I'm having an issue with my top dash vents staying open and the heater valve not closing but occasionally it will randomly turn off the heater if the outside weather is cold although the top vent still stays open blowing cold air. Need to narrow it down and see if my flap behind the speedo is leaking or working still. Car is a 93 W201.
Hi Peter: Hope you have recovered and doing well. Started getting colder air when heater is on economy or standard, max heat. heat is good when windshield defrost is pressed... Took out the monovalve and it looks good . Gave it a 12V test and it retracted fine. put the monovalve back on car with connection unplugged. tested voltage on plug: CC off 14.3v CC Defrost, High Fan, Max Temp 1.4v CC Economy, High Fan, Max Temp 13.9v CC Normal button, High Fan , Max Temp 13.5v CC Normal button, Auto Fan , Max Temp 13.7v CC Normal button, Low Fan , Max Temp 13.9v battery voltage around 14.2v-14.3v It seems that the monovalve is closing on everything except defrost from these readings, no? Should I replace the CC ? what should be my next steps? Also, does the car inside temperature sensor play a role on max heat or only on auto? Thanks again...

Hello, my 560sel seems to only blow one speed regardless of fan setting, also when on defrost it blows only full hot air even if wheel is set to cold. Is this normal?
