Nice save after the clear issues. Can't say that it's never happened to me , because there's been a couple that just couldn't be saved , stripping them only made things 20 times worse than it was .🤣😂 But we move on and keep building.. Your Snowman build came out nicely in the end.. Nice work my friend.👍
Thanks a lot. And I literally cried. Last time I ever had that happen to me, I was 12 and had an MPC 68-69 Charger that I painted Gold. But back then I didn't care. Cheers Corey "Earl"
Awesome job! Any idea why it crinkled like that? I’ve had mixed results with spraying clear over some of my paint jobs, but never could figure out why. Now I’m almost afraid to even try it again.
@@darrellkidd5177 Thanks for the love there Darrell. As for the paint, I have a theory. First off, I've never used Rustoleum on models before. I always used Testors spray but they are no longer available. I found the gloss Rustoleum really taking a long time to cure. I was still able to put a fingerprint in it after a week! I started to get impatient waiting and I had been doing all my spray painting in my Workshop/Shed. It was late November and starting to get cold so I decided to just do it. And that was it. I've later learned that Chris from Hipguysworkshop, uses a food dehydrator to speed up and help cure his paints faster so he can post his vids within the week. So I won't use Rustoleum on my models. I'll buy Tamiya from now on. Cheers! Earl
Thanks, I had a lot of comments from people I showed, even my brother was impressed!!!.LOL. Twinstix encouraged me to just keep on working the repaint. Thanks for the comment Johnny! Cheers! 🍻 Corey "Earl"
@@coreywidmeyer9521 He had the models that's correct along with The General Lee and others, looks exactly the same and they were real sturdy once together.
ya, its been encouraging. I'm thinking about doing the Rubber Duck and tank trailer. There is a lot more on those to source or get aftermarket stuff, but it would be great!! Cheers Mark! Earl
Just came across from Twinsticks, this is a high end model and a fantastic addition to Marks contribution. You’ve earned a subscriber from me just on that my friend! Excellent work 💪🏻
Thanks a lot Simon! Everybody has been giving me a lot of love for this. My Dad drove a COE Freightliner with a tank trailer when I was a kid. I'm looking to build his truck and trailer in that companies paint scheme. Just got to acquire everything! Cheers 🍻 Earl
Thanks Eric! It's really encouraging to hear praises from experienced modelers. You need to check out twinstick too, and see how he restored it!! Cheers! Earl

Good job buddy looking really nice
I remember my dad had the original of this as well as many more from that time period.
The models I assume. And even today they are just as difficult to build. Practically the same old molds!!
Cheers!
