Hi Rahul, There are many ways online that tells one the gender of the discus pairs however it's not 100% accurate. The reason for this is they generally say male is biggest in pair or fins shape, aggression and so on. This in some cases isn't correct as they based it on angel fish gender identification methods. Imo the only 100% way to identify which is male and female is to observe them breeding and look at breeding tube. The females tube would be described a blunt pencil tip whilst male is sharp and at angle facing backwards. If u can observe the egg laying process you would know which is male and female. Just a word of caution, until u get fry or can see if the eggs turn dark in color that indicates that you have a male and female. Sometimes due to lack of mature males or mates , females do pair up and you get only eggs but no wrigglers. Stunning discus pairs. Keep up great work.👍 Hope this helps.
Sir! I'm watching your channel coz, i have 1m discus tank in my home. 2 males and 6 females are there. But still not becomes pair out. Last week i check water ph, it shows 5, is there any issues with this ph for pairing
Hello Rahul , two of my fish are really getting aggressive they are chasing all my other fish in the tank is there any chance of them getting paired up.. Please let me know
I have a breeding pair of discus with me and I am a hobbyist. The pair is shivering and they are attacking other discus fishes. I really don’t like to breed and I have space issue. Will the breeding pair kill my other discus fishes??
Hi Rahul.... Nice video as usual.. I have a question, when it comes to breeding pair what matters whether the size of the discus or the age of the discus...?
Thank you.. Cannot say.. Both matters.. With healthy Discus you get more Hatch rate....Age also matters because over time they also learn the art of breeding.. So both matters
Hi sir.... I have a breeding pair of discus... They successfully breed but today the female are more aggressive and she bite a male discus... Wht should i do...??
They Wil be fine.... Don't worry.. They also have family issues 😂😂... If it continues you will have to separate them... Observe for few days then decide
Hi... Black spots is called Discus peppering. Very common in few varieties of Discus... It can be due to lots of reasons water condition, tank positioning, tank mates, tank background other dominant Discus or illness... Mainly this happens due to stress... Reason for stress can be all the above
What’s your secret to growing fry I pp as you do but they still end up dieing I do 100 water change once a day in 20 gallon should I do more ? Great vid btw
See all of it also depends on the parents also.. If the parents are not great then all this can happen... Like I had very good hatches and healthy babies in start.. But later same issues... So we need to keep the parents well and healthy then the babies will also be fine
Hi Rahul! Man I'm from Pakistan and I live in Hyderabad Sindh here temperature raises around 47 Celcius, do you suggest how do I handle temp during summer months, I have heard that in South side in India temp also raise too much in summer so can you tell me how do you Handel High temp. Tia
Discus generally like warm water.. And if room temp is 47 the water will never reach that much of temp.. So summer is OK for Discus... Winter's are bad for them
my discus fishes are 1 year old and their size varies from 5-4 inches. sometimes they become hell aggressive I don't why. How to know if they are ready to breed?
They are slowly paring up... Now the pair will start marking one area in the tank.. And will not allow any one there... Then if they feel safe they will start laying eggs
@@Gauravslash don't do anything now.. Wait till they start.. They might lay eggs on the wall or filter pipe.. Don't worry.. Because if you add something new.. They might get scared . Just let them be...
Out of 6 discus, I got two pair. They got aggressive and one jumped out and died and the other I took to the pet shop. Then I divided the tank into two, one side for each pair.
It's beautiful to watch them grow 😇
Very nice video rahul.

Hello Rahul , two of my fish are really getting aggressive they are chasing all my other fish in the tank is there any chance of them getting paired up.. Please let me know
Most likely... That is one of the major behaviour changes that happens when they pair up
@@FwrapperAqua What shall I do separate the two or keep them in the display tank.
Wait till they lay eggs.. Till then it's not confirmed if they are a pair...
