Great review. At first i didn't care for the silver dial but it's really growing on me. For anyone who doesn't like the feel of the mesh make sure to ask for the right size at your AD. They come in three sizes and it makes a huge difference.
That is great info to know, I wish I’d had known that before I shot the video. I never even considered there would be multiple sizes but it makes sense. Thank you so much for watching!
@@BlueCollarLuxe yeah. It's a shame Omega leave out important info that will get more sales. The point you made about the sapphire is a big selling point and a reason (not good one 😅) why the prices went up
The Sapphire is great and I think this band is an upgrade as well but of course that’s subjective. To me this release is a pick up preowned in two years and save some money
I am not sure what version you are thinking of both of, the new ones in this video have exhibition case backs but they are missing the date function and I agree, I like having a date. Thank you so much for watch and taking the time to comment!
You got the Omega bug bad! But I have to agree, the big O makes some truly beautiful watches. But what balls to charge that much more for less! But I hope one finds its way to your wrist, as the heart wants… blah blah. Keep up the good work.
Hey thank you so much Chad! I have to be honest, I do love Omega but I am with you on the price, it is getting out of control. I would say these new watches are best picked up on the preowned market in a few years for around $4,500. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I think people are confusing aluminum bezel with the cheapo stuff from decades past. This is the same anodized aluminum from the No time to die model. It’s not the cheap thin crap from 20 yrs ago!
I’m with you, I love the new black version. To be honest I’ve never held the No Time To Die but I love the way it looks. Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks. My favourite SMPs are the sword hand ones. I bought 4 versions (blue, black, steel, titanium) preowned at less than 10K for all 4, and their sole purpose is beach or pool. This new release is simply not to my taste. Good vid tho, keep going !
@@BlueCollarLuxe yes but I started to buy them 15 years ago, so prices were quite good. I love to have them as a set, they're identical except for metal and colour. I think this kind of watch for the beach is not too much value on the wrist, and yet still in the luxury diver segment. Today they're worth a bit more, I think people love the sword hands versions.
I'm wearing the white dial Seamaster in the video, I get that it is a different color but still the same watch so I think that should give me some leadway. By the way the video is just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less but I still appreciate you watching and I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
@@BlueCollarLuxe the white dial is not a opponent for the newest. The configuration is different. In my opinion, the seamaster 42mm is to big for wrists under the 19cm. The price from Omega will decrease to a normal level in a year. Now it is a hype.
Never cared for a date on a watch because I rarely wear one on consecutive days, but I also would not pay 6 grand for either of those, although the black version is attractive. The band looks more like a dress band and somewhat out of place.
I get that, the date can be a pain and I agree the price is too high. This is a pick up preowned for 4K watch to me. I also agree the band is a bit flashy but I really like it! Thank you so much for watching!
1000% with you on the tapered bracelet. I have the newest version of the Speedmaster Professional and think the bracelet may be the best Omega bracelet of all time! Thank you so much for watching!
I’m not a big fan at all of the Seamaster bracelet. I replaced mine with an Omega rubber strap. To be honest I’ve never tried the mesh on but I love the way it looks. Thank you for watching and commenting!
The mesh bracelet may feel great to bad depending on the person’s wrist size as this bracelet does not have any micro adjustments… I have the NTTD and the Milanese bracelet feels great so I am lucky. I prefer titanium watches for their lightness so I shall wait for their next titanium watch.
That is probably the reason I like it, I have really been into vintage a lot over the past year. I just picked up a 1967 Omega Chronostop and a 1970s Girard Perregaux. I just seem to find them a bit more interesting at this point in my collecting then new watches.

@@BlueCollarLuxeALSO YOU SOUND LIKE YOU ARE READING SCRIPT😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 THIS MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU😂😂😂😂😂😂
Maybe not.
The new model, while more expensive, unfortunately lacks the exhibition case back and date window found in the similar 2019 version.

The bezel gives a bold look to the watches, and that's where you make a bezel that make the watch not so boring
I really like the muted look of the aluminum version! Thank you so much for watching!

I agree, very cool watch but I’m still not a fan of the bracelet. I’m a big Omega fan but they need to put some work into updating their bracelets.
The Fat Cat Meeting, I can't unsee it now lol.
I’m sure that’s how it works, lol!
I think it is easy to judge when you are not really the owner of the watch and on the wrist.
Not really sure what you mean?
@ you judge and you only use the commercial stuff from Omega. Please show the real one on the wrist.

I agree with you 100% on the fact it is hype, that seem to be watch world 101 these days!
Omega... Reduce these SMP 300m dimensions to 41mm, 48.5 mm L2L, 12.5 mm thin and use the same bracelet of that new white Speedy. Thanks.
I like the idea but don't think it can be done with the co-axial escapement. Also I love the Speedmaster bracelet but not for the Seamaster.
Great review. The delivery very much sounds like you are reading however.
Thank you for the feedback, I will try to slow down. I’m still kinda new and the nervousness in front of the camera hasn’t yet subsided!

They *do* lool nice, but aluminum _is_ a downgrade.
At this pace, the next models will remove the applied indices 😂
lol, agreed!
They’re doing it to keep with the vintage look as it will fade with time, unlike the ceramic. Still crap though.

Omega need to charge more money for this garbage in order to pay Stevie Wonder for designing the Milanese strap.
Damn that’s harsh, lol
