GROZA is a Black Metal band based in Bavaria, Germany.
The band was started in early 2016 by the singer/guitarist and only functioned as a one man studio project.
In early 2018 it was completed by three other musicians from the local german metal underground scene for playing live and songwriting purposes.
The project soon evolved into a full band situation with everyone contributing to the writing process.
In July 2018 the debut album "UNIFIED IN VOID" was recorded.
UNIFIED IN VOID represents all basic elements, that GROZA is all about.
Fast and melodic pieces full of haunting atmosphere and genuine emotion.
Also lyrically, the band makes no compromises in expressing their most personal convictions and views about humankind, this world and everything within it.
Lyrics:
It lies and sleeps through centuries
unpierced by the spears of Helios
steady flow through the mountains veins
and potential of destruction slumbered in the iron
so mans hands forged weapons
and the daggers gashed aeons
for power and wealth to the highest bidder
I wear a crown of celestial serenity
who are we to decide over life and death
betray comes far cheaper than 30 silver coins
and the coffins will sink forever
Torrent of voices tormenting my mind
planets burning, collapsing in my sight
wield a hammer on the anvil of blight
box of pandora is opening wide
unleash the horrors meant to undo
a mistake called human kind
For what lied and slept through centuries
now finally unleashed to the spears of Helios
and the hammers hit harder and harder
the drills go deeper and deeper
and the snake won't stop searching
until it finally bites its own tail

I'm a huge fan of Mgla, idc if folks throw bs regarding the hoods and influences. These guys are great, they pay great tribute to the greats. Hoods are the new corpse paint
Your words speak my mind, well-stated brother
groza - our bros
There are bands who are inspired by Summoning, Dissection, Watain, Entombed, Into The Gates, Paradise Lost and MGLA ... It doesn't take anything away from them ... Groza is an amazing band, and i hope to see them in Copenhagen one day🤘
Groza - вогонь!!!!
The Mgła influences are definitely there, but I wouldn't call them a rip-off or clone or anything. They still sound very different to Mgła, at least to my ears. Can't wait to see them live this Friday!
"but I wouldn't call them a rip-off or clone or anything" Why not, if they're exactly this? In this track there is NOTHING more than just trying to be Mgła.
@@Nickmusimiecconajmniej3znakihmm I looked at the note structure of similar Mgla songs. And it appears this isn’t a copy or even close. Try again. It’s almost like sub genres sound a certain way and ya know, that’s what makes it a thing. I suppose to you everything must be a rip off though.
SAw you guys at Dark Easter 2023 and i can tell your live perf is huge
I see people complaining how they sound the same as MGLA, so what, 90% of new death metal releases sounds the same..anyways, I watched MGLA last month, hell of a show, I expect the same with Groza in December \m/
their whole existance is an appreciation to mgla. i dont know why people dont understand that
@@valorantintel7619the band admitted that they originally formed as a kind of Mgła worship, which you can certainly hear on their first album, but even then, how does it matter? How many bands sound almost exactly like another band that came before them? You cannot be 100% original, and especially for debut albums and EPs, a certain similarity or even an homage to one's greatest inspirations can be forgiven. This is how subgenres form, after all. And in all honesty, aside from the appearance (as if corpsepaint was original) and some riffs and drum patterns here and there, they don't even sound that much like Mgła. Similar yes, but not like a rip off. You don't have to reinvent the wheel all the time.
I can't wait to see you in Athens!
Perfekt🤘👍
Th riff from With Hearts Toward None IV, only faster?
Instead of appreciating actually having a decent song/band similar to your beloved bands, you throw your shit on?
Look at yourselves soz I can't no more.
Great song, i listen for years.
Actually they sound almost completely different when compared to MGLA. Love them both o/
I think that this band shows eulogy for just how great the Mgła actually is. The style developed by Mgła is second to none and for me personally, that band does not take away from the Mgła greatness in any way, but amplifies it even more.
Yeah, Groza sounds like Mgła, but since Mgła is fucking awesome and we haven't gotten a new album since 2015, I'm pretty glad bands like Groza are around.
Lesson in music, little Kids: a Band is not a ambassador. You cant say Toyota is a Mercedes ripoff because it has four wheels and a engine.
Groza is a unique Band, with their own lyrics and their own riffs etc, so stop hating like 12 year old Kids.
I don't think that guys who call this band a rip off have ever heard much from Black metal outside of Mgła. They are a "rip off" of Mgła just as any band after second wave of Black metal is a rip off of like Mayhem for example...because of similiar tune of guitars intense drumming and lyrics about satanism, misantropy and nihilism. And if you think that they are copy because of similiar outfits....I feel sorry for you guys. And I also have to Ask...do you know about corpse paint ? How many bands have corpse paint like Immortal, Gorgoroth, Carpathian Forest? I think if you try to dive into it you might find that bands are taking inspiration from one another for decades . I know that this might sound shocking but that is how metal genres were made. It is not just Black metal. Regarding the song - atmospheric, intense , melodic ... Just the way i like it.
Its as meaningless as saying since all black metalists wear corpse paint, everyone imitates each other.
Besides Groza have a wildly different style to Mgla. More epic and powermetalish than sinister Mgla, and similarly dramatic, with Mgla being just much darker.
THIS IS AMAZING! Greetings from Brazil.
One of my favourite bands from the new era...great!
Perfection 🖤🖤 In Love With This Band It's Sound Like Mgla 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Love the uncompromising und absolutely unique artistic vision. Also really glad to see that there are still labels out there that instead of promoting blatant rip-offs of (deservingly) trendy bands prefer to sign actual artists.
Looking forward to a clever 💤 response.
I see what you did there :D
nice one
Excellent stuff!
Awesome. Good job!
love the sound production!
Awesome Band, saw them live and it was amazing!
Love it, love the atmosphere ! Good job guys, hope to see you soon in france :)
Unglaublich gut!
Hell yeah! 🔥✌
slappin track!
Look at the comments complaining about the obvious similarities, like the Band wouldnt know.
Calling them Rip-Offs, while basicly the whole Norwegian BM Scene was so close to each other they could've been the same Band.
Instead of embracing a new wave of Bands with that sound and aesthetics its a complete shitshow.
GTFO
Je découvre tout juste j'adore yes !
To all those "hating the haters": C'mon guys! Really? Yes, this is a nice song, and I am not complaining (especially since I've been waiting for a new MGLA album for a while now). But the similarities are blatant and so damn obvious! And I mean musically! I don't even want to address the stylistic "choice" of simply copying MGLA - they look like a cover band, for God's sake! And while you could still attribute this to them being fans of MGLA, or simply trying to copy their idols, the fact that a Bavarian band chooses a Polish name (which, coincidentally, MGLA used for one of their albums) just makes this unbearable to me. Seems like a really scheming and calculating attempt to sell records, a con trying to trick those who were actually looking for the MGLA stuff.
profchaos79 peinlichster scheiß den ich seit langem gesehen habe. Exakte Kopie
This is obviously an exercise in futility.
Damn this is so fckn good. Thanks!
good shit
🤘👿🤘
Well I don't think they're trying to hide the fact that they are heavily inspired by mgła. I mean the Bands Name is the Name of their Debute album. I think they're closer to sounding like mgła than Uada, but if it's a good Thing remains to be Heard with the longplay.
Yes it sounds like Mgla (not that crappy Uada, you dumb f***s)
but in a way I like it as this fact seems to be assumed ... and these guys are killing it.
That's great stuff :)
Simon B literally have the same riffs as Uada... but okay
UPLIFTING...
Why compare this with Mgla, they doesnt even sound like them.
Groza got a more raw sound while Mgla is melodic and dark.
And by they way, every band got their influences from something, life experience, the society etc.
Soon you all will whine about that every black metal band stole the corpse paint idea from mayhem's vocalist Dead because he was the first black metaler with corpse paint.
Come on, enjoy the good song or keep scrolling!
I think because MGLA have an album called Groza and then you can clearly hear some mgla influnence.
It sounds like a mix of Mgła & Inquisition.. Really too close as I know those two bands really well
Actually check your facts about that dead was the first to introduce corpse paint because he was not. The first known introduction of corpse paint was believe it or not out of all bands it was lou reed with the velvet underground at a show they played in 67 i believe. Also what about Alice Cooper, and also king diamond. The norse stole that idea from us americans. Thanks for reading and allowing me to educate you sir!

Uada conceived with Mgła it seems...
Her şey sağlam olmuş. Klibi de sevdim.
Mal wieder zufällig auf was verdammt geiles gestoßen. Hervorragend 🤘
Au-Dessus + Mgła + Uada
S 3:13 min. Super! 👍🤘💀👿🤘🤘
Mgła 2.0.
@@SoulpunkTVshow Well, I don’t know. I love Mgła and would be happy to see anything any close to them.
HAIL GROZA,UADA,MGLA
Jonathan hail MGLA, not bad copies like Vada and this shit Groza...
@@FabianSC1981 Don't be silly : it's not original at all, I totally agree, but this song is really good.
klingt zwar wie Mgla, ist aber trotzdem gut!
Coming to Poland by any chance?
Bartosz Zaremba hopefully this year
@@AOPRecords dont xd
Damn! I've just discovered this band and this song is amazing ! Sounds like a mix between Inquisition and Mgla. Not really original, but who cares ? If the music is good... It would have been perfect with a guitar solo, in my opinion.
and UADA
Nice, where are those guys from?
Germany
Poland*
1 year ago half of you doesnt even know Mgła or this genre , it is like comparing any of bm bands from 90s. Similar names, thematics, corpse paint, riffs etc... oh and i forgot now we have internet the place of wisdom and opinions.
That wasn't bad, but I was expecting something new and most creative from Mgla. Oh wait.... They're not Mgla! They re a bunch of german Mgla cosplayers
Despite their name and aesthetic, they sound nothing like Mgła. Musically they sound more like Inquisition or latter day 1349
Much Mgła inside :V

İyi iyi gideri var bunların
Mix of Mgła & Inquisition... Really too much
Exercises in Wannabillity
lol why are you here? They publicly have stated they worship MGLA.
this music is too good to just be copycats of Mgla, it's not nearly similar enough to justify the stolen outfits. This kicks ass, would definitely stand by it's own merit if you guys ditched the look
I think it's pretty fine to have influences, but come on, using even the name of the album of Mgla? Covering faces? Mgla it's unique!! Try to be a lil bit more original, or in best case, just make a cover band. PS: I really liked the song and video, I'm just kinda annoyed that it's a copy paste of one of my favorites bands xD
Same here. Mgła is my favorite band, even though it's annoying because Groza is a copy, they sound really good
Honestly, I feel like being upset with them for covering their faces is like being upset with Mayhem for doing corpsepaint after Immortal and Darkthrone.
Edit: noticed that my phone autocorrected Mayhem to Maybe four weeks after commenting.
Mgła and Uada are band not genre. You guys should getting over now.
i really dont know what to think about this. guess ive never seen a rip-off like this...BUT the song is great.
Too much Mgla vibe. The riffs are the same as some Mgla songs. I like it and I don't like it. A little bit more originality could be great and healthy for them.
Good video too.
I was thinking the same, but it is good to see a new band that sounds like Mgla :). You are right about the second part but with a bit of time it's gonna be very cool ! lml

what happened with Mgla?
They became posers?
@@SatanenPerkele ahahahahhahaahahhahahahahahahaha
the music is really good, but why copy the whole mgla visual concept? try to focus on your own image.
please stop putting garbage bags in your fucking heads!!!! there´s already more than 10 bands with the same gimmick.
Well at least you can now book something like MGLA, when your local Antifa once again destroys the event in the first place....
this band is a clear copy of MGLA have the same style, dress in the same way and it is clear that his name was taken from the MGLA disc of 2008 that coincidentally is called Groza.
Coincidence? I do not think so!!!!
there is a gun known as a groza, did they steal it from mgla too? Jesus
Mgla already exist. No more fanbands, thanks.
I like it
Why? Just because of their clothing?
You don't call Bathory a Venom ripoff, do you?
Mgła is better
TheEr3i well.. of course.
Powodzenia!
Im sorry but this is a MGLA rip off.
Za bardzo brniemy w rejony gdzie panuje MGŁA...Szkoda👎
I mean its ok to have influences and stuff but this is a fucking rip off. Still like it thou xD
