@@tcelectronic He's right. You know your stuff. I just ordered my X2 today. (Late to the party but it's taken me over a decade to finally get a looper. Hoping I can get back into recording after a 20 year hiatus from the studio)
I can't say this enough but the Ditto loopers needs a firmware update so it can recieve midi CC messages and sync to midi clock via the usb port! That would make it the perfect looper.
@@florinstanzer5398 I have a Ditto X4, in which they included Midi IN and Thru ports. Very useful in my experimental hip hop group: I take time code from the guy who makes the live beats, and I can lay down ambience, and then do my usual funk stuff over it all.
I was feeling some Sigur Ros vibes by the end of this 😊🎸. Think I'll go hop in some puddles 🤘🏻 Great demo: I've had an X2 for months and didn't know about the backing/stored loop level adjust.
I use with my synths and am having a difficult time... I want a continuous drone backing track but theres always a break when the loop repeats. Is that unavoidable?
Good morning, you can connect in one of the inputs of theDitto x2 pedal, an output from the computer's audio interface?to send you drum loops for example. I have tried and if it recordsbut it is not heard through the speaker.Thank you.
I enjoy the demos and the instructors are great, but the X2 is very confusing to me. There was very little instruction in the box mine came in. I'm hoping to find more on the youtube channel to help me master the pedal.
I would love to have the option on my ditto to be able to restart a loop with a simple tap. I've found out that setting live loops playing with a drummer is reeeally hard...
Just bought one today! Can't wait to receive it and try it out.. Needed one for my church stage for looping certain guitar solos when I'm leading on bass guitar..
Does anyone know of a looper that has all these function but offers even more felxibility with the filtering of the loop, effect etc.? I used Ableton (A Digital Audio Workstation) and want to be able to loop stuff quickly into it whilst keeping it interesting like in a live setting.
My ditto looper died after only 20-30 uses. I used the correct power source but still isnt working. The music store I bought it from wont take it back. How do I get this fixed or replaced?
I just got mine and within 30 minutes, it started doing delay with slapback effects incredibly slow... I didn't have my delay on at all nor in the loop. Why did that happen?
+mickey_blue_eyes all depends on what you want to do. The most common place is to have it as the last thing in your chain, so the effects you apply before it become a recorded part of the loop as well. But you can also have it first in the chain, if you want to use your effects after it to manipulate the sound of the loop. Hope this answers your question :)
Stefan, Are any of these functions you have described in this video as " tips and tricks " documented into a downloadable PDF ? If not could you please put them somewhere as downloadable instructions ? These functions are particularly useful compositional features and benefits.
Hi, cool demo! I have a question: If I use the pedal in a dual amp setup, is it possible to send the dry track to one amp and the loop to the other one? thanks
+Mikael Sejer it's my own homemade delay TonePrint. I call it "The Reel Thing". A bucket brigade and tape echo hybrid :) I'll make it available for you guys very soon. All the best Stefan
Since I see no power supply cord connected to your Ditto X2, it would appear that you are using batteries to power it. Why won't my Ditto X2 work on batteries? Since I just bought it yesterday, if it's not going to work on battery power then it can go back to Amazon where I bought it from.
+Geoffrey Young I understand. Other people have broken the perfect number now though, so you can just like away... if you still want to :) All the best Stefan
I couldn't watch the video and I'll give you a tip about why and about why you're throwing away 30% of your possible viewers. I have ADHD. So do tons of other people. When you start with a long section about what you're going to do instead of doing it, it causes pain to us. In case you think I'm nuts, thing about why no television shows or movies or documentaries have long intros. They just start.
that backing track level feature just sold me on this pedal. thanks for the vid!
this was soo cool, love my Ditto X2 looper soo much and knowing this stuff only makes it better. thank you!!
+greendaymosh happy to hear you learned something new. That's what it's all about :)
Stefan the "creative writer" is more musical than 99% of the pro "guitar demonstrators" on youtube.
+abnzg - Dude!! You're way too kind. Thank you so much for making my morning even better than it already is :) - All the best - Stefan.
TC Electronic Does Stefan have any albums or recorded material available online?

I have been doing my looping the my Flashback, but after seeing this video I want a Ditto X2 more than ever
+Alfonso Crespo-Yapur that's great, man. So happy you liked the video :)
dude always has the most awesomely beat up strats
I just bought this yesterday. Thanks for the information man!!

+FlorisMusic I'll pass on the idea to the development guys. Can't promise anything though :)
That would be great :) check out the vid on my channel to have an idea of what I would like to do with it!
+TC Electronic if I want to use my ditto x2 on stage and feed in loops from a DAW for like big epic intros, am I able to achieve that with this pedal?
@@tcelectronic is there news from the firmware side?

Great shirt you're wearing! 👌
What does the hidden switch marked #1 behind the right battery do ??? Can't find anything about it in the manual .

I think this stuff kind of killed my left footswitch of my ditto x2... expect it to come back to tc for repairing soon...

hi can I loop different sounds from my amp as it has an effects switch ,delay ,wah, trem etc or will it only loop one sound...
I just got mine and within 30 minutes, it started doing delay with slapback effects incredibly slow...

Not currently! But a great idea. Let's see if we get time for it :-)
Thankyou Stefan. Much appreciated.
what are the other pedals you're using?
Wow awesome demo thanks
I'm so getting one of those quickly !
+addazerty So i got one of those right away ! More hacks more hacks ! Please !
Hi, cool demo! I have a question: If I use the pedal in a dual amp setup, is it possible to send the dry track to one amp and the loop to the other one? thanks
+xwigwango - You would need a splitter to do that. Our stereo pedals can't separate the dry and wet signal to different outputs.
Hmm are you sure ? Because afterwards I saw the paul gilbert demo which he seems to be doing exactly that?
xwigwango I'm sure. Just answered you on Facebook :)
thanks!
+TC Electronic So how would one set the splitter to do this?
1:37 "So Sweaty In Here"
Yep his arm pits where dripping!!
He seemed a bit nervous
What delay toneprint is it ? it's awesome !!

+micko larkin sure, I know :) It's a Hansen S-Tone. Check Hansen Guitars out. They make killer axes.

Thank you very much. I see it now after using full screen mode.
