@@sologarage it breeds better doesn't matter if it's a y8 your not using the head which you could even if it's vtec but he was saying the intake you want to make it easier get a automatic y8 intake which doesn't have the ivac holes this way you can use your y7 throttle body
And make sure of you use your y7 Head get a y7 Intake gasket so you don't run into vacuum leaks if you use the y8 head you get the Y8 Intake Gasket if you use the manual y8 intake you need the ivac also and what you do is depin the orange wire at the plug and at the computer side And take the blue/Black wire on the computer side and switch it from plug 12 to 14 Easy at the computer side the orange will be in the middle the black and blue on the right of it so you move the black and blue to the left of the orange wire and unplug orange wire and leave out you can always use thar wire later for vtec or knock sensor so don't cut it off
Cool Letting you know if you leave the upstream 02 sensor in and have a the bottom sensor taken out you can 2 step ur car and have gunshot bangs without a tune lol I just put DC headers on my 97 civic lx
Talking about for the d16y7? I’m thinking of adding on a skunk 2 alpha header as well, will it work for this header as well or only for dc sport headers?
Did you have to loosen up the AC Compressor to get the headers on? Remove the valve cover? Since this is a one piece hearder unit, I'm having a hard time get the headers in.
How is the gasket doing,I bought some headers and the gasket looked exactly like that one,it was loose so I was contemplating on putting it on,I have the original one on and idk if that was a good or bad decision
Next on the list should be a d16y8 intake manifold and throttle body assembly. There’s dozens of them right now in salvage yards you can get for cheap
What’s the difference? Ik the y8 is a vtec engine.

@@Believe-anythingisPossible Damn that’s a steal
*_Dope build bro! I've been looking for someone else who's installed headers on their civic hatchback. Thinking of giving these a buy and install 🔥_*

does this actually work ?
yea

Patiently waiting... ⏳
Did it throw a code since it’s cat less?
I like your content
I got a 98 d16y8 vtec. Oh yes Vtec baby.

No, I did not. The biggest thing was I did need custom work to attach the exhaust to it
How is the gasket doing,I bought some headers and the gasket looked exactly like that one,it was loose so I was contemplating on putting it on,I have the original one on and idk if that was a good or bad decision
Did you end up getting an exhaust clip!
Did you have to remove your cat for this install??
The headers don’t come with a cat but the second cat is still there
I can’t get the bottom bolt holes to line up at all, the end of the header is too big
Trying to connect the header & exhaust?
does that exhaust manifold have a catalytic-converter built in? if so please leave a link of where you bought it
Unfortunately it does not. I’ll leave the link nonetheless. www.evasivemotorsports.com/store/product/skunk2-alpha-series-header-honda-d-series/
@@sologarage so it's cat-less now? wish i could do that but i'm in california
@@throttlefilms yeah, I’m in South Carolina, no smog checks
🤣 built in cat in a straight pipe header…sounds so cali
Heyy I’m just wondering i have a d series d16y7 like urs and im just curious does both the censor fit for both o2 censors
The sensors will fit but I needed to buy an extension cable for the O2 sensor in the back
Is your engine a d16y7?
It is
Can I get a sound clip for this plzzz I want to hear how they sound
Yeah, I’ll try to get a video up soon
@@sologarage thank you I really wanna hear how they sound
Can u do sound clip for me on the headers plzz
Yeah definitely, just waiting on a fuel feeder line from eBay since Honda discontinued the part & nobody else has the part.
🙏🏻✍🏻🙏🏻
Nice.💋💋
Well we would have found it even more helpful if we had a sound test but no..
I'm irritated there wasn't an Exhaust Video to go with it... Like come on dude...
As soon as I get the car back running, I’ll have an exhaust video
Still not running?
