I had to stop playing because of the spawning issue. It's ridiculous when after killing a group of bandits more spawn in the same spot when you turn your back. It really takes me out of the game.
Ahhhh but try respawning on THEM!!!! (Seriously, run in to a group, save it - then reload, good chance they just stand in place and pretend you are invisible)
@@chomskysfavefive NGL my take is the removal of A-life is because it brings so much hassle to the game. You have so many modders trying to fix it and the modders are dam good at what they do. You have devs at GSC trying to fix it also and I think they decided to just remove it and increase spawns to move away from A-life once and for all. Sad to say that but increased spawns and removing the A-life text for me just doesn't look right.
nah, i've invested about 12 hours into the game so far. It's playable, it's got some quirks for sure that break immersion, but it's worth playing, can always restart after the big patches come, which are envitible to come soon.
I get that A-Life is bugged and it was a major proponent to the world of STALKER in the first game. But to say this doesn’t feel like a STALKER game is completely inflammatory. It definitely still feels like one.
not really i played every stalker game stalker 2 feels more like a run and gun play atmosphere is not there and no factions to join and the enemies spawn are so retarded feels like i am playing ps2 shooter
I actually very much agree with the post that said it's not a stalker game without A Life, literally feels like fallout right now where I just do missions and kill enemies that show up as soon as I get close, and all the dungeons end up with a path that leads you out just like in skyrim it's so weird.
literally did not have any issues with game other than crashes when chucking a grenade. i had a mutant follow me for miles until i got it to attack some soldiers. i think it is an amazing fucking game.
Agree. I’ve had zero big problems. Minor issues sure, but nothing serious or crazy. Game is amazing! Very fluid high fps. Some fps dips now and again but nothing I cannot easily live with. I hope they will patch it for people who are having issues so that they enjoy too can enjoy this incredible game.
Did you play the og games? Genuine question, not saying it in a asshole way The ai was def better in those games but this is still pretty good, just compared to the older games its a big downgrade
Glad some other people have had chill experiences, other than fps crashes now and again I haven’t even had a noticeable bug. Kinda crazy everyone’s got different experiences like this
@@Terminated_Account The bugs and glitches were def bigger in those og games. If they chose between fixing bugs or improving AI, I'm glad they made STALKER 2 less buggy than the originals. More AI can be added later.
Cyberpunk, as everyone knows, had a chaotic launch. I was really angry about the state of the game myself, but today it's one of my favorite games. I've already completed it several times, and I still enjoy it. Stalker is a franchise I love, and based on my experience with Cyberpunk, I will simply give the developers time to fix what needs fixing before I start playing it. From what I've seen in gameplay and reviews, the game is indeed a good Stalker game. Probably, those who said it isn't just played the GAMMA mod or something like that.
It’s worlds worlds better than cyberpunk at launch I’m not even exaggerating. There’s a severe theme of people being too harsh on it. Criticism isn’t, well it SEEMS broken so I won’t be playing it, and I’ll trash it. People who are playing like me love it
I am on the same boat except I was lucky and cyberpunk wasn't buggy for me. So it all came as a surprise to me when I saw the reviews on it. I think given the circumstance of stalker 2 they deserve a chance.
@@theillegitking1304 there's also way to many people acting like this game is a master piece, I'm liking the game but its def not a master piece. the games got to many issues rn
Nope, i played anomaly and skipped the trilogies... stalker 2 has great potential... mod community will help devs easily... small amount of time before this game is goated
In other words, A Life 2.0 wasn't ready in time for release, so instead we got bog standard enemy spawning as a placeholder until it is ready to be added. As long as it is coming, I don't mind the lack of transparency.
I climbed up a hunters tower in a swamp...as I did i looked out to see 2 species of creatures going to war (about 20 onscreen) then I heard gunfire to see 5 stalkers moved in to fight the horde of creatures....then i noticed stalkers being blown up by 3 soldiers that moved in with grenades...i spent 15min scavenging the battlefield in joy.
They developed it in a warzone, I think that Yes we absolutely should criticise it and also give it the reviews it has, but also to acknowledge that, well, yeah this is kind of expected and understandable
Charging $60 for an Xbox game that literally has movement and stick drift as a feature is diabolical. Just my opinion. Game can't even handle 60fps ffs.
Can we please knock this off? If someone knowingly sells a sub par product IRL then it is offered at a discount. This is sold at and also well above the industry full price for a game. The developers are not doing us a favour. It's a paid product, that they chose to charge full price for. It's not early access. It's not discounted. It's up to 120 euro for just a digital edition. This game has been in development on and off for 14 years. Stop excusing charging for a fundamentally broken product that may or may not eventually have the features they promised would comprise the core of the game.
@@BusesAreFatCarsnot only that but they moved out of Ukraine to continue development of the game. This excuse is so overused and hasn’t applied to them since they moved out of country
I played for about 2 hours before deciding to call it quits. The game is awesome, but the performance is terrible, and the bugs are frustrating. I’ll wait until they iron things out so I can enjoy it properly without getting annoyed. I do give the devs some slack considering what they went through during development, but they also had the option not to release it in this state. So, in a way, people have the right to complain as well. EDIT: Also, in the future, I’m hoping for a better gore system to be implemented. It probably won’t happen officially, but maybe talented modders can create something to make the game more brutal and gritty.
Yeah it has to be punishing on anything less then a 3070, which even that card probably can't hit 60fps on 1440p even with med-high settings (not max). I have a 4090 and so can get 100fps at 4k with frame-gen. However IMO the performance MODS do help, there are like 5 or so of them now, some better then others, people should try them all separately.
stooop this excuse they moved their studio jesus christ. They are selling a product for full price on a free market. War or not is no excuse, I don't care.
@@gerarderloper Same here, but if you go to areas with lots of buildings, the frame rate can tank all the way down to the 50s, which is just nuts. Frame Generation is great, but I can feel the input lag, and for an FPS, that’s not ideal-especially with the already laggy aiming. Mods have helped improve it, but there’s still no way to get a completely smooth experience unless you’re willing to turn everything all the way down, lol.
Honestly on Series X it runs surprisingly well in performance mode. I was morbidly curious and tried it on there because my PC is bricked for the next couple months but honestly I’m gonna continue. My big complaint is the Stealth system. I should say lack of honestly. The enemy alert cones just seem to be so inconsistent. Once that gets ironed out I LITERALLY will have nothing but some nitpicks in my experience.
@@TheWizard1408 same I got about 12 hours in and I don't even wanna continue until they add A-life back I wouldn't even care if they ripped the old one and put it into this stalker
It feels weird walking 1km to a quest location with nothing but silence most of the time. No sqaud patrols,no roaming mutants, and no faction fights. It feels sterile.
They should be proud of this game, it has good bones, a few slight bug fixes and it’ll be perfect. I’d take this everyday over a well functioning game that sucks
They also released the game while their country is being invaded. So yes, while there is some problems I'm just happy the game is even out. I'm playing on PC and haven't had a single issue apart from the performance being slightly lower than what I'd like. I'm running the game at roughly 70-90 fps so it's definitely playable but future updates should improve on that.
No ALife 2.0 makes the game feel very synthetic. The old stalker ganes you would think a fight is done, but the lone surviver would be flanking you. Theyve replaced it with a random squad generator. They pop in, and start a combat scenario with local wildlife or bandits.
Bugs can happen and get fixed, but the Xbox controller drifting (dead zone) probably really needs to get fixed asap.., and not only later, when they fix other bugs.. (its literally unplayable from the start / from the moment you need tp aim properly..)
The enemy AI issue has been so annoying. I was doing a side quest at the Old Mill, and was attacked back to back by waves of dogs. After defeating one pack, another would spawn in shortly after and track me down. They took all of my bullets, and then the AI switched it up by spawning bandits instead. I was forced to run all the way back to Zalissya.
Most of all, I'm really disappointed that the lights like e.g. Flashlight, muzzle flash, campfire, etc. Do not cast shadows. That's really a joke for 2024. And makes Stalker 2 look quite flat as far as lighting / shadows are concerned. The old Stalker parts already had that. This takes the atmosphere to a completely different level. What a shame 😔🤦
6:08 This explains why get a few second freeze every single time when i approach NPCs, but never get performance issues with anything else. That was the culprit: Cutscenes with NPC and NPC
Yep, we definitely need a big fix for everything to run smoothly. I’m having problems with FPS, sometimes it drops too low. The NPCs are also very dumb on any difficulty. I’ve noticed that whether I play on rookie or veteran difficulty, the patterns are the same, the only difference is that rookie difficulty deal less damage. They rarely flank on any difficulty. Most of the time, the NPCs just stand there doing nothing. I hope the fix comes soon. Thanks for the info!👍
@captain_goon5436 Also. YT keeps running defense for you which is annoying. You made your own comment admitting issues, but here you’re saying the opposite. Boss how are you going to lie, run D, and act like nothing is the matter all on the same video? You disgust me.
Ye, I can see where they were coming from but at least they could've made the animations faster. They were trying to mimic Metro Exodus so hard, but failed to realize that Metro games have completely different tempo.
Even with the aim problems on controller, on series x, on performance mode, this game runs great, I haven’t had any problems with “bugs” which is overtly thrown around too much anyways. Y’all see minor graphical errors and think hmm this game is broken and deserves no chance. I’m having a blast, no major gripes here. Everybody really lacks perspective in this matter, this game has more polish at launch than any game we’ve gotten in 5 years.
really any game? we have def had better polished games even this year, and since the point of stalker is the great immersive ai for me that's not even working at the moment. that's a huge problem not a minor bug
"this game has more polish at launch than any game we’ve gotten in 5 years." What are you on about? Elden Ring (2022) that's 2 - 3 years old game and was way more polished, Wukong also more polished, Doom Eternal (2020) 4 years ago, one of the most polished and optimized games I have ever seen. Hogwarts legacy also was more polished at launch. Mafia Definitive Edition and the list goes on and on. I love stalker 2 but it is far from being polished and there were a lot more of games that were polished way better at launch than stalker 2 is.
That’s the thing with what you just said. The series X won’t get much frames but on pc, we have DLSS, Frame gen. When we have over 100FPS the performance drops are so obvious. There’s a bug where you can get a huge stutter and the game will stay around 10FPS for a good 10 seconds +. My girlfriend is going to try it on the X so I’ll see how it is but for PC. There’s a lot more problems just due to the fact we can get way more FPS.
I had major graphical issues, bugs and ofcourse issues with A-Life. I still like the game and will keep playing but not encountering any of that almost feels like a lie, even if it isnt. Sounds a bit like back when people were playing cyberpunk saying they didn't encounter any bugs when that was what the game was known for at the time. Just feel really unlikely. and if waht you are saying is true then congrats! you got extremely lucky.
I am personally loving this game, and the AI spawning hasn't brought up too many issues for me, but I can see the flaws. 20 hours in and the main thing that bothers me is if you stay in a spot for longer than 5 minutes there is a 100% chance a patrol or group of mutanta will spawn nearby and walk directly at you until you are spotted. So I keep trying to sit and play guitar at campfires in the game and am immediately attacked every single time, occasionally the AI I am with will become hostile because a faction they are friendly with will for some reason walk over and instantly be hostile. Though it feels dynamic pretty often on Xbox, occasionally I will get ambushed and then a friendly faction will come help me from nowhere, after emissions I have seen zombies start appearing in areas that were originally safe. Also I had a pack of blind dogs literally save me from a blood sucker and then turn coat and run. It works when it wants to, but this reminds me of the old A-Life, when it was first introduced they toned down ALL the settings on it because it was just too much for the engine to handle, I'm assuming same here.
i didn't notice the issues with spawning till i went to the sphere as part of the main quest. wiped out everyone. started looting. had enemies spawn behind me where i came from, a place i knew for certain was empty of enemies. that said i did encounter a group of loners fighting some bandits. i helped out and then a group of blind dogs came in and attacked both groups. chaos ensued. was quite fun. but i can't tell if that was a scripted thing or what as i've barely ran into anyone out and about other than mutants and bandits. when i run into loners they seem to be permanently hanging out by a campfire or sitting on a bench by where i first met them.
I don't understand why they dropped a lot of light source shadows. Surely the torch should cast shadows. Maybe I'll think about getting it when they add those in...
I had to keep playing because of the spawning issue. It's awesome when after killinga group of bandits more spawn in the same spot when you turn your back. It really takes me to the realistic gameplay.
It's a game I'll buy on sale a few years in the future. Honestly thought the overall atmosphere and gunplay looks super up my alley as someone who likes the Fallout/Post Apocalyptic stuff. It's also a miracle this game is even out considering the circumstances and that really should be factored into the review.
16 hours in and the worst bug I've had was not being able to upgrade a weapon. I think the day 1 patch solved many of the bugs, instantly making the early reviews flat out wrong about the bugs. Its been smooth sailing for me, well as smooth as my pc can hand lol
My assumption... these guys from GSC world were working tirelessly for the last years (factual) and they didnt want to push the release date any longer , their mental stability were already at their limit. Plus they are selfpublished and its very possible they needed the money to pay the devs. I work in software developing and i know the feeling of needing to release the product, knowing there is still things to work and having 0 mental energy to keep going. They made the right choice, now we have to wait a couple of months and the game most likely will be fixed.
stop it. Just stop the emotional manipulation. Yes war is going on, yes their studio has moved. Their real life situation is no excuse. It's a broken product sold for full price and the devs clearly removed any mention of A-Life 2.0 from their store site.
@@Ultradocker everyone is playing the game , you can even play it on a 1080ti from 7 years ago, so if you cant play the game at all its because you dont want to lower the settings to your correct setup, or you just want to overly complain. After several years of delays to polish and make the game the best it can be, I'm disappointed with the amount of bugs and performance issues. HOWEVER this is Stalker and I love me some Stalker.
The bandaid fix for A-life 2 answers my questions. As I was playing many little compounds or abandoned towns would have enemies in them, I would kill them, and then it would spawn another group kill them, and then spawn another group, on and on this would go. And because of that, I would just end up leaving that area.
too late. I have zero patience for a broken product. Refund and forget. And this is coming from a long time stalker fan. But this? They KNEW how broken their game is, lied about A-life and still released it while taking our money. Nope, not with me. So many other games on the horizon.
For anyone playing and struggling with framerate, try TSR on Ultra Quality instead of DLSS, along with FSR3 Frame Gen. This just bumped my performance from a choppy 60fps open world, 30fps in towns on avg, to 110fps open world and 80+fps in towns. Way less stutters and fixed a lot of the graphical glitches i was experiencing. The game is actually playable now for me and enjoying it
I've had no issues so far for my mid range pc all I had to do was just update my graphics drivers my game runs over 60 fps at epic settings. I haven't seen any game breaking bugs over my 15 hrs of play time.
honestly pretty dodgy answers - why was the feature removed from steam page? "yeah marketing" - is it in? "yeah but its bugged" - what can we expect when its fixed? "yeah noticable improvement"
My 1080ti is a literal beast. It can run stalker 2 on high graphic settings and be pretty good and on medium it’s seamless. When I get a new graphics card I’m putting my 1080ti in a display case
Listen, I understand that people are complaining right now. I’m having to run all the graphics on medium because I can’t get it to run anything higher even though I have a monster laptop however I am still very much enjoying the game. Sure it has bugs, but I think these bugs give it some character and given time they will remove the bugs. I think the best thing we should do is truly just enjoy the game and in a month or two all these bugs may be gone. We also have to take into account, that this game was developed in a war zone and many of the male staff have been either drafted or joined the Ukrainian army, so I asked people to refrain from criticizing them too much and give them a chance to fix it
Or, how about - none of you work in software development, you CAN'T work in software development, sit down and stop crying every time a game releases, the adults are sick of it and we're going to turn this car around and you're only allowed to play computer games from the 80s and 90s from now on. Treasure Mountain here we come!
for me, i had to stop playing because the shader compilation when starting the game and the loading times were unbearably long, i spent more time waiting than playing, otherwise the game runs fine and i hope they solve the problems so i can play
I got it a few days ago (gifted as a late birthday gift from my brother) and even installed it, but I have yet to play it let alone launch it. I think I can hold out a little bit more while keeping tabs on the modding community. I’ve dealt with the first one, Bethesda games, CP2077’s launch … I’ve got a backlog of personal mods to finish for Cyberpunk and Starfield, so yea … hopefully in time it can get ironed out.
I downloaded it off gamepass and I had such analogue drift that it made it impossible to play...Gonna give it a couple months and see if they fix the control issues on Xbox.
@sgtmuffinbadger6147 Yeah it's literally unbearable don't know how they released with stick drift I don't even remember the last time I played a single player game with that issue.
Currently, my major concern is the bullets sponge bloodsuckers. I mean, i can deal with frame drops, and texture bugs and overall veteran difficulty ... But "3 mags" bloodsuckers shouldn't be a thing 💀
Played for 6 hours - encountered 4 bugs - really not that bad the only really obstructive bug I encountered was in the sphere mission if you turned a certain way you were standing in chest deep water, if you turned the other way - no water. Weird but not game breaking, my map got bugged out at the end of my play session, reloaded the game and it was fine again. I do not really appreciate new enemies spawning when you walk in and out of a door but I get why it may be happening and it’s not impossible to play around
When I press R to take everything from an inventory, it should close the loot menu and I shouldn't have to open the radial menu to turn in flashlight on, and if I close my radial menu before the light is on you just don't turn it on
I played around 1.5 hours, i werent 100% interested in the game but i wanted to try it, 100 going down to 20 fps made me not feel like it a bit, hope there will be a good patch soon and i’ll try again in the weekend
I've been playing it for the last 2 days and love it. Besides some performance issues, I haven't seen any bugs or major issues Could definitely have some QOL stuff tho. Like the enemies and what everyones saying i agree with. Also veteran difficulty is way to easy with the abundance of loot/enemies spawning. The stealth is kinda janky but kinda works lol
I’m still guna play with bugs. But the big issues i have, is being spotted from afar/From behind walls. And the second, are those grenades enemies throw immediately and with no on screen warning where it is. Especially cos the directional audio system doesn’t work
I had cleared one bandit camp and in 10 minutes i had 3 bandit respawns, 1 bloodsucker, 1 ward, and to top it all of 1 zombie respawn, soo yeah that is my big issue, along with time day passing too fast, and not being able to reload while running
Also gonna wait for A-life to be fixed before buying. Stalker is just a shell without realistic and challenging AI behaviour.I'll enter the Zone when it's ready :) But I'm really glad they are on it. Very eager to see what's next. I'm also very well aware that the team is going through hard times so, chill, there are more important things.
finished the tutorial, started towards rookie village stopped at garbage depot and everyone was just standing around phasing in and out the ground, a pack of flesh came thru about 5 mins later causes chaos then everyone back to standing....the npcs dont even do npc stuff! the grenades suck! have you tried using a knife?? i like this game for what it is but it has soooo much room for improvement
Running a ryzen 9 5950X and an RTX 4070 super and there are certain moments during enemy encounters I'm getting what has to be 30 FPS or less to the point where I can't even shoot so I'm not giving up on it I love it so far but yeah seems like we're going to have to wait a little bit longer for some patches to come out but I have complete hope in the game and considering they made this game while running from a Russian invasion they pretty much nailed it, if you guys haven't seen the documentary on UA-cam I highly suggest checking out the making of this game it'll show you what really happened behind the scenes, these people are so courageous and dedicated
I've had a massive shootout that felt like it went on for 30 minutes, I kill a group and more enemys just kept coming. I didn't think that was necessarily a bad thing, quite the contrary because it was intense and I had to force myself to take good shoots or I would run out of ammo.
I'm disappointed with this knowledge of the bugs being fixed, but there are channels that have their playthroughs up with bad audio or other bugs. Puts a lot of channels on blast that have already done their playthroughs before the embargo.
The one bug that needs to be absolutely fixed is the corrupt save games. I lost over 8 hours due to the save game. There are people who have lost much more. I can't play Russian Roulette with the game where the game will crash at any moment and you lose everything.
I preordered because I know this isn't a huge studio with tons of money backing them, but I really had hoped for a smoother launch. I haven't even played it yet because I don't want to ruin my opinion of the game yet.
They focused on the graphics(spectacle) so much that they aren't able to optimize the core game features. This is kind of why I'm very worried about them switching to Unreal Engine because these types of mistakes is very common on games released on those engines.
"the enemy AI seems to magically know where you are". This is the entirety of general video game AI since forever. The majority of game AI's know exactly where you are and what you are doing, but they have to put on a level of "performance" to act like they don't know where you are, while also making it look like they are searching for you, but also magically hone in on your location all the time. This is the state of video game AI btw. For decades now, publishers have been pushing for nothing but graphical upgrades, yet AI has largely been stuck all the way back in 2008, with little significant upgrades that push the entire industry to follow on (No one in chat say yes, because if that was pushed and was the case, we wouldn't be seeing the stupid level of AI's we're seeing in thousands upon thousands of games). Publishers/studios need to start funnelling some of that dev budget into improving game AI's, because it's becoming more obvious as the years go by now, as to how dated they have become (having to teleport near you, knowing where you are at all times, having 100% accurate aim, having more health, more money/experience than the player, etc). Stalker devs won't be able to fix their AI fully, because CDPR still never fully refurbished their AI either, they changed their spawn distance and crime reporting systems, they didn't radically change how any of their AI approach the player, or how to interact with the player (not in a way that has never been done before, thus it's a basic barebones job of AI, otherwise the world would be praising CDPR's AI, and I do not see any of that being talked about). The only changes you'll be seeing to their AI are spawning them further away, making the AI play this silly obvious song & dance where they have to "act" like they don't know where you are, as they approach your general vicinity, and then accurately shoot you without missing many shots. Why am I rambling like this?, because I care for seeing video game AI improve, and as an RTS player mostly, and RPG second, shooter fan in 3rd, I'm really sick to death with how god awfully stupid/cheaty AI has become over the past 20+yrs, where it has barely changed, barely feels anywhere close to getting out of uncanny valley, and publishers still push for "pwetty graffix", that still don't look amazing on everything, let alone not running so great on multiple platforms. The money is being wasted, while AI in gaming hasn't been getting much love/attention, and I want more ppl to wake up to that reality and demand for improvements for video game AI.
I knew it. npcs in loading wouldn't look like this - this hints at a larger problem. I just dont think there is a backend where distant npcs are simulated.
I have no idea. When cyberpunk released I never experienced the issues others did (was even running it on a meh pc at the time). I am only experiencing very minimal fps drops in Stalker. Sucks that many are experiencing issues, as my current experience with the game is nothing but good
To anyone having a hard time with the game just straight up lagging really bad, do not start the game on the lowest settings. For some odd reason, game works just fine at full medium settings. I'm running a Nvidia GeForce Rtx 3050 ti and a i7 processor in my laptop.
Some good mods on the nexus fix some performance issues as well as balance changes that improve veteran difficulty, items such as meds and food, day/night cycle, and sprint stamina adjustments.
Oh so THAT'S why it feels jittery even when it's running at 60fps. Well hopefully they can fix that. I don't begrudge them for releasing in an unfinished state, you can only delay for so long, and it's clear they're going to continue working on it - it's not like they're abandoning it now it's finally out the door. I'm having fun with it, despite its issues.
So far I have only 2 problems about the game. One is they combined usables in 2 keys. Old games they were bind to f1 f2 f3 and f4. Now you have to remember if you need to hold the Q or E key or just tap it. It's gonna be hard to get used to it. Second problem is guns doesn't do damage. When I first got the AR, I tought couple of headshots to the militaristic guys would kill them but I have to land 3 or 4 headshots before putting them down. Ironicly pistol can kill them in 1 or 2 shots. Rest of the game is playable and understandable to me. Game just got out of course there will be bugs and problems. But yeah about that spawning problem. I had to kill 20ish guys after finding the guy that backstabbed us (can't remember the name but it's beginning of the game.) and had to run because more of them spawned infinitely.
5:40 you can’t expect the reviewers to replay the entire game again. The game should have been delayed a couple weeks more before giving review copy’s out.
@@KiffgrasConnaisseur To be fair that happened in the original game as well. I remember walking around and hearing ricochet noises, then headshot. The guy was half a mile away with a pistol and it was night time pitch black. Made me laugh so much that game.
other than enemies locking onto my location a lot or just spawning out of nowhere, and the frame rate tanking id say its still better than most of the games that have come out this year.
It's very frustrating, i am looting the area after killing them all and all of a sudden more enemies spawn our of nowhere, I also noticed some enemy bodies despawn after new enemies spawn
I had to stop playing because of the spawning issue. It's ridiculous when after killing a group of bandits more spawn in the same spot when you turn your back. It really takes me out of the game.

I get that A-Life is bugged and it was a major proponent to the world of STALKER in the first game. But to say this doesn’t feel like a STALKER game is completely inflammatory. It definitely still feels like one.
I died at least 20 times to a bloodsucker in a cave. It's definitely a STALKER game
The Zone isnt alive anymore
not really i played every stalker game stalker 2 feels more like a run and gun play atmosphere is not there and no factions to join and the enemies spawn are so retarded feels like i am playing ps2 shooter
I actually very much agree with the post that said it's not a stalker game without A Life, literally feels like fallout right now where I just do missions and kill enemies that show up as soon as I get close, and all the dungeons end up with a path that leads you out just like in skyrim it's so weird.
@@lynxlagoon yeah kinda got bored with the game already there is this feel like something is missing i guess it was the A life system
literally did not have any issues with game other than crashes when chucking a grenade. i had a mutant follow me for miles until i got it to attack some soldiers. i think it is an amazing fucking game.
Genuine question, not saying it in a asshole way
The ai was def better in those games but this is still pretty good, just compared to the older games its a big downgrade
@@Terminated_AccountI think the AI is pretty good in the new one. The old games are old as f by now. The new game graphics are crazy compared.
People who are playing like me love it
Yep, they'll fix it.

That's A-life working for once lol
They developed it in a warzone, I think that Yes we absolutely should criticise it and also give it the reviews it has, but also to acknowledge that, well, yeah this is kind of expected and understandable

Charging $60 for an Xbox game that literally has movement and stick drift as a feature is diabolical. Just my opinion. Game can't even handle 60fps ffs.
Like a Russian studio put out a masterpiece charging a cheaper price in the past. Ukrainians put out a dumpster fire for more. 😅
@@Ultradocker Shut up
@@gerarderloper Same here, but if you go to areas with lots of buildings, the frame rate can tank all the way down to the 50s, which is just nuts.
Frame Generation is great, but I can feel the input lag, and for an FPS, that’s not ideal-especially with the already laggy aiming. Mods have helped improve it, but there’s still no way to get a completely smooth experience unless you’re willing to turn everything all the way down, lol.
@@Ultradocker Go cry to someone else.
The missing ALife hit me hard it was litterally one of the best part about stalker 😢
I know and everyone is glossing over it like it don't matter at all, and saying the game is perfect? its the best part of stalker for me
@@TheWizard1408 same I got about 12 hours in and I don't even wanna continue until they add A-life back I wouldn't even care if they ripped the old one and put it into this stalker
It feels weird walking 1km to a quest location with nothing but silence most of the time. No sqaud patrols,no roaming mutants, and no faction fights. It feels sterile.
Did you not watch the video at all? Lol it's literally the first thing they address. It's in the game

Thats the nexus mods going to his head
He said it on purpose. Gets you to comment which amps up engagement metrics.
The stutter is wild in this game, very glad that was mentioned.
Honestly my only complaint
@ same, the game it’s self is really fun
Bugs can happen and get fixed, but the Xbox controller drifting (dead zone) probably really needs to get fixed asap.., and not only later, when they fix other bugs..
(its literally unplayable from the start / from the moment you need tp aim properly..)
someone said it helped when they turned aim assist of, so try that
The dead zone is so annoying... pretty much can't aim because of it
To counter 0 Deadzones, I set my ADS sense to 25 which helped a ton until they sort it out, super slow but it works for now.
I haven’t had any crazy bugs, just a piece of bread that was called bandit skin, worth 20000. Pretty cool anomaly.
Yeah, the dogs are a bit annoying. Any quest, sidequest, or stash location always seems to have a pack of them just chilling.
Got this too. Made the game unplayable unfortunately.
Thanks for the update. I'm a fan of the old games but won't get this one until the kinks have been worked out, so your coverage will be very useful.

Just don't turn your FOV up to max or you'll get frame drops even on performance mode.
really any game? we have def had better polished games even this year, and since the point of stalker is the great immersive ai for me that's not even working at the moment. that's a huge problem not a minor bug
I need a fleshlight keybind
I have it by default the middle mouse button
Beware what flesh means in the zone

At money money
It will not take that long. I say a month or 2 tops.
Nah gamma will still be better
By far and away the biggest complaint for me is the lack of double digit frame rates in towns.
The game is actually playable now for me and enjoying it
Is TSR the secret sauce that crashes less than DLSS? Or is it FSR 3.1 Frame Gen?
@@sammiller6631 fsr frame gen is what doubled my fps, obviously with a noticeable input delay as a downside

Probably explains the relatively constant bloodsuckers. In the originals they were kinda rare
My 1080ti is a literal beast. It can run stalker 2 on high graphic settings and be pretty good and on medium it’s seamless. When I get a new graphics card I’m putting my 1080ti in a display case
this is such lie lol
Glad they're responding to this with plans to fix it instead of blaming fans or giving the classic Bethesda response.
Okay, I'm glad I watched the video. I really thought the performance was just me. I'm having to play with most everything on medium to get 60fps

@sgtmuffinbadger6147 Yeah it's literally unbearable don't know how they released with stick drift I don't even remember the last time I played a single player game with that issue.
They didnt replace the A life 2 feature on steam. It was removed, he other AI refering to combat was already there
Currently, my major concern is the bullets sponge bloodsuckers.
6:03 a fleshlight keybind would go crazy.
I've been playing it for the last 2 days and love it. Besides some performance issues, I haven't seen any bugs or major issues
Could definitely have some QOL stuff tho. Like the enemies and what everyones saying i agree with. Also veteran difficulty is way to easy with the abundance of loot/enemies spawning. The stealth is kinda janky but kinda works lol
The stealth definitely doesn't work, enemies detect you even if they aren't looking at you and you're not making noise
@ThePindar really? I've only had 1 issue with the stealth so far. Might be that I'm just killing everyone fast enough though lol
I had Flesh spawn constantly until I ran out of ammo :( I killed more than 50 on veteran with a pm and a toz
I’m still guna play with bugs. But the big issues i have, is being spotted from afar/From behind walls. And the second, are those grenades enemies throw immediately and with no on screen warning where it is. Especially cos the directional audio system doesn’t work
I had cleared one bandit camp and in 10 minutes i had 3 bandit respawns, 1 bloodsucker, 1 ward, and to top it all of 1 zombie respawn, soo yeah that is my big issue, along with time day passing too fast, and not being able to reload while running
and to be clear I am still gona play the game
Also gonna wait for A-life to be fixed before buying. Stalker is just a shell without realistic and challenging AI behaviour.I'll enter the Zone when it's ready :)
But I'm really glad they are on it. Very eager to see what's next.
I'm also very well aware that the team is going through hard times so, chill, there are more important things.
Also another fix they’re going to implement is mutants being bullet sponges, particularly bloodsuckers

I am addicted to this game. Had like 2 bugs in 15 hours of gameplay and one was just textures on some walls in an area. I love the game though
Not really noticed many bugs, my main issue is performance, cut scenes stutter and FPS drops massively, hope they sort performance first.
finished the tutorial, started towards rookie village stopped at garbage depot and everyone was just standing around phasing in and out the ground, a pack of flesh came thru about 5 mins later causes chaos then everyone back to standing....the npcs dont even do npc stuff! the grenades suck! have you tried using a knife?? i like this game for what it is but it has soooo much room for improvement
I want muzzle flash and the flashlight to cast shadows, also fixing the drifting controller issue would be nice. Oh and ray tracing please.
was delayed umpteen times and still releases like this smh
It's almost like software development takes an enormous amount of time and isn't simple like your job - making sandwiches or whatever at McDonalds.
A-Life is not the biggest issue, performance is and that’s very clear in the discord, players across all specs are having performance issues.
They focused on the graphics(spectacle) so much that they aren't able to optimize the core game features. This is kind of why I'm very worried about them switching to Unreal Engine because these types of mistakes is very common on games released on those engines.

I’ll pick it up in 3 years when it’s out of early access, this trend it's the new standard with games now days.
Grab first slug artifact immediate jumped by invisible tiger hands dude ffs. Straight in no lube
the AI either knows you from miles away (and will headshot you with no warning) or its dumb af even when you are in their view
Yeah I was trying to get an artifact, when suddenly some random pistol dude shot me from a bridge hundreds of meters away. lol
Also they are quite generous with grenades, they have thrown like 3 at the time.
I am proudly part of the 0.1% of your fans.
im happy for the devs that stalker 2 is doing well despite all the problems
i will wait with my playthrough a bit until the first couple fixes roll in
