  • Do as I do at your own risk and make sure you have adequate ventilation.
Do your own research to verify parts fitment and assembly specs.
This is not exactly a how to but more of a "how I do." Do your own research and do not be afraid to tackle this job yourself if you can follow directions, research and have access to basic hand tools.
I decided against the drop in locker for now since I seem to understand on road driving characteristics will suffer.
I will not film reinstallation since it is basically the reverse process of my other video.

To answer about the pattern, it wasn't great but not terrible. It should be higher up on the drive (convex) side. Ecgs and Timmy the tool man have s 98 min video on it.
They set the Pinon and carrier using measurements without the seals or sleeve installed, verify good settings, then add those things in end retighten to the measurements that produced a good pattern

Thanks for watching! It was quiet so I was happy with it. New owner likes it too!

Once you run the adjusters in and lash is close, go ahead and tighten the caps. It usually changes the lash a good bit.

Infrared heater (fry lamp style) is a great way to heat without damaging

Yes, preload was set during the install process and checked with the torque wrench.

Did you order a parts kit or piecemeal from the dealer?

I ordered a kit from Randy’s Worldwide. Axle bearings came from eBay. Do some smart shopping though and you can save some money, I spent more than I should have.

@kauffmansgarage finally getting to mine, how did you set your pattern by crushing the sleeve ahead of setting backlash
