This is a really important concept and I’d love to see Pebble succeed! I do think that ultimately we should have a physical data/electrical connection between the Pebble and the tow vehicle so they can coordinate on stability control and pool power, but even in this form it’s incredibly useful!
That looks so cool though. Shame it is only a trailer attachment and not actual RV that could drive on its own. Great video and interview and demonstration from the Gentleman, much respect.
Thanks for watching! We'll see what the future holds for Pebble. Maybe one day they will have different classes that accommodate driving if enough people ask for it 🤷🏼♀️
We are looking forward to taking delivery when it is time for our reservation to become realized. We will publish a great deal of content at that time. Thank you for watching and commenting! -Producer Tim
We hope you had a chance to watch part 1 of this video linked in the description. It contains a great deal of foundational information. Thanks for your kind comment! -Producer Tim
how will the charging experience be? Placing the trailer and the car to separate stalls... Hope this is convenient. And I hope there is no internet connection needed for the controller. 🤔
The controller does not require any kind of outside Internet connection. It operates on a secure, isolated, and dedicated local area network. Charging it can be done with Level2 or DC quick charging. Importantly, it charges with no effort by 1000W+ of rooftop chargers. The RV becomes a backup power source for your home, acting like a few Powerwall units. All of these details are stated in this video and on Part 1 of this series, linked in the description. -Producer Tim
Will a plug-in hybrid like the BMW 50e experience the trailer propelling itself, or will it just be a regular trailer that is towed? What is the tongue weight? Are the water tanks heated or inside the heated space? What is the insulation and how noisy is it in heavy rain?
This is a prototype. Final details are unknown. As for your BMW question, it doesn't matter what the tow vehicle uses for propulsion. The trailer will have the ability to use some of its own energy to reduce the energy required to move it around. That said, our channel focuses exclusively on 100% electric vehicles. It if has a tank of any kind, we do not cover that here. -Producer Tim
Great concept but totally impractical. The interior layout provides no relaxation area unless you put it into bed mode and who wants to do that. Where can you mount a TV and relax to watch it!
I think the price is a bit too high, but I hope they are successful so we can maybe get a cheaper version in the future. The issues I see is mainly that EVs towing this isn't going to be much better with just a 45KW assist. So the range is still going to be an issue and limit destination with EVs towing it. I feel like you need a Cybertruck with a Range Extender + a Pebble with and even bigger battery option. ~ 100kwh. And maybe that would give you some serious range to get it over to some remote destinations. But we're talking like $300k at that point 🤣... Just to do a complete EV desolate camper adventure? I think a standard towing vehicle with extra gas is going more places with this. I know some lucky folks out there will do it... And I'd happily join their luxury EV adventures 😉. But I think for the rest of people, a standard towing vehicle and the newer campers on the market with any arbitrary solar are going to enable the same destination stays. And that's just it... The destination is the key selling point of getting into rv camping. Unfortunately this the Yacht club is your target audience for this.
These are about half the price of a comparably sized Airstream which does not offer insta-camp, magic hitch, ez tow, or the enormous battery capacity. They aren't cheap, but they are not at the top of the price range for new RVs either. We have a Rivian R1T Max Pack and a Cybertruck AWD. We reserved a range extender. We'll share our experiences on this site. Thank you for sharing your views. -Producer Tim
My biggest question is why isn'g anyone thinking of using this with a hybrid of some type... the new 2024 Land Cruiser has a 6000lb towing capacity and a 2.4kW inverter onboard. With enough fuel, you could remain camped indefinitely.
If people want to burn gas, the market is loaded with options today. This channel is definitely not a place to expect pro-combustion chatter. -Producer Tim
Thanks for the awesome video! I am thinking about reserving one too. Only concern is internal height clearance. I am 6’6” and just want to make sure there is enough space. Do u know the height of the ceilings?
The lead engineer is about your height and he is fine standing in the prototype. Miss GoElectric is about 6ft and you can see plenty of clearance in this video: ua-cam.com/video/0dqY5MTF8Y0/v-deo.html That said, nobody has seen a production version in person and we know there have been some changes to the body. Reservations are refundable, so there is little reason to delay. If final specifications are inadequate for your needs, cancel then. -Producer Tim
There is plumbing so winterization will be required. Information about thermal properties, warranty, and repair will become available when the vehicle is for sale. This is a prototype. -Producer Tim
Lightship is larger, but a lot of the the collapsing upper shell greatly reduces utilization of vertical space. Neither company has shown a production final version. We will be able to draw conclusions then. Here is our full Lightship tour: ua-cam.com/video/yE35H5I1yDI/v-deo.html

Thanks for another informative and interesting interview. Can’t wait to see how things work out with the R1T and CT towing Pebble!
Both vehicles work great with the Pebble Flow :) More info will be shared in the coming months.

Amazing! Pulling that with an electric car and potentially having the two communicate for energy use and safe driving…exciting stuff for the future!
Completely agree! Thanks for watching and commenting 🤓
Nifty! Wouldn't surprise me if they figure out a way to connect the safety chains also!

fingers crossed that this goes into production!

Really confused on the storage space for these. Where do you put your camping equipment, clothing, tent since no awning, etc?
