01 Yes! But I don't think an episode this bad will be in season 2. You mean season 6, mate.
Personally I think enchanted tiki dreams is my favourite Squidward episode because Spongebob and Patrick Is really trying to make Squidward happy and have some peace.
Choir boys is an example of a decrease in quality for SpongeBob, I may not have noticed it when I was a kid but I do know now and I did notice how slow it was and that aggravated me.
I agree with these lists, except for Tentaclevision. I agree that the episodes where Squidward's misery has no purpose are horrible, but why put Tentaclevision on the best list? Isn't this episode also about Squidward being miserable with no purpose to it? It has 2 or 3 decent jokes, but I didn't enjoy anything else about it. I personally would've put a season 1 episode instead, like Jellyfishing, Bubblestand, Naughty Nautical Neighbors, or Opposite Day. Or put another season 2 episode, like Squid's Day Off or Artist Unknown. But I think Suction Cup Symphony is also pretty good tho.
I agree that it’s not as good as Krusty Towers or Suction Cup Symphony, but I still like it. I also think that Slimy Dancing should have at least been an honorable mention.
I agree with you on everything except for Jellyfishing, Opposite Day and the season 2 episodes. Suction Cup Symphony is definitely my favorite season 6 episode and unironically one of my favorite episodes of all time! And Slimy Dancing would be a fine honorable mention ig. Snowball Effect is pretty awesome and what I said about SCS applies to Enchanted Tiki Dreams.
I'm not sure if anyone has brought them up, but I wanted to give a shout out to "Naughty Nautical Neighbors" and "Squid's Day Off". Not only are they some of my favorite Squidward episodes, but they're perfect examples of the "Squidward Torture" premise done right. I say this because most of the humor is around Squidward being at the back end of the jokes, but unlike most of the episodes from the worst list, Squidward has actually done things that made the torture feel warranted, like causing Spongebob and Patrick to fight or lie and say he's running errands when he's instead giving himself a day off. It's karma, which most later episodes forget to do in order to make everything he gets feel at least a little bit warranted.
That line in the inside job episode "Sounds that make Squidward upset" really proves how SB purposefully tries to do everything to make Squidward's life miserable. Like, he needs to leave him alone!
I hate it when theories like this are treated as fact, because the writers clearly didn't intend for it to be interpreted this way and all it does is make it seem like people are trying to FIND reasons to hate the mid season episodes, and yes I am also referring to TheMysteriousMr.Enter's similar theory about Patrick's "you can't expect my usual brand of stupidity" comment from "The Card" as well.
Hi Phantom Strider! I’m not sure if you’ve heard of this movie before, but there is a movie called Pixies that I would love for you to review! I’ve always found it interesting, but I’ve never watched it. Here’s my review on it because I’m not sure if you’ll see this comment: The movie pixies is a somewhat disaster. I originally thought that the guy on the cover was a boy, so I wasn’t expecting a man to be the main human in the story. I honestly thought the animation was very lazy and the pixies were just very creepy. It was boring and very confusing. The voice actors were ok, but the voice syncing was kinda off. The colors were cheap, and it just looked like a mix of the trolls with wings and no color. There you have it! This is my opinion, so if you like that movie, good! I just wanted to review this and ask what Phantom Strider thinks 😁
I've seen that movie on YTV a few times now and even though i groan in disappointment when it comes on, I still can't help but watch it. It's terrible but I'll still watch it. (Not all the time tho)
Hiya Trinity 😀 *looks at trailer* HOLY TOLEDO IT'S HIDEOUS!! 😱😱😱 Why are there eyes so small and terrifying? It looks like he's holding a knife in the thumbnail lol.
Sad thing is, now that we’ve seen this version of Spongebob, the writers are gonna keep him like this for a long time. And there’s nothing we can do about it God damn it!
bruh i remember watching dyeing for pie when i was like 4 years old, and by the end i was like crying because i thought spongebob was actually gonna die
I have a very similar memory! It was playing at my Grandma's place when I was there, & I didn't want to see it, yet my mom kept pushing me to watch for some reason. I kept on telling her that SpongeBob dies, & after a while, she finally stopped, though only after the episode ended.
You want to talk about character torture, I think that Lincoln Loud from The Loud House got quite a bit of it himself. Maybe not the same amount of times Squidward has suffered...but still, he's had his share of terrible moments. The worst part is that people actually LIKED seeing him be subjected to this. In short, a Lincoln Torture List seems like a good video idea

I would love to see an episode where Squid was finally happy while SB finally got some time to hang out with him.
the episode where spongebob had earplugs in at squidward's concert was probably "Squid Noir"

True. Seeing him actually enjoy their company is nice.

Lets not forget that Squidville gives the best Patrick joke in the entire show. "Are YOU Squidward?.......that's ok, take your time"
Whale Watching from Season Eleven is a favorite of mine that I think you might like.

Yes Squidward is a great cartoon character on Spongebob
There was one episode, I believe season 10 or 11, where the 3 idiots had to go mining mustard or something & I remember liking it because it was one of the first times it felt like Squidward didn't outright hate just being around Spongebob & Patrick, like he was just the boring friend of the group, rather than a guy who just hates being here. I don't know, I just like to think that the 10-11 seasons of time with Sponge & Pat made them grow on him a little. I dont remember much about it, I first saw it a few years ago & never happened to catch it again.
Seasons 10 + tend to portray Squidward more like that. As a dull friend. And that's definitely my preferred portrayal
@@phantomstrider Same. Some people have tried to argue that it's out of character, but again, I argue that it is more growth of a character, & now, whether it's good or bad (I havent seen the later two movies) Sponge on the run proves that this is Squidward growing on his dumber two friends.
You're kinda right and it's from season 11 and it's called Mustard O' Mine.
Glad they cut us a break from his pain cycle.
I LOVED that ep!
I personally really hated Breath of Fresh Squidward, SpongeBob was just so out of Character, for once Squidward enjoys life!
That episode could actually be good if spongebob wasn't such a jerk to SquidWard

Squidward is the meg of spongebob
Yeah pretty much

Megward the Wizard
Why did you censor step?
I remember laughing so hard in tentacle vision when Patrick put his mouth up to the camera and the old lady saying “This is disgusting!”

Bart Gets an F is a classic! "Homer Alone," though, is hard to watch.
Why i deslike Bart gets a F:
▪︎Bart Torture in Wrong Ways.
▪︎Slow Jokes.
▪︎Bad Results for Bart Unlucky times.
▪︎Predictable Ending.

It’s really just an awful episode all around, and really just shows the absolute worst that season 6 has to offer
Edit: oh, and to wrap up the misery, squidward’s house burns down at the end. All with no justification on how he deserved any of this whatsoever

Sb-129 would be one of, if not my favorite Spongebob episode.
I love that episode too.
My personal second favorite. Only No Free Rides can beat it.
It's def the best season 4 episode. Even better than "Have you seem the snail."
Squidward has to be one of my favorite characters.
He's so relatable
especially in my current residence
See as an adult I relate to Squidward more than anyone else in the show, so any episode where he’s genuinely happy for even a moment is an absolute win
Oof I have an entirely different opinion about the episode “Tentacle Vision”. I actually disliked it as a kid and had considered it another Squidward torture porn episode.
Same. I actually hate it lol. All the characters just annoying him when he has his chance to shine and then when he gets kicked out of his own house :/
I was so confused seeing that on the list. It's like, exactly what he described he disliked in boating buddies
@@Jackal_El_Lobo34 yup, definitely
@@Jackal_El_Lobo34 yes, it's self contradicting
Good Neighbors was one of the many, many episodes where I noticed the show's decline in quality! I hated it as a kid and I still hate it now!
Same I always aside from the first viewing of the episode hated it it’s so bad
Some people consider "Good Neighbors" the episode that caused the show to go downhill. And trust me, the quality doesn't get much better until around Season 9.
Good Neighbors is a decline of quality, but It is still enjoyable (Decent Episode)
To Love a Patty was the first BAD episode for ScumBob FilthPants in my book
Same
spongebob in breath of fresh squidward honestly feels like a whole different character, he just asks so different
Doh! How'd I miss that typo XD
Squidward: Is happy and having a good time
Spongebob: Wait...that's illegal
Personally I think enchanted tiki dreams is my favourite Squidward episode because Spongebob and Patrick Is really trying to make Squidward happy and have some peace.
I was honestly so surprised pizza delivery wasn’t on this list it was great character development
Personally, I think Squidward is one of the most well written characters in history
Good for you I guess but personally I think squidwards is a ok character
Or Snowball Effect, or Enchanted Tiki Dreams
I agree with you on everything except for Jellyfishing, Opposite Day and the season 2 episodes. Suction Cup Symphony is definitely my favorite season 6 episode and unironically one of my favorite episodes of all time! And Slimy Dancing would be a fine honorable mention ig. Snowball Effect is pretty awesome and what I said about SCS applies to Enchanted Tiki Dreams.
Tentacal-Vision is one of the worst episodes like fr
@@JuicyJuro worst season premiere in my opinion.
I think it’s supposed to mean that those sounds that they both hear makes squidward upset and spongebob has that knowledge in his brain
My List of the worst squidward episodes:
5. Breath of Fresh Squidward
4. Cephalopod Lodge
3. Choir Boys
2. Boating Buddies
1. Squid Baby
Nice list!
How isnt Squid Vision not on this list?
@@ayrikdoesmemes you mean Tentacle-Vision, I mostly just found that more boring than infuriating.
OH DEAR FLIPPING JEEBUS SQUID BABY
Haven’t seen squid baby yet! But I have seen clips tho...
“The paper” and “just one bite” have to be among the best

Hi Phantom Strider! I’m not sure if you’ve heard of this movie before, but there is a movie called Pixies that I would love for you to review! I’ve always found it interesting, but I’ve never watched it. Here’s my review on it because I’m not sure if you’ll see this comment:
The movie pixies is a somewhat disaster.
Squidward is just too relatable the older you get. Especially if you work in retail.
As kids we wanted to punch or slap him, but when we grow up we really wanna give poor Squiddy a hug
In my opinion "SB-129" is the best Episode! Loving it.
From the start of the video, I can personally *guarantee* that "Band Geeks" is at the top of the list for best.
Edit: I was wrong.
Well you said personally. *personally* I don't know how it wasn't
Pizza delivery: Am I a joke to you?
Pizza delivery is too classic to be on this list

„Can you spare a dime?“ is one of my favourite episodes of all time where Squidward is fired and Spongebob invites him to live in his house.
Sad thing is, now that we’ve seen this version of Spongebob, the writers are gonna keep him like this for a long time. And there’s nothing we can do about it
God damn it!
bruh i remember watching dyeing for pie when i was like 4 years old, and by the end i was like crying because i thought spongebob was actually gonna die
I have a very similar memory! It was playing at my Grandma's place when I was there, & I didn't want to see it, yet my mom kept pushing me to watch for some reason. I kept on telling her that SpongeBob dies, & after a while, she finally stopped, though only after the episode ended.
"Isn't there anything on that isn't about boxes?"
22:53 THIS GENUINELY MADE ME LAUGH BECAUSE OF HOW BAD HE SOUNDS
I love the pizza episode just because at the end squidward was kind to spongebob and that felt heartwarming
A few I can name
No Such Luck (My 2nd worst Loud House Episode, my #1 now is A Grave Mistake)
Brawl in the Family
Slueth or Consequences
The Green House
Making the Grade
One of the Boys
It's a (x4) Loud House
Sounds of Silence
Friends in Dry Places (I have yet to see it, I only heard of it since Yoshi Player, put it in his Bottom 5 of Season 4)
Kings of the Con
