The PC-FX intro FMV for Langrisser II is just incredible. I can't even imagine how much blood, sweat and tears it took to animate that, largely by hand and only partly by computers back in the 90s. It's such a shame they didn't bring it back for the PS4/Switch/PC remake so more people could appreciate it.
to think I thought one of my favorite Genesis games was the only one of it... Warsong. I got a lot of catching up to do. The part I liked the best about Warsong was the fighting, I loved it when I was kid. All those screams!
Warsong and Der Langrisser are my favorites. Langrisser II was great too but Der Langrisser made it easier for me. I wish Langrisser III & IV were translated into English lately.
I had a Sega Genesis copy of Warsong aka Langrisser 1 back early 2000s.. recently sold it and most of my game collection to a friend.. its was still new in shrink wrap.. cost me a trade of 3 PS1 games lol.😂

As a person who is played Warsong back in the day & now playing Langrisser Mobile, I enjoy seeing glimpses of all the prior versions in between that I missed.
I wish we had a game with as much depth of combat as the mobile one has but... without all the gacha/mobile elements tied into it. Would be a game to remember.
Kinda nuts how the mobile game shits all over the vast bunch of the others in terms of quality. If only we could get a game with that level of spit and polish without the monetization.
The Satoshi artwork alone is worth getting this series for me at least they're beautiful. Those FMV's tho holy shyt seeing Satoshi artwork move like that is so sick to look at.
Warsong for genesis was an amazing game, langrisser 2 for SNES too. Langrisser MOBILE is horrible with big head characters, i hate that, besides that it is slot machine game type like almost all mobile games.
Can see why langrisser deteriorate with the later versions. Graphics does not mean everything. Remake at the end looks interesting though. But mobile is always pay to win z.

Back then, it was so exciting to see something like that. It really was ahead of its time.

I suffered such EMOTIONAL DAMAGE at 14:54, you can't even begin to fathom how much.

L1&2 is my favorite and the PSX version is best imo. Still have the original disc and MD cart in a display case at home.

I played trough Langriser 1&2 remake on the ps4 three times, wish there was more that was accessible but I can see why there aren't.
