- An annual event at Bynum NC of pumpkin carving and lining the bridge with all the pumpkins, lightning them at dark. I was excited to meet Ed and John from the Original Haw River Crawdaddies today! Enjoy the music. Below is the FB page to join their page for future events:

Bynum Bridge was built in 1922. It was the longest first generation and the longest unaltered reinforced concrete tee beam bridge known to remain in NC to this day. Bynum was once a cotton mill town. Originally, the Bynum Bridge was a wooden covered bridge. Today it is currently a pedestrian bridge and every Halloween they rails are lined up with pumpkins that stay lit until midnight.

Fun! Thanks for introducing us to Really old Uncle Edd. Used the term :grand nephews and nieces (old term not often used this day and age). Found a few shows on YT.
He was something else, wasn't he? I could have filmed him all night!
It was great meeting you, Old Uncle Ed and John! I enjoyed listening to your music! It was very nice being around friends carving pumpkins and lining up the bridge with pumpkins!
Wish I had known you were gonna be there. I’m not far from Bynum bridge
That's too bad. Be honest I didn't know I was going to be there until about 15 minutes after a friend called and told me to come down I'm glad I did. I love meeting some of the friendliest people around here!
So which jack-o-lantern is yours?? 🎃 That looks like a lot of fun. Did George go with you?
I didn't do one. I got there just in time for the carvers to finish up and line the bridge. Maybe next year! LOL No, Dad didn't go. He was off on a first date in a different town. He's a single man that doesn't sit still, ya know! ha ha!
Me and my excursions take 2nd fiddle to a date! (Which I'm happy for him to get out and meet people anytime he can).
@@ATravelingAddictSolo Haha...good for him! That's awesome.
I’m sorry we missed this year🎃
Stick it on your calendar for next Halloween! Oh, ask Nate if he wants to come camping with us this coming weekend in the 30o temps! The boys mentioned inviting him to come out and go camping with us. Tell him there will be plenty of smores!
@@ATravelingAddictSolo I definitely will!!!
Thanks for camping invite, I know he would enjoy the s’mores, not so sure about the 30 degrees🥶
Many thanks for this special presentation! We use to see these wonderful pumpkins on the real Chicken Bridge
I enjoyed hanging out with the friendly folks at Bynum during Halloween!
GreAT JOB!!!
Thanks for watching! It was a fun night !
