    00:50 - 𝗤:01 - Cart solenoid not working issue - I purchased a heavy-duty solenoid from your company so I could convert it from 36v to 48v. I hooked up the wires the same as the 36v solenoid and it won’t work. I get a click, but it doesn’t move. I installed the old solenoid as it was wired, and it works. There’s some Chinese writing on it but no wiring instructions.
    03:00 - 𝗤:02 - The cart is not moving issue - 2016 EZGO RXV clicks but won't move. Any thoughts?
    04:27 - 𝗤:03 - Cart starts to chatter or shudder issue - Carryall: as you showed me, I checked the batts all 6 show 8.2, ok, after charge I slowly ease into the gas(power) and it just barely starts to tug. Move forward. And as I push on the pedal it starts to chatter or shudder (trying to move) and every now and then when I do this it will catch and take off. New solenoid and of course clicks before trying to move. Please point this disabled vet in the right direction, it's the only way I can get around my yard.
    06:50 - 𝗤:04 - Cart rear brake light issue - I have a 2014 RXV with a Madjax light kit. The right rear brake light stays on all the time. Any idea what might be causing the issue?
    08:33 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
    10:02 - 𝗤:05 - Cart replacement brakes issue - How difficult is it to replace brakes on a 2008 Yamaha 48volt golf cart?
    11:02 - 𝗤:06 - Cart battery issue - Club Car has 44 volts but will not run. Batteries may be the issue, charged up to 44 volts but barely runs.
    12:30 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
    13:02 - 𝗤:07 - Cart A-arm bushings issue - When should A-arm bushings be replaced?
    14:31 - 𝗤:08 - Cart power loss issue - My 2007 club car precedent 48V sometimes just loses power and locks up the drive wheels jarring the cart, then most of the time continues on. Sometimes it will not restart and I have to do several things to try to get it going again. I go from run to tow and back, I stomp on the accelerator, and sometimes that is what it takes other times I just let it sit for a while and it comes back.
    16:10 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
    16:06 - 𝗤:09 - Is there a switch at the cart pedal - I have a 2004 gas cart that will not start when the pedal is pushed. Is there a switch at the pedal? and its location?
    17:25 - 𝗤:10 - Cart Summit II charger issue - I have a Club Car and ever since I got a Summit II charger for my cart, it is slower and can't go uphill like it used to. I’ve had it for a year and it's been like that since then.

    Interesting fact, I purchased a brand new 48 V RXV and it came from the factory with a 36 V solenoid. It worked for 10 years and when it went out, I just replaced it with the same part number I’ve had no issues. 👍👍👍 I would’ve thought it should be a 48 V solenoid but the people who make it don’t seem to think so because they did not put one in.

      Little known fact that the RXV has the 36V solenoid. Great input to mention that in this comment section!

    Great video. I have a 2017 RXV that runs sluggish/jumpy off the line and eventually goes into crawling limp mode. I’ve replaced both TPS and a speed sensor but still having the issue. Any ideas?

      Thanks for watching, Matt! A load test on the batteries would be a good idea. There could be a battery on its way out if you feel stuttering or possibly an issue with the controller.

    Also,. I have a 97 Ezgo medalist (36 Volt) DCS cart. How do I know if Regen it's working? I would expect the cart to slow down more rapidly than it does when you left off the accelerator. Could this Regen issue cause additional issues similar to towing the cart without the tow switch in the tow position if the Regen isn't working properly?

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому

      1997 EZ-GO DCS was their first attempt at a regenerative braking cart. The only way that I know of to tell if regen is working would be to speed down a hill. You should not be able to freewheel to crazy speeds. DCS controllers are not adjustable like PDS controllers. The regen is set and cannot be changed in DCS controllers. Even if regen is not working for some reason I do not see it causing any issues like they are speaking of. If you tow it, put it in tow, for sure. More questions? Tim. What's your favorite golf cart make and year range when it comes to overall quality and reliability? (Electric carts)

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching, Derek! If you would not have pinned Tim down to electric carts then he would have said Yamaha G1 gas. Best golf cart ever made but they only had a production run from 79 to 89. Had good luck with CC IQ system carts. Love the DS IQ from 2001 and newer. EZ-GO Marathon controller carts are good carts also.
      Dave's favorite is the 48V CC Precedent after 2014 for the easy work/maintenance and the lack of OBC.

    In reference to voltage, dropping off, causing a stutter, you can put the meter across all the batteries first and if you see drop off then isolate, which one. As stated, this must be done, dynamically, underload, and always look for signs of melting on the cables, which indicates a poor high resistance connection

      Good call! It's not always simple to find the one battery or cell possibly causing an issue.

    I had a blowout, driver side rear. It went flat and I travelled on the rim for about 25 yards on asphalt. When I was jacking up the cart to replace the tire/rim I forgot to take the cart out of reverse, and I heard a noise that sounded like a spring stretching. I put all brand new tires/rims on it, now it has a side by side shimmy that becomes more pronounced upon decelleration. I am thinking something got out of whack during the jacking process. I checked all the lug nuts again, all tight. I replaced the rear leaf spring bushings, but the fronts are ok. I haven't gone through the shocks or alignment yet. I am fearing something got pulled out of sync in the transmission, electric brake or rear suspension. 2011 RXV. No lift kit, pretty much all stock suspension. Any suggestions?

    I support a fleet of 2023 EZGO RXVs. I have notice a problem with the seat back bolts coming loose. The carts are one year old. There are no lock washer on the bolts or the parts manual. Should i use locktite on these?

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  5 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching, great question! It may be a better solution to consider small lock washers from your local hardware store. If the RXV's get heavy use or spend a lot of time in sun or moisture, you may find (or future owners may find) the vinyl or the backrest cushions need replaced, and have a really hard time with locktite. Just our 2 cents.

    Thanks for your videos. My brother-in-law and I each bought Summitt II chargers from GCG last year. We only spend winters in Florida and I wanted to keep my battery charged while I'm "up north". I asked when I bought the charger if I could leave it plugged in for the spring & summer months. I was told I could because the Summit II turns itself off when the batteries are charged. I hardwired the my charger to the batteries and it works fine. I did the same with my brother-in-laws cart and it won't charge. We both have EZGO TXT 36 volt carts. Mine is a 2002-3 cart and his is a 2009. I did not use your kit but used 10 gage wire with appropriate ring terminals. Bottom line, mine worked ok but my brother-in-laws did not. why? He was forced to use the standard connection with the plug into the cart. Just wondering why I could hardwire mine but not his. It all appeared to be wired the same way. Ever heard of that?

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching, Keith! Since the Summit works with the plug, there seems to be a hidden or unusual problem there that isn't resulting from a faulty unit. It sounds like a possible wiring or connection issue, but difficult to say without having been there. We recommend a consult with our diagnostic team here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ if you'd like help to fix the issue... or a direct contact to Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934 so our techs can ask you questions in real time for discovery.

    Any thoughts on a 2015 rxv with a hissing noise when its cold. I changed the differential oil, its not that. Hmm

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому

      I would assume we are talking about a gas cart since It is cold. I would "for testing purposes only" remove the air filter and run the cart to see if the hissing noise changes at all. 2. Must have a sticking micro switch somewhere. Even though it is gas there are still some micros. Get in touch for more questions or help. Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

      @@GolfCartGarage it's electric. I changed the differential oil. Didn't expect it to help since it's not continuous. Naturally, no improvement. Perhaps the same for bearings. Maybe motor brake? Not many options. Sigh
