love how people here are hating on this guy, I wanna see you beat rangchu with your "flashy" feng then. this is literally an ideal feng play. get it done. since almost all fengs lows and launchers are unsafe and can be heavily punishable so hes taking advantage fengs safer moves
As a Feng main I play very fundamental based but i think no combos is a bit strong? Part of being good at fighting games is converting off either your hits or punishing. If someone does something launch punishable and you don’t launch them into a combo that does a million damage i feel you’ve not made the most out of that
I main Jun & Feng and the way this guy plays him is so satisfying, Im not much of a flashy combo guy so seeing someone play like this at a high rank feels great.
Your comment doesn't make sense, you're talking if like launchers and juggling wasn't part of fundamental Tekken, i guess you mean "neutral" or "poking", not "fundamentals", because there's characters like Bryan, which you must have very solid fundamentals in order to make him work, even tough he's a CH & Combo Damage oriented character.
This guy does have combos they just suck. Everyone keeps saying “fundamentals” and it’s not that specifically his neutral is weirdly amazing. His ability to pick through the opponents defense and find perfect moments to stop their pressure. Then he reverts back to his weird neutral where he wins.
@@flyingfrogofdeath9616 no you don’t and that’s how I know you’re bad. Fundamnetals are the basic things needed to be good at a game. His combos suck therefore he has bad fundamentals but one of the pillars of fundamentals. NEUTRAL. He’s really good at. I hope this help your small brain.
@@TheUglyBoardsEhhh, that’s debatable. While yes Fundamentals are basic, playing neutral does go in hand with knowing those fundamentals. Especially at a higher level, which is even more difficult to do. A person doesn’t even need to be combo heavy. You just need good game awareness. Heck, Leo is even more difficult when it comes to that because she’s so linear at times.
He’s number 1 ranked because nashi, joey fury, and knee haven’t spent too much time on ranked with the character yet 😂 However this dudes fundamentals seem perfect for Tekken 8, love his use of FC df4 usage!!!
Lol he’s not even top anymore. Db3 is now launchable by anyone with a 15frame, so not just kazuya. He’s way more steppable than he was before. B1 is now -12. Etc. He’s well rounded, like Jin always was. He has an answer for everything but some characters have a better or worse answer. That’s how all-around characters are
He's busted imo. Crazy good evasiveness and movement. 3+4 during heat is insane and leaves in bsckturn so u get to command grab or mix. Play clean, get your pokes then pop vtrigger for 60-70% free damage I swear
@KeithKillingly beginner comment, I've not played a single rank match lol. That sounds like a made up solution lol. How u avoid that sword swipe from Victor?
Can be easily punished, very predictable moves in purple and upper ranks. Yes, they are strong, but it seemed like there weren't any opportunities to even use them in the clips without getting punished hard for it.
You do realize how ahead he is with his fundamentals right? That in itself is what makes this absolutely mind boggling to watch compared to any other Mishima gameplay unless they’re using heihachi or kaz doing their max damage combos
Its not about combos, just every high lvl feng plays like this, check Joka guy does the same exact things and its dull af, works yes, they are good yes, resident sleeper yes@@6omni6draconian6
And yet he sits at 200,000+ with less than 200 other people on the planet🤷🏽♂️ Feng might be the most defensive character in the game, while most of the other cast is essentially "who blows the other up first". It ain't flashy but clearly effective.
You say that like having decent fundamentals is easy. If it's not impressive, then you do it. Tekken is not an easy game to play, especially at high level
Such a boring player. Even his name is boring a bunch of i and L. He also needs to work on his combos. Leaving damage on the table is a lower level mistake.

Exactly. As a Feng main, I really liked his gameplay personally and I don't understand the hate at all.
Feng is insaaaanely punishable on those moves indeed. They're low on start up and have huge windows afterwards.
Fucking goals. I love his gameplan, stick to the fundamentals and win. No flash, no combos.

Some people seriously think fighting games are just about doing big combos? Fundamentals will wreak any combo savant 💪🏽

I envy you man. I’m Flame Ruler but i dont have the patience and composure as you. Amazing job!!!
02:05 min what a step
Hes mixing it up, opponents keep mashing high. Altho he never blocks low, blocked once in a couple of dozen lows
Doesn't go for the Landslide Poke seeing all those Crouch Dashes during the Kuma battle

I made my Feng actually look like Sea King Retsu, though I'm NOWHERE NEAR good enough to be a top player. Just a Tekken franchise fan
