Game absolutely grinds to a halt around level 28 - 32, the difficulty spikes heavily around that point and not all of us get to faff about with developer accounts. That said, it's one of the best mobile games I've played mainly because it's actually a *game* and not just a shell storefront.
Those are all pretty nice tips. I've been playing since this game has been released, and I've usually been doing what you suggest players to do instinctively.
I actually would give another point of advice, though, and that is to not sit on a single team. Explore your options and try different teams for different maps. If your team struggles on a specific stage, try a different team with different heroes and classes. I've always been using Bozel, but when I got to Stage 3-5 in the Time Rift, I actually didn't manage to just win like usual, even though I was 6 levels higher than recommended. I switched Bozel with Freya (a Lancer) and went with a different approach overall. After still struggling a little bit, I then finally managed to get through. All heroes have different attributes to them that make them viable to use, even if they were to be the same class (which wasn't the case in my example).
So yeah. TL;DR: Try different heroes for different situations.
Does that mean certain stages cannot cleared without certain heroes? You know like Brave Frontier and FFBE, where certain content can only be cleared if you own a specific hero. Is this a meta chase game like FFBE?

@Nox Eath Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, a resource burning game that compels you to make expensive micro-transactions. Even among their top tier units, only less than 5% are good. And some content can only be cleared if you have specific units. The game is not balanced, full of glitches and bugs that at times even makes your best units useless.

Nope the premium currency is pretty easy to earn so eventually you will end up getting rare characters I have 5 SSRs and have not spent a dime and I still use the starter characters because they are great
