@Queen Daisy hi Daisy. Mostly great northerns , lima beans, lentils, and I mix them with chickpeas sometimes. I went from 274 to 240 since January. No workout. Just a lot more beans. I also cut out on the soda pop. I can't believe it. 😆. I hope this helps. Have a great day
@@kevinwilson3337 no only beans and nuts have something called a second meal effect after eating beans and nuts not only is your appetite less(I feel my appetite satisfied from nuts but not from beans) but for up to 24 hours your insulin will be suppressed meaning eating carbs and fat will have less impact on your body. Insulin is the hormone that turns carbs into fat or stores dietary fat so essentially you will store less fat and I assume your body will also be open to burning more fat so avoid a few hundred calories a day and you should lose weight.

However beans do contain Leucine (one of the 9) and this one seems to be the most important of them for muscle growth. The amino acid beans lack is Methionine which is high in rice, dairy, and meats. The internet says you need about 19mg of Methionine per body kg. So if beans are your main source of protein, make sure you eat other things to fill in the Methionine.
PSA: don’t eat beans or only eat it once in a blue moon if you have kidney disease or kidney issues . Beans are very high in potassium , phosphorous , etc that can be very hard on your kidneys. Instead opt for organic psyllium husk , ideally whole form .
