Some of Philadelphia's Finest, Sister Sledge! They were the complete package, the could sing, the could dance, and the were all Beautiful Ladies!
And they had class.
Someone say only two of them still live
Stylish and talented brunette sisters
@@annaritaranalli1791 actually 4 of them are still living. Joni passed away.
So much beauty, so much rhythm, so much talent there.
Elegant too❤️❤️❤️
One of the greatest eras in music history
One of the greatest Rogers guitar riffs
one of a kind
Yes!!
Like Prince's rift on "Kiss"
Ben Webb ...and Bernard Edwards bass hooks
Agree, but Reach Your Peak is right up there
Back when performers were both elegant and beautiful.
She look so young. You can tell she’s still a baby but with such a mature velvet voice. And that guitar riff is just pure crack.
@semajhinton1 let's see this came out in 79. Kathy and I were 19. They came to my college campus and performed at the event center. They put on a nice show.
That Bass and those horns tho...
The disco days were so much fun. Dancing every weekend was the norm. We were fit. I miss those days.
These ladies are such babes.

The Elegant & Poised Sister Group Sister Sledge one of my favorite Groups in the 70s & 80s. Debbie Sledge was probably on maternity leave and the other sister took her place for awhile. All of them were gorgeous RIP to Joni Sledge.
Those were the days beautiful talented people having a passion for artistic expression. And just having fun.
There was no music like the music from the late 70's and early 80's.
THE PRINCESSES OF DISCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow
That I've ever seen
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow
One night in a disco on the outskirts of Frisco
I was cruising with my favorite gang
The place was so boring filled with out-of-towners touring
I knew that it wasn't my thing
I really wasn't caring, but I felt my eyes staring
At a guy who stuck out in the crowd
He had the kind of body that would shame Adonis
And a face that would make any man proud
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow
That I've ever seen (ooh)
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow
The champion of dance, his moves will put you in a trance
And he never leaves the disco alone
Arrogance but not conceit, as a man he's complete
My creme de la creme, please take me home
He wears the finest clothes, the best designers Heaven knows
Ooh, from his head down to his toes
Halston, Gucci, Fiorucci
He looks like a still, that man is dressed to kill
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow
That I've ever seen (I've ever seen)
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow (ooh, ooh, ooh-wow)
Oh, what, wow (hey)
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow
That I've ever seen (I love your moves)
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow (that I've ever seen)
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow
That I've ever seen (I've ever seen)
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow (ooh, ooh, ooh-wow)
Oh, what, wow (hey)
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow
That I've ever seen (I love your moves)
Oh, what, wow
He's the greatest dancer
Oh, what, wow (that I've ever seen)

70s
Katlego beesnaar man you don't even know. I was in California at the time and every chance I got I was in Los Angeles at the clubs. L.A. was on fire at that time and the clubs was always jumping. Sister Sledge's music was all over the place. Nile and Bernard are pure genius. They were the perfect Producers for the sisters.

Kathy is the cutest singer ever in this clip. So classy, unlike today's performers.
The singer in this song is Kathy or Joni?
@@Shamimfarsi kathy

It was an amazing time with amazing music and the talent was off the charts! I mean, there were so many hit songs seemed like every week there was a new song out and let’s not forget the talent, performances and of course the voices!
Every weekend we would be at Parties, clubs, block parties, street dances, you name… It was so much fun back then time just flew by! What I would do to get those times back!
Yes Nile Rogers from Chic you can hear it in the sound
Brilliant track, and I was only 3 months old when this was broadcast in March 1979. I prefer this to anything from the last 15 years.

45 YEARS AGO (January 22, 1979): Sister Sledge released their album “We Are Family” (#1 R&B album charts; #3 pop album charts). It featured the title track, along with “Thinking of You,” “Lost in Music,” and “He’s the Greatest Dancer.”
(All tracks on the album were produced and composed by Chic founders/bandmates Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards).

The rift bounces all over the place wow
Still a great song 🌠
Fully clothed and simple beautiful
Eu adorooooo essa música
We have to rely on the Dutch for decent pictures and sound quality from the 1970s.
Kathy always looks so innocent in these early videos, with those braces.
They were perfect ❤
Gorgeous ladies 😍
I love this song a classic
Good one! My favorite was Lost in Music.
Comments on classic videos can never just be about how good the music is, the comments have to be really grumpy and exaggerate how terrible things are today.
I always loved this song. I don't remember this choreography, but I was never into planned out routines.
