the first combo with b3, how do I actually get the b3 to connect?

b3 alone won't connect unless you are still far off, you have to immediately go to Zen1 after b3 input.

weird skill issue i have. I just can't for the love of me do B3 conversion but i can do the cd 4 conversion.
like i don't know what's wrong with me

I had this problem until a few minutes ago, it's an actual discord tech.
Transition to zen immediately after b3, this expands b3's hitbox.
If you're like me who just kept doing b3 by itself for hours in practice mode, I'm glad I'm not alone.
