I really feel like bands like this are part of a new wave of black metal, with black hoods and concealed faces instead of corpsepaint, nihilism instead of satanism and audible bass in the mix. I never was a huge fan of black metal, but this I like. The melodic part also has some strong screamo/post-hardcore vibes, and it only makes it better in my opinion. Great song.
I like both- hooded bands like Gaerea, Uada, Groza, Mgla and the ones with corpse paint. I was recently at two black metal events - one was Mgla , they were hooded and the other few days ago- Taake with Nordjevel and Theotoxin as supporting acts- all wore corpse paint

Saw you in Trier not too long ago, and your performance was excellent, GROZA. Better than headliner Harakiri for the sky imho. Schammasch were excellent aswell, and HFTS were OK, i guess...expected more tbh. JJ seemed kinda lost at some point, and seemed to fight against his own band members, lol...not like other live vids i saw on here...I'm not even complaining, because the underground showed 'em in the end, and that's always a good thing. :) The available merch from every single artist on that evening was outstanding, btw. My poor wallet, lol.

There is not an infinite amount of melodies to be created. You can not scan thousands and thousands of songs for each riff you come up with to avoid being acused of "stealing". The second half of the riff and the tune are slightly different and so is the overall vibe of that part. Thanks for showing me that song. I haven't heard of Plaga yet either.
Another project of M. or Mgla 2.0 ? A few minor differences between the two subjects would be found - the shape of the hoods, for example. More blasts instead of cymbal bells. Maybe something else... :)

Did you say the same thing when Norway bred dozens of black metal bands all with the same style and aesthetic? No? Because it's a fact that when someone innovates something good, and inspires others, they want to put their own spin on what influenced them. That's how music works. Otherwise, genres would not exist.
Is every female-fronted symphonic metal band a Nightwish rip-off? Is every black metal band a Venom rip-off? Is every fantasy book a LotR rip-off? Mgla produced some good music. Are there some similarities between Groza and Mgla - yes, there are some. Does it make Groza's music less beautiful, captivating and amazing? Absolutely not!

People now want to hear and see new things. If one after the other copies are good for you, I can recommend many groups like Mgla. There are also AI-made ones.

To me personally, Redemptive End managed to do what The Age of Excuse failed at. Also, I highly doubt that the AI has developed that far to produce a music that would really be enjoyable.

In an interview they are saying the band started as a Mgla tribute band but "developed their own style over time", which unlike Uada, I am not really seeing here.

Yet again, even if Groza copied Mgla to a certain way, I cannot ignore the fact that I enjoyed Redemptive End much more than the "Original" Mgla's Age of Excuse.
