When Colette was zoomed in on Emmi's smiling face, it instantly reminded me of her classic "if you're happy and you know it smile" moment on the vlogs. No joke, I probably have more memories of this family than my own.😅

I'll never forget your saying, "Many hands make for light work." I love leftovers! Learned that for leftover, you should only ever heat up what you can eat because it's not good for food to get reheated multiple times. YES, fancy bowls! Not eat from tupperware too much. I warm things up in the toaster oven! Feel like I'm also a mega proud nerd in recognizing the PS4 home screen song in the background during leftovers talk ahahhaaha! Love the car dance tradition too.

Everyone has been sharing their “I’ve been watching since” comments, so I wanted to join in. I’ve been watching since the very beginning, back when it was just Gavin, Avia, and Emmi - back in 2009 when you were vlogging everyday to celebrate being 29. Back in 2009, I was 14. Now I’m 28! Maybe I should start a daily vlog when I turn 29! 😅 Anyways, thank you for your vlogs and for sharing your beautiful family and life with us. Back in 2009 I was a child in the middle of a very messy divorce and your daily uploads always made me feel better!

I can't help but notice how healthy a kid Brock is, inside and out. And Dax, well.. not so much. And I dont mean to be so critical of Dax it's just that it's clear that Brock is blessed and Dax is going to need a little bit more attention and encouragement. When I was a kid I was just like Dax if not more, I was very small and skinny for my age, incredibly shy, and I looked way younger than I actually was. I didn't have a dad to guide me through it, just an uncle who would come around once in a while and criticize me for being the way I was. Looking back now I know he meant well but I certainly didn't take it that way at the time. Fortunate for me though I discovered weight lifting in highschool and have loved it ever since. I put some muscle, not a lot, still stuggled with gaining size but at least I went from being a scrawny stick to looking decently fit. Gained some confidence, I saw myself through, just me figuring out this manhood thing all on my own. Thank God the boys have you, shay.

Wow. Everyone’s so big now. I could cry. Emmi has grown so much that “babytard” feels like a moniker from a million years ago. Such a mature/deep/nonbaby voice she has now. Feminine and all that, but no longer the little kid voice I last remember hearing out of her. Like Emma Watson in the first Potter movie vs the last. I love that Emmi’s still so funny but like… in an older kid way now, so that’s nice. And look at Daxton speaking in full sentences! 🥲 Brock too! And with his own laptop??? Big kid with $$$ flex for sure. I always loved the athleticism in this family and love that the boys are in sports and especially loved how Colette and Emmi can (still) just whip out some handstands so casually.
And gosh, while watching this, I couldn’t help but notice immediately that Daxton looks so much like Emmi used to look while Brock looks so much like Gavin used to look. And look at Avia! She’s a whole _almost_ adult using wit and snark about going to Starbucks. Starbucks corporation! A little consumer! Lol, I can’t. *sigh* I know that they have to grow up but it oddly makes me sad. Why is that? I mean, I’ve grown up too. I wish it didn’t make me sad. Growth is good. Also… I don’t care for Elon Musk personally. His personality seems 😖 and 🤢. But I’m not his “target demo.” Not a bro. He seems sexist but almost worse than that is how he’s made the ‘blue verification checkmark’ system on Twitter meaningless chaos. It’s all so absurd, this timeline. But to end positively… some of his hobbies and endeavors actually seem cool. I’ll always have a soft spot for, and childhood memories tied to, this family. ❤️
