Thanks a lot, i have 4 likert scae variables measuring the same construct lkert, i will like to have one new variable in order to do regression and correlation analysis, should i use the SUM (total score) or MEAN (average score) , in order to do correlation and regession with it?

How do I calculate this with a reverse coded variable? Do I include only the reverse variable in the calculation, or both this and the original variable?

Hi this is very useful thank you! I have a question though, what is a 'full stop'? It happens at 4:05. The screen is out of focus so I can't see what is typed. Is it a period? "Total.2"? Thanks in advance.

If the variables have different answer stems, and need to be converted to Z scores... can you still do this method, just with Z scores?
