what the van reminds me of is your humbling beginnings. from taking toilet paper from taco bell because you couldn't afford it, to taking your family to los angeles... you started with very little, you lived within your means, you worked your butt off and you have an amazing story to show for it. and your story continues even now. bye van!

Oh!!! Right at the beginning, little Gavin!!! It’s ok to be sentimental over a car. I patted our truck goodbye as my husband drove out of the driveway to its new owner. We had it 10 years and it was so good to us. Kind of felt like I was letting a good ol’ loyal friend go. Still get a little teary eyed.
You guys filled my life at a young age with positivity and hope during times that felt hopeless, that feeling of family and love always shined through with these blessings of videos!! Much love to THE Van!! 😥❤

My favorite memory of the van is when you paid it off. I kinda remember you got a bonus from work or something and you were asking the audience what you should do with the money and one of the options was to pay off the van. And in the next vid you said thats what you were gonna do the whole time regardless of what we said. You mentioned that in the Bible it says that the debtor is slave to the lender and I have always remembered that and I have avoided debt like the plague. So thanks for that lol

I have to say Shay, watching Gavin for this long and seeing/listening to that high five at the end made me miss my father so much and the handshake we do every time we see each other. Its going to be a sad day when he leaves and I'm so excited to see what he does, what an amazing man he has become.

It reminded me of the Disneyland vlog after when Daxton was born, in his pumpkin pajamas, he did the exact same thing "This is my hand, duh, hey welcome to the world, this is my hand!". Got to be one of my favorite moments ever. Besides the "bow and arrow" one😂

I still drive my old family car. It's an old 1998 BMW the same age I am . Still runs has 234,000 miles on it. I Take back and forth to rehearsals. Has been to many many shows. I drove it From Los Angeles all way up to San Francisco . Great Car!

This was SO fun! LOVED all the old clips. Great memories. I started watching when y'all returned to ID to have Brock. At that point you had 700 videos and I spent months watching the daily and also several old ones to catch up. And now the kids are so grown up. The "bow and arrow" clip is iconic!

I was in highschool when i start watching you guys. I used to watch your videos whenever i was sad or mad. It was the only thing that made me calm. Now i am married, you guys inspired me to have my own family. Love you guys and thank you for all the content you put in this platform. It sure did help me over the years

we had a 2000 Astro Van and had many memories with that vehicle for almost 19 years. Vehicles are full of memories probably more than most possessions. Going down memory lane had to be fun for you. Bitter Sweet. Oh well. Time for another van, Shay. lol.
Another funny memory from this van, around 2009 or so, you were driving around, you drove up to a giant pile of leaves raked up in a church parking lot, Shay you got out, and jumped in the pile of leaves and rolled all around while Colette filmed from inside the van. It was so random and hilarious!
I think the title of that vlog is “the Mormons are coming!”

I love it when you throw old clips into the vlogs, it always brings back great memories. I love watching old vlogs because it's almost like watching a documentary on the early days off youtube. How maker studios got started. the vlogs of shay helping Philip Defranco move out to California, shay hanging out with a young Shane Dawson or Ian and Anthony before Smosh was a thing.

I just said goodbye to my Honda Civic that I had for 9 1/2 years. I needed a new car but it was sad to let it go. Lots of memories with that car, it had around 173,300 miles too.
