I’m hoping to have a successful breeding as well many spawns many eggs but I never moved them to another tank just letting them learn how to care for the eggs first

I am new to breeding these fish, today I saw this behaviour while the male took over 1/2 of the tank, should I put them alone in a 3 foot tank?
