This hits me in two very different ways simultaneously. One is pride and satisfaction from what hard work and faith will get you; but I think it also conveys that life can chew you up and spit you out and you have to find a way to keep pushing. I lost everything a few years ago and I’m still rebuilding. There’s a saying “don’t get too big for your britches”. Life punched me in the gut and kicked me when I was down and it definitely keeps you humble… but it also makes you stronger.

I actually went to school with Blake! He never knew who I was, but he was just a funny goofy guy (kind of like you’ve seen in his earlier videos). It’s been fun to see his development through the years. He is such an amazing artist!

His lyrics about the devil going down to Georgia, is referencing Charlie Daniels old hit song 'The Devil went down to Georgia', the comment about the back 40, is how farmers & ranchers plot their property, in 40 acre sections and the shine comment is referring to moonshine, which is homemade booze. This is a great tune. He has tons of hits himself & he yes he has some amazing duets with his wife Gwen Stefani. A sexy song, 'Nobody but you' & then 'Anywhere with you' is more fun. Find the official videos for them both. Blake met her while they were judges on the Voice, which they are both still doing. He does every season & she has done a few, including this season going right now. Blake has a couple great tunes from when he was younger, like 'Austin', 'The Baby' & 'Home' & then some more recent ones that are spunkier. 'The guy with the girl' is a good one too.
This comment just made me realize why my grandpa had 2 plots of land that were both approx 40acres. He had a high hill property that was 38acres and a low hill property that was 42acres. And every 2 years he would switch which plot the cattle were on. The plot without cattle would do 1year of corn then 1year of soybeans.
@@pleasehelp2446 yup rotating the crops kept the soil healthy. If you do the same crop year after year, that plant sucks the necessary nutrients out, until they are gone. It's smart to plant something that needs different nutrients every other year & if you plowed the plants into the ground at the end of the season, that also enriched the soil... each crop offering different nutrients.
