What about a full on ecosystem with some part of land and some part of water. This would honestly turn out cool if done with the correct planning. Or you can also make a HAMBURGER!!
nice idea and nice video but the fish choice is not that good... the redtail will get too big for that tank and those cichlids are wayy too aggressive and also too big.
@@InhaledOxygen so if i post videos of fish im a terrium tinker clone 💀 like honestly let th man post vids. Also sharks are fine with ciclids. (Idk how big the tank is tho)

the video was just too amazing I was surprised when I saw that u only had 54 subs the quality was amazing and the duckweed u got from the pond is actually Azolla (mosquito fern) I hope the tank is 20 gallons at least as Thomas (red tailed shark) require a tank at 20 gallons in size (if there are mistakes in the spelling and all sry as I broke my right arm it took me quite long to write this )

Hey fishtale I’ve been wanting a eco system for a while but my dad didn’t let me but I can now what do you recommend? I was thinking axolotls (they have to be in a cage or tank)
hi, sorry for late response. I don't know anything about axolotls, but I love those guys. if your making your first ecosystem id start off with a 20 gallon freshwater tank, or if you want to do something else just do some research on what your interested in. enjoy
30 gallon tank is the best choice with a huge filter and a skimmer for axolotls but you can research other things about axolotls because I don’t know that much about the accessories I just tried it and it worked.
@@fishtaleTV also, are you gonna make a part 2 or you're just gonna let part 1 fly? I wonder what happened after that.. did Thomas take revenge or no?..
damn this is so underrated nd you channel too i thought youd have a few thousands keep up with the humour btw very less of them are of that type 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I did the same thing in a 10 gallon tank as an experiment. I went to a local pond, walked out about waist deep and scooped up a couple of shovel fulls of mud/sand from the bottom. I filled two 5 gallon buckets with pond water, grabbed a handful of floating plants (I don't know the name of it) and caught about 20 minnows. I took everything home and set up my tank outside and under my carport. The water was extremely muddy so I added a sponge filter and an air stone. The air stone provide water surface agitation and the sponge filter cleared up the water a bit. After a few days, the water was a lot better but still very murky and it stunk like the pond so I rinsed off the plants with a water hose and I did a 50% water change to pull out some of the murky water hoping I wouldn't upset the natural bacteria levels from the pond substrate and water. About a week later, the minnows were still alive so I did another 50% water change. The water was very clear so a few days later I went to the lake with my daughter and had her catch me a few fish. She got me 3 very nice baby Bluegills. I wasn't going to keep all 3 but a thunderstorm popped up without warning so we grabbed our stuff and got off the lake. I put the 3 Bluegill in the tank and they did really well. Knowing the little tank was overcrowded, I eventually moved a couple of them to my 125 gallon cichlid tank inside my house. They fit in well with the cichlids probably because the Bluegill were a bit bigger than the cichlids. Anyway, now that I know I can set up a pond tank, I'm looking to get a much bigger tank and replicate it on a much larger scale. I eventually want to have a tank with different types of pond fish - bluegill, warmouth, redbreast, baby bass, perch, shiners, crawdad and maybe even a small catfish.
Those ciclidos will devour the shrimps and the redtail is gonna get massive but not gonna lie your on a good start just don't use beach sand next time I learn that the hard way.
very nice video but please buy a way bigger tank becouse the red tail shark can get massive up to 7 inches also the chilids can get very big but ceep up the good work
Hello, I’m not THAT into to aquariums but I make terrariums all the time. One tip is to buy plants from a local fish store and you should get it from lakes outside cause you could introduce pests, invasive and other bad things. Btw that isn’t duckweed, but looks like some sort of cool floater!
