Dude, i thought i was attacked because sounds made when you walk over tools and stuff are very loud. Its a gem of a game even with some problems. The atmosphere is crazy. And UnrealEngine looks fantastic..
If you look in the settings there's multiple audio options that aren't optimized for a headset by default for some reason. Change that and then set the dynamic range to what sounds good for you. Hope this helps.
It doesn’t actually sound like this person even actually played it (the way he words things a lot)…but you know the new generation they’ll all cry about everything if anything slightly deviates from their expectations

Yea other than lackluster stealth, this is one of my main issues. There’s a lot of times that mutants or NPCs just randomly spawn in an area near you once you move a bit away populating an area absolutely nobody was nearby or emptying a previously populated place with seemingly no trace. You can tell they tryed to have that experience simulated with alot of wandering packs of creatures and stalkers, but there is a lack of depth and immersion especially with the AI at times.
GSC employees have said before and after release that A-Life 2.0 exists in STALKER 2. Now, they don't actually describe what A-Life 2.0's objective is and how it works, so I'm not sure if the offline AI is just bugged in some way or if that was left out of this game. It is very possible that the offline simulation of NPCs doesn't exist, or it could be that it's bugged and needs to be patched. Hopefully the latter, because I agree that it was the best part of the other STALKER games.

Im enjoying the game so far. I have about 6 hours. Im playing on the mid difficulty, I think the encumbrance in this game is great. Its not realistic for a person to have a backpack with 7 pistols 2 shotguns, 3 rifles, and an abundance of ammo for each on top of your equipped items. Theres a reason nearly every stalker stash you find on the map has a description relating to "I have too much stuff ill come back for some of it later." Theres a stash box in the first village you find. Only take what you need before you go out. Store the rest. Don't bring all your ammo with you, you will find more. It adds realism that so many games have been seriously lacking.
Death Standing is one of those games where you just got to stick with it until Chapter 3, I think it was. When it came out on PC and I was reading the steam reviews, there were a lot of negative reviews, but then there were also a lot of "just stick with it until chapter 3." So, I did and sure enough, I was like, "I get it." Not the plot. I'm still not sure I get the plot even though it was entertaining, but I got why people enjoyed the game.
LOL I am a long time stalker, it was everything I wanted. The jank are merely anomalies waiting to reveal themselves. And the design is just like the original ones. Just like space marine two, it's a game design that is older in its stylings. And it's not fall out, it's not an rpg, it's not an apocalypse, this isn't a game you can just out level difficulty. As for story etc... First time in the zone? 😅😂😂😂😂
Calm down it just came out, it’ll get fixed, patched and updated for the better. Games 10 years ago still had a fair amount of issues at release but people seem to forget that.
Fun thing is stealth in stalker can be interrupted by stuff under your legs. If you push some kind of box that cause sounds it could make enemies to set alarm. It's called immersive game. Surely there are some bugs with detection of player in some places, hope they will be fixed fast
The true strength of this release is the modding community and what they might achieve with the new updated engine and ressources in the years to come. I for one know watching made me feel like playing. Not the new release, all though that too would be a blast. No, it made me feel like playing the Anomaly or GAMMA mods, the utmost cream of the crop after 16-17 years of modding the original game assets.
I'm playing on the middle difficulty, on the Xbox series x. I've noticed a few AI issues (the fire side chats not working, or some scripted combats between npcs not doing anything if I ran for cover lol) Mutant AI didn't just charge directly at me, I've had packs of dogs swarm, take turns, or come at me from all sides so if I killed one infront of me there was another behind me. It's interesting so far, and I'm enjoying it.
I’m surprised no one compared this to metro exodus , it’s basically same premise and if you loved metro you will love stalker it’s way harder but not as polished as metro but still extremely fun. Day one patch fixed a bunch of issues
First 15 minutes - picked a fight I shouldn't have and a bit later cheated the game by dumping all my loot in a container before you are incapacitated. 3 hours in: getting my bearings together, while still wearing most basic gear, fought another Bloodsucker for a quest and immediately after - killed 3x Bloodsuckers that attacked me at the same time. IS THAT ALL YOU GOT GAME!?
If the map becomes so big that it becomes a running simulator then you should add vehicles. They don't have to be too fast , they can be slow small off-road vehicles . And realistically off-road vehicles are slow in off-road
In stalker there aren't good or bad reactions. The reason everyone is there is because they broke in to make money. They eliminate the morality question with the setting. Sure some people help others, but ultimately, they didn't come here to help anyone. It only happens if it's in their individual self interest
Be honest, how are the story, immersion, side quests, fun aspects of the game? I couldn't care less about the technical issues, since most of these reviews are based off of the pre release build and the day 1 patch should fix most, either ways i dont mind bugs, and performance issues, how fun is the game? Ill be playing it this weekend, so wanna know, cause most of these reviews only seem to copy paste each other
personal opinion here 1) the story people complain about isnt a valid complaint to me, i feel the story isnt god tier but its decent at the very least 2) game runs smooth, good animations and good conversation system 3) gunplay as short to mid ranges is fun, but for longer ranges it gets a little finicky, at least on an xbox controller, probably not an issue for MnK, i advise reconfiguring some settings to how you like them overall, i can see myself sinking a good many hours into stalker 2
Enjoying the game on Xbox, no real issues beyond lighting being apparently broken. There’s no ambient moonlight and interiors are so dark I need a flashlight to see even with sun coming from outside and lamps and lights on lol
I honestly care less about the reviewers because I don't follow people's point of view. I always like to try the game and see it for myself and most of the time, is the opposite experience than what the dam reviewers were saying. I am my own reviewer and its what matters to me.
I've played them all, individually, and I have Stalker Gamma - a fan-made compilation of all three with loads of embedded Mods - permanently on my HDD. It is, low-key, the best FPS ever made.
This obsession with beautiful graphics caused the devs to push Unreal further than it was designed to be pushed. Never mind the fact that it cannot, and never has been able to 'do' open world games. It's gotten to the stage that Unreal devs just bung a ton of graphical and game features into the engine and hope that DLSS will make it playable.
Critics when Bethesda makes them wait thru loading screens instead of making an arduous and boring 5 minute walk: 😡 Critics when GSC makes them walk through a beautiful and realized open world for 5 minutes instead of skipping it with fast travel: 😡
This review I'd accurate. I'm playing on rookie and so far I'm just wondering doing quest I want to do the quest but it just feels like a shooter you have a story for and that's it so far. Fetch quest really
It seems like an amazing base, but I won’t be playing it for a year or 2, when huge bug fixes and modpacks come out, like anomaly or other fine details added.
I legit liked the intro. I'm glad I played a few hours before I watch reviews. They seem like they aren't getting how bad games are these days. The bugs haven't been too bad in my experience. I didn't play the 1st one cus the old graphics kill me. This has been a great game for me. Reviews are meaningless. But I still can't stop watching them.

The only thing that's made me take a break from playing was the game crashing on me. I don't think anyone should even try to compare this to Fallout 4, if anything, it's better compared to Metro.
Grok has already stated he isn't going a G.A.M.M.A for stalker 2, however once overhaul projects come out when the modding tools are released, then you might find something similar to gamma for stalker 2
Never played the first one. Tried this last night and died like 30 seconds into it lol. Got through the intro to the game and died to the first group of enemies I ran into it. Keep forgetting about bleeding out all the time. I dont have an opinion on it yet so Ill keep going and see whats up.
It's unfortunate that it released in this state since I had high hopes for it. But maybe after a lot of patches and a sale I'll pick it up down the road.
There is a loud vocal minority crying that the game is trash. It's not. It runs fine if your not playing on a potato. I have experienced a minor graphical bug. And performance dips in towns. That's it. The game is a blast so far. I'm about to hop back in.
Yeah it’s a good stalker game so far. Obviously casuals are going to be filtered. My biggest gripe is the engine and the performance, as well as enemies popping in out of nowhere.
Most of these reviews were done before the day 1 patch released. Its still not perfect but its better than i was was pre launch which is what the reviewers are basing their reviews off.
Best to wait until the major patches are through. But what iam worried about is the " A-Life" missing and the enemy spawns scripted close to you. A cleared place is occupied moments later. The AI could be better, nobody wants bulletsponges. Alot of stuff needs rebalancing, does nobody playtest anymore?
Made it to the second area, biggest complaints are as follows... Oddly enough, game feels far too fast? Movement speed has me heckin zoomin lol Mutants are far far too spongey. Those bloodsuckers are just SWALLOWING buckshot. Im just running from person I've only heard of once or never heard of, completing a single fetch quest for them then moving onto my next person. The game is fucking dark. The flashlight only illuminates like 10 ft infront of me and I cant see whats heckin SHOOTING AT ME!!!
Sounds like for the most part, the only reason you'd ever try this game is to sometimes feel a "vibe" Perfect candidate for gamepass or to refund on steam
Unfortunately, it’s a no for now. The game crashes every time I get to compilation screen. Truly saddening tbh but kinda figured this would happen even though my PC meets the requirements, drivers installed, and even a clean windows wipe to confirm. Still would not load… Just wish I could play the game like everyone else but looks like that won’t happen.
Hmm, my game doesnt crash but the performance is HORRIBLE, like i mean it stutters every second with fsr 3 enabled, fps is pretty bad sitting at 25 to 40 but i hope this gets better i think it will
@@JimBobmyes thats right, tried it now updated everything and scrubbed my pc clean, runs so much better can even bump up the graphics to medium even if it doesn't sound impressive

Games should name their easiest setting “reviewer difficulty”
hated it, you cannot use stealth, enemies see though walls, chests that spawn an army when you touch it 5 foot away from you and it sucks.
@@makingacomment Yeah calm down they'll patch in the final version or rest of the game, some time in the future, like that's acceptable lol
I've noticed a few AI issues (the fire side chats not working, or some scripted combats between npcs not doing anything if I ran for cover lol)
Mutant AI didn't just charge directly at me, I've had packs of dogs swarm, take turns, or come at me from all sides so if I killed one infront of me there was another behind me.
Well I liked modded stalker but too many mods made me not wanna play often. I have 3080 and ryzen 9 7900x should I play?
So all the complaints are-bugs, and it's a Stalker game. Got it.
Ill be playing it this weekend, so wanna know, cause most of these reviews only seem to copy paste each other
personal opinion here
1) the story people complain about isnt a valid complaint to me, i feel the story isnt god tier but its decent at the very least
2) game runs smooth, good animations and good conversation system
3) gunplay as short to mid ranges is fun, but for longer ranges it gets a little finicky, at least on an xbox controller, probably not an issue for MnK, i advise reconfiguring some settings to how you like them
overall, i can see myself sinking a good many hours into stalker 2
@dragonborn4405 seems like you like it a lot, that's good, what would you rate it out of 10?
Just buy the first game and download the Anomaly custom mod. Way better experience
Just buy it and play it. I played for like 8 hours straight yesterday. It's a blast.
Enemy respawning infinitely in a few sections is stupid though, especially military bases of sorts.
Enjoying the game on Xbox, no real issues beyond lighting being apparently broken. There’s no ambient moonlight and interiors are so dark I need a flashlight to see even with sun coming from outside and lamps and lights on lol
I appreciate this kind of aggregate review analysis
I honestly care less about the reviewers because I don't follow people's point of view. I always like to try the game and see it for myself and most of the time, is the opposite experience than what the dam reviewers were saying. I am my own reviewer and its what matters to me.
Yeah. Only thing I want to know is if it runs. Is it playable without breaking. The rest I want to you discover myself.
@saschaberger3212 it's been running pretty smoothly in my experience so far. I'm sure there's bug, but I'm sure those bugs will patch pretty soon
I think no one has ever played the first Stalker games in there life lol 😂.
But there are a couple that played Gamma, like me, 😂
what? why not?
I've played them all, individually, and I have Stalker Gamma - a fan-made compilation of all three with loads of embedded Mods - permanently on my HDD.
It is, low-key, the best FPS ever made.
@@nealc.6927 gen z is not used to old school shooters. i am amazed they are able to beat from soft games
It wasn't that long ago? Was it?
This obsession with beautiful graphics caused the devs to push Unreal further than it was designed to be pushed. Never mind the fact that it cannot, and never has been able to 'do' open world games. It's gotten to the stage that Unreal devs just bung a ton of graphical and game features into the engine and hope that DLSS will make it playable.
Bro just talking about other reviews like he's got an original thought
there is fast travel, it works similar to the older games. have to find a guide in one of the settlements.
shocking how, the ... feeling of the video is lost, when its just a script, generated from an a.i. summarising reviews
this game doesnt really have that creepy old graphics, i think it was a big part
A big open world where everyone wants to kill you? You could say that about Minecraft
Fallout wishes it was as polished as this.
I don't know how people are complaining about the intro it was fine to me
Great roundup, Juice! Thanks buddy.
Critics when Bethesda makes them wait thru loading screens instead of making an arduous and boring 5 minute walk: 😡
Critics when GSC makes them walk through a beautiful and realized open world for 5 minutes instead of skipping it with fast travel: 😡
Welp I'm not watching this until I try it myself
So why comment on it 😂😂😂
@@HaleTheFreeVoice Why not? ;D
@@chrisa2058 thats…fair honestly 😭😭😭😭😭
@@HaleTheFreeVoice lol ^^
This review I'd accurate. I'm playing on rookie and so far I'm just wondering doing quest I want to do the quest but it just feels like a shooter you have a story for and that's it so far.
Fetch quest really
Also i fear bloodsuckers in this game more than the previous entries
It seems like an amazing base, but I won’t be playing it for a year or 2, when huge bug fixes and modpacks come out, like anomaly or other fine details added.
The keybinds in this game.. were a freaking nightmare.. took me like 2 hours just get it to a workable setting
But I still can't stop watching them.
bugs, half baked game A life doesn't exist i don't understand how people love it.Iam in my mid 30s and i waited this game for a long time.I refunded my deluxe version an hour ago
Because this is also a shill channel paid for by SLAVA UKRAAAANEEEE Microsoft money. I know not a lot of people don't know this, but 90% of videos on UA-cam are paid shills. Look up the dead internet theory.
The only thing that's made me take a break from playing was the game crashing on me. I don't think anyone should even try to compare this to Fallout 4, if anything, it's better compared to Metro.
Stalker 2 Gamma mod. Can't wait haha😂
Don't even start. Your going to get me excited.
Never going to happen
Unreal engine is shitty to mod
@@ivdsto yeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss
Grok has already stated he isn't going a G.A.M.M.A for stalker 2, however once overhaul projects come out when the modding tools are released, then you might find something similar to gamma for stalker 2
Never played the first one. Tried this last night and died like 30 seconds into it lol. Got through the intro to the game and died to the first group of enemies I ran into it. Keep forgetting about bleeding out all the time. I dont have an opinion on it yet so Ill keep going and see whats up.
I didn’t have a single bug well except a random non important npc walking in place
It's unfortunate that it released in this state since I had high hopes for it.
But maybe after a lot of patches and a sale I'll pick it up down the road.
If you have a decent pc you have nothing to worry about. It’s butter.
lol dont be fooled man, the game runs well, looks good and the story isnt top tier but its pretty good and decent
There is a loud vocal minority crying that the game is trash. It's not. It runs fine if your not playing on a potato. I have experienced a minor graphical bug. And performance dips in towns. That's it.
The game is a blast so far. I'm about to hop back in.
stalker is only for certain group of gamers, if you know you know🤭
Never played a stalker game because they looked too jankey in the past but UEVR is going to make this a must play in VR for me though
Yeah it’s a good stalker game so far. Obviously casuals are going to be filtered.
My biggest gripe is the engine and the performance, as well as enemies popping in out of nowhere.
At least the worst you can say that its buggy on launch. Could be worse, could get cancelled 11 days in, or peak at less than 500 players.
Most of these reviews were done before the day 1 patch released. Its still not perfect but its better than i was was pre launch which is what the reviewers are basing their reviews off.
I miss the old stalker death screen, and seeing how the goofy body physics were, god i hate realism
Best to wait until the major patches are through.
But what iam worried about is the " A-Life" missing and the enemy spawns scripted close to you. A cleared place is occupied moments later. The AI could be better, nobody wants bulletsponges. Alot of stuff needs rebalancing, does nobody playtest anymore?
you just described what happened to me when i tried to start the game, compiling shaders then crash three times.
Made it to the second area, biggest complaints are as follows...
Oddly enough, game feels far too fast? Movement speed has me heckin zoomin lol
Mutants are far far too spongey.
Sounds like for the most part, the only reason you'd ever try this game is to sometimes feel a "vibe"
Perfect candidate for gamepass or to refund on steam
so sad that this game has no shadow, if you use flashlight u dont get any shadow, as i remember the old stalker had that all
16:05 yeah I thought stealth would be like metro, but it seems like a complete afterthought.
Is it possible to turn off the crosshairs and the indicator of where the incoming fire is coming from?
Played a few hours last night on launch day. I saw none of the bugs that all of the reviews have mentioned.
I played Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim when they both came out on my PS3 and went a whole year before I had a means to update... I'll be fine playing😅
Hmm, my game doesnt crash but the performance is HORRIBLE, like i mean it stutters every second with fsr 3 enabled, fps is pretty bad sitting at 25 to 40 but i hope this gets better i think it will
But but it’s not a bug it’s an anomoly!!! Harrr harrr harrrrr
I've read on the steam forums you have to update your mother board bios, graphics drivers and GPU drivers and have Windows up to date .
@@JimBobmyes thats right, tried it now updated everything and scrubbed my pc clean, runs so much better can even bump up the graphics to medium even if it doesn't sound impressive
@@JimBobm Tried it all. Still the same. Thanks though. I’m going to try on a different computer later when it gets patched later. Just disappointing.
from what im getting this game is darksouls with guns play it safe not like COD
??? Where are you getting any of this? Hard = dark souls?
I’ve seen tons of reviews today. None of them complained about the start of the game. Guess I’ll find out in a few minutes.
i mean its gonna start out like any stalker game. From what im hearing it'll be most similar to clear sky, but hopefully with a little less radioactive swamp and weapons that cant hit the broadside of a barn
That comment lost me. The start was very straight forward and entertaining.
the onky bad thing i can say is accurste from the video is the many details, unless you pay attention to the story and details it really can confuse you
All these reviews saying there isn't any fast travel. There wasn't on the original either. However there has always been guides, usually located in bars you can pay them to take you to places, essentially fast travelling..
STALKER REVIEWS are getting a bit more Tactical
I can't watch a video unless it shits on Bethesda and Starfield. Please make some more of those.
0:53 my brother in accidentally pressing E instead of F
stalker 1 is still the best. then clear sky.....with mod help
Why everytime he mentions "several reviews" and mentions the issue it sounds like the complainer was GmanLives during his review.
Well, I can't afford to buy the game until January next year so maybe that not a bad thing and hopefully patches will resolve most if not all the current issues by then. I've played the 1st 2 games and really enjoyed them so I will be buying this (along with another larger SSD to install it on,160GB install!)
once you get the hang of it, this game has no bugs. these are anomalies.😊
