I can absolutely relate to the feeling you're describing post-divorce. My ex and I separated almost 2 years ago and while we were together, I had sort of accepted the fact that I would never truly live the life I wanted to live. Since the separation, it really has felt like I am finally LIVING my life and still feels almost surreal at times!

Lastly, …..I can tell you that my husband -soulmate-and I had a fabulous 500 person wedding, a beautiful diamond engagement ring he picked out special for me, a grand celebration and a Hawaii honeymoon, and our families and friends still say thank you to us today sooooo…..I fully understand where your mom was coming from bc when your daughter or son gets married, your family especially your parents are so proud of that🤗…..god bless🙏🏼

My wedding was my partner and I and both set of parents ...a Ted Baker dress that I loved and a really nice meal on our favourite restaurant. I was home on my couch by 5 pm😂. It was perfect

I totally understand, but as someone that’s been divorced & in some failed relationships, I think it’s good to be open to meeting new ppl. Not cheating, of course, but staying open. I think you’re single until you’re married.
Talking about marriage me and my husband had a long weekend with our families and a few friends. Was the best wedding ever, bare foot on the beach in Spain. I never wanted a big marriage and I just had a very simple white dress. No one had ever seen a bride barefoot before lol. We also hung out by the beach , very relaxed and everyone loved it.

💯agree, my wedding was absolutely beautiful, but if I were to do it over l’d just do a small gathering with a handful of people. It was ridiculously expensive, 300 people I don’t even remember seeing, and went by in the blink of an eye. Such a waste!
