Okay, this video hits harder than Christmas Cheers and Blood Brothers. This hits too close to home. My grandpa died in 2021 and it destroyed my nana. She tried all she could to keep him alive despite his stubbornness, but he refused to go to the hospital because he couldn't stand being away from her for so long. The last thing he told her was 'I love you too. You're my whole world'. He passed the next day and my family lost our Trooper of a family member. My nana still blames herself for his passing, claiming she didn't do enough to help him. It was never her fault. My grandpa would tend to his garden whenever he's not sick or in pain. It was something he's proud of like his family. That garden has been there since my dad, uncle, and aunt were kids. I remember running around the yard and sleeping on the porch swing with my grandpa. To honor him, we continue to care for his garden. Get rid of weeds and fallen leaves, making sure the flowers are tended to and watered, my parents and I even bought some of his favorite plants to add to the garden. It's sometimes hard to grasp that he's no longer in pain and is with his family in the afterlife, but he was a very impactful man that has been in my life since I was born. Te extraño mucho, abuelo.
