Thanks sir. Excellent data analysis and interpretation of the 5-point Likert scale. It will be much better if you explain more deeply "what MEAN and Standard Deviation stand for; and how they are applied in research both academic and non-academic (project)? This is good for the learners to understand it well. Sir you also need to show on SPPS how to produce the data set into Ms Word
I want to understand how to interpret the mean and standard deviation of the likert scale. I have not heard in the video the role of the standard deviation
Thank you so much Dr. may Almighty God bless you abundantly. I was in between on how to analyze data on my Thesis.
thanks for a very interesting presentation. have learnt a lot from you.
Thank you Dr. Ugo, appreciated this simple tutorial and useful... Love from India.

Thank you, Dr Ugochukwu. This is really insightful and very helpful. I was looking for a way to measure the results. This is the only useful video a have come across on. ps. I was looking for 3 days. 😅
thank you so much, I am struggle with interpreting the results.
Thank you so much for this content. Please do you have literature that back up your decision on the weighted average in this video? Kindly share if there is any..... thanks.
This tutorial is very much useful and I will advise that next time you try to ensure you give more details especially in the area of transitioning from the data into a full report...Once more thank your time
Thank you for finding the tutorial helpful. Sure, your suggestion is welcome. Best wishes
Thanks Dr Okolie @Dr.Okolie for this insightful breakdown of data.
Can the decision column outcome be used to develop an hypothesis, pls expatiate on it.
Also, do you have a video on hypothesis development and 'analysis'? Kindly share the video link in response to my question. Thank you.
Wow, thank you Dr. I learnt so much
Thank you so much Oluchi. Happy you found the tutorial interesting. Please, share and let your students learn from the tutorial too.
Thank you Dr. for the reply. It is you understand my concern. Yes this is good for descriptive analysis what you displayed. My concern is I have Likert scale data collected from the sample. I want to infer the population using this data with a significance test. That is why I asked you. If you have any reference in regard to this or any support, please do Dr. . Thank you for everything.
I suggest you do an analysis that allow you to establish relationships. Check out my video on Grouping Likert Scale data into continuous variables, and also, see my videos on regression analysis. This may be what you want
Hi Dr... Can you please show us how to perform correlation calculation between 2 sets of ordinal data. For instance I wish to see if scores for items in perception correlated with scores in items for knowledge.
Great work
Thank you Dr. Ugochukwu
Thank you so much for finding this tutorial helpful and liking my effort. Best wishes
Thanks so much sir!
Plz sir could you make a class or video on how to analysis demographic characteristics of respondents and how to use charts in SPSS!
@@OnwePaulChikaodili-bi6pf Thank you so much dear Paul. Sure, I will make a video on that soon.
Amazing Approach.
Glad it was helpful!.

Thanks for the presentation. Please it is a good practice to repeat the percentages during the interpretation of the results?.
Thanks a lot Professor! And please how could we decide about an average perception (in case we want to interpret the answers using three perceptions: high- average- and low)? Many thanks
hi dear Dr. your lecture is very important. how to develop an attitude measurement questionnaire patient on radiotherapy treatment
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Thank you very dear Ufuoma for finding the tutorial helpful and interesting. Pls, you may share the tutorial to others who may learn from it, like and subscribe. Best wishes.
Thank you so much, Dr. I really appreciate the way how to use Likert scale data analysis and interpretation of results. I have a question Dr. Can we use any significant test for the decisions you made? If so what test and how, please.
Thank you for the question. If I got your question clearly, you want to base your decision on a statistically significant value like P
THANK YOU SIR, THIS IS HELPING ME RIGHT NOW AS I WAS ALMOST STUCK IN ANALYSING MY RESPONSES. HOW DO I RAISE HYPOTHESIS AND REGRESSION ANALYSIS TOO? REMAIN BLESSED

This tutorial can help you
Thank you for the video, it is really informative and I learnt a new thing. How do I form table of high, low and neutral perception for the respondents, do I make use of equal interval
Thank you. You can simply follow the way I presented the results in the video to present your own table(s).
thank you so much Dr Okolie for this great video. plz I have some questions : your decision to classify the item to low or high perception based on the mean scores of the item itself without taking in consideration the distribution of reponses on the 5-categories (SA,A,UN,D,SD). the third item classified "low perception" and you wrote in the conclusion that "majority of participants had low perception " whereas 68.2% of them answered (SA+A) and 23.8% answered D+SD. how can interpret this contradiction? . Thank you in advanced Dr Okolie
Well done! Thank you, Dr.
Please give a reference for calculating the decision, weighted average, and disagreeing decision. I searched for other sources but could not find the appropriate one.
But the video is also a reference source. A reference source must not be a book. Cite the video
Professor@@Dr.Okolie, really indebted to you. Thank you so much.
This is very helpful! Can you please share with me a good reference book elaborating on this? Thank you!
The video itself is a reference source. All information must not be presented in a book. You are allowed to cite and reference online videos as well.
Thanks for the video. What happens when the mean is equal to the weighted mean
If the Mean of any item is equal to the value of Weighted Mean, it means a positive perception. From the exact value of the Weighted Mean and above is viewed as positive.
That's is great but I strongly recommend you quantify the "majority" and "minority" since this is quantitative study. We need to know how many or percentage form the majority or minority in reporting the findings. Thanks
Good evening sir. I really like how you took time to explain this likert scale data.
Sir, can you send me the data to use for practice.
Thank you.
Thank you for appreciating the video. You can actually use your own data to practice. Simply follow the steps. I do not currently have the data.
I just found the answer
(64 * 5) + (61 * 4) + (13 * 3) + (6 * 2) + (16 * 1) = 320 + 244 + 39 + 12 + 16 = 631
Mean = 631 / 160
Mean = 3.944
It is good to explain every step especially because of people that does not want to over-rely on the software
Great presentation sir. i however need to find a video that teaches how to code the responses.
Thank you so much sir. I have one query. Can you please explain when the questionnaire contains: List of options (7 preferred practices) and ask the respondent to choose their preferences by ranking the options. Then what should we put in values section of variables view in SPSS. And how the ranking preference can be interpreted
Thank you very much, Sir. This video has clarified areas of confusion, and I am grateful. More Grace to keep up the good work. My question is can Likert scale data be used as qualitative data?
Thanks for watching the video. Likert scale questionnaire is structured and cannot allow respondents the opportunity to express themselves beyond the structured questionnaire. Therefore, it cannot be used for qualitative research. Qualitative research makes use of semi-structured questionnaire where the respondents have the freedom to express themselves. Hope this helps.
A nice video indeed. Kudos sir. Please sir do you have explanatory videos on inferential statistics like t-test, anova, PPMC and the likes sir. I'm 100% sure its going to be superb sir if there any and if not can you please help to come up with it sir. Thanks in anticipation sir
Thank you for watching the tutorial. Sure, I will produce detailed videos on t-test and ANOVA soon.
Your video is very informative, thanks! Question: are Likert- scale items ordinal or interval?
Thanks for watching the video. Please like and share.
Sure. Likert-type questions are generally considered ordinal data.
Thank you for your lecture. but ... do we just make a decision based your point or how about a standard scheme ?
Thank you Dr. Okolie for the explanation. Please is this for chapter 4 or 5? I need help
This is the outstanding one that educated me to finish my analyzing data. Special thanks to the professor. 🎉❤
Thank you very much for finding the video helpful. Pls, like and share the video.
