The men, you see in uniform, walking back-and-forth with rifles are the guards for the tomb of the unknown soldier. These guards don’t wear anything that identifies their rank because the unknown soldier. Nobody knows what his rank was, and they do not want the guards to outrank him, but he is guarded 24 hours a day 365 days a year no matter what the weather there’s videos on that it’s really interesting. You may want to check that out.
For another good laugh, listen to "Brown chicken Brown cow" that one is hilarious For another good deep voice try some Josh Turner, his "why Don twe just dance" and "Long Black Train" Arlington is our national cemetery. My class went there for a field trip and the reverence there was just amazing. If it doesn't touch you there is just no hope for you at all.
my son is in the army and he signed up at 19 years old, im so proud of him and so scared for him at the same time...keep all our men and women in your prayers and yes it is the most selfless thing any person can do
And not just any military members, these days. They had to be very special, standing head-and-shoulders above the other military members, having gone above-and-beyond the call of duty, especially if it happened multiple times before they met their end. Any military member can pick up a Purple Heart but it takes a real saint to earn even just one Congressional Medal of Honor.
@@Acerama they are unidentified soldiers, one from each war. Unknown. One was identified eventually, but the others... no tags, nothing. Someone out there died for their country, and we don't even know their names. The tomb is a monument to those who made that sacrifice. It's guarded 24/7. WE have a lot of monuments in the US, but the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is... sacred in a way that's beyond religion.
Let it be known that there is not a single video on the internet that captures the dichotomy of Trace Adkins music better than this. On one hand you have a song about butts. On the other hand you have one of the most beautiful and somber pieces of country music to ever come out of the genre.
Arlington National Cemetary is a sacred place where we pay tribute to fallen soldiers. If a soldier dies in combat, he or she CAN be buried in Arlington. There are also other ways to get the honor. It's also home to the "Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier". Where Trace was placing the wreath was the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The tomb is guarded 24/7 by a special force. They have even been known to guard it through a hurricane!
I loved your reaction. You were laughing so much with the Honky Tonk (a country expression meaning bar/club) Badonkadonk ... well .... anyway, you were impressed with Trace as you mentioned that it was your first time listening to him. Then Arlington. Wow ... One extreme to the other but only Country Music can do that and have you laughing your head off, keep a tune in your head for days or cry like there's no tomorrow. Loved it.

It is sung from the viewpoint of a soldier, killed in battle and buried at Arlington National Cemetery. It was inspired by United States Marine Corps Corporal Patrick Nixon, who died in battle in 2003. After meeting Nixon's father, Turnbull was inspired to write the song. BTW, you mentioned that you wouldn't know if you had the courage to sign your name to join the military ... well I guess as a father, if you wife's life or your sons' lives were threatened, I can almost guarantee that you would have the courage to defend them. If you country was in danger, you'd find the courage to defend it as well. You're a good man and I know you'd want to help. Blessings from Canada
My uncle was in the USMC for twenty years...Korea and Vietnam combat veteran. He died this year at the age of 88. He was buried at Arlington...the place I always believed that he should be laid to rest. The dignity and respect that the people associated with Arlington give our fallen men and women is unbelievable...I hope they know how much the families like mine appreciate all of their hard work.
Trace Adkins has one of my favorite SPEAKING voices of all time. I love his singing voice too, but I could listen to him talk all day. You really did pick two songs that couldn't be more different. Thank you for a fun and then respectful reaction. Both were great.
I've heard the 21 gun salute too many times, either at burials or parades but after my friend was buried and i heard those shots, i felt like i had been shot. This song is so wonderful and solemn.
Arlington is a reference to Arlington National Cemetery located right outside of Washington DC. Only veterans are buried there. At the parts of the song where you see Trace with the wreath that's at what they call the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. There are several unknowns interred there and it has been perpetually guarded for almost 100 years. There is a very strict ceremony involved with how it is done and people will come there to watch the changing of the guard at various times of the day. For other country music reactions I'd suggest you check out Reba McEntire. I could suggest almost anything from her catalog, really.
Having served in the US Army, Arlington always gets me chocked up. But if you're looking for country songs that are both fun and do storytelling, I'd recommend Dierks Bentley's "What Was I Thinkin' " and then his song "How Am I Doin" right afterwards (the videos show their connection).
Its a miracle he is still alive and able to sing. He was shot by his ex wife and the bullet went through his heart and both lungs and he lived. I guess God wanted him down here to keep making his amazing music.

You should check out 'Songs about me'. It's about a guy who finds out, maybe he DOES like country, Cool song perfect for a guy who is doing what you are doing. ~ And, Arlington is in Virginia & it is the most famous veteran's cemetery in America. When they have those funerals, they have a 21 gun salute. And the large white tomb he visited is the tomb of the unknown soldier & represents all of the fallen. It had a soldier marching around it & that is something that is done 24 hours, 365 days a year in any weather. Guards have to commit to 2 years of living under the tomb in a barracks & are never allowed to touch alcohol again in the lives. Never can do anything to dishonor the position they held... even years later. They all are volunteer soldiers, since it's a crazy commitment.
