Shin Megami Tensei 4 Boss Masakado [MASTER]
First time playing through SMT4 series.
This game has been recommended to me multiple times.
I've decided to exclude the additional choices from the main story and just keep it full top screen (Beside in Boss fights). Every option I choose are CHAOS answers.
Pre-ordered a 3ds built in capture card a while ago 2016 (February) from Keity, but it takes around 5 months for them to make/ship it (I received it July 8th). Originally I had a 3ds XL just for this game, but the screen on a handheld device was just way too annoying to play on, and I'm not a fan of that but now I can play 3ds games on a monitor/tv with a lot bigger screen and it's a lot better now.

This is one of the coolest ways I've ever seen a boss with a massive scale be represented by turn based gameplay. Takes a long time to actually attack, but hurts like hell when it does.

Lol, if you're referring to his Concentrate/Mazandyne spam that kills you in 1 turn (that got me a lot of times), he doesn't use it if you have someone that repels wind it seems, same with his Heaven's Bow.

@@arzfan29not in ps2 og nocturne. His coding was fucked and he could spam it to 8 turns, go down to 1 turn, and go back up to 8 turns

Wish they kept that scale in the battle somehow, the artwork makes him look like a Shadow of the Colossus boss, the battle perspective makes him look like a giant bully thats 3 times Flynn's size lol

He is aligned to Chaos despite representing the Neutral route lol
This is because he is technically not himself during this sequence. You're essentially snapping him back into himself during this battle, before the nuke hits.

@@ryco9669 It's because of the way alignment is tied to demon races. Masakado is of the Fury race and the Fury race is composed of all chaos demons.
This design is fucking sick. I love it, along the music and that picture they made of his when Stephen showed him.
It's a shame you don't get that sense of scale in the actual fight. The art made it look like a Shadow of the Colossus Lovecraftian horror, in battle he looks like he's only 3 times flynss size lol
Makes me wonder who were the humans who repopulated onto the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado? Since the whole world was under missile fire
They were the children abducted by the angels and placed in "cocoons" that ascended into the sky.

it was also explained in smt iv. When you talk to the NPC near the entrance of the park where you fight asmodeous he will tell you what happened. And the people of Mikado were sent to Mikado after masakados became the cieling
I love masakado animation here. Especially with his eyes getting brighter and then darker.
Uriel breaks this game, fuse uriel and every boss is a one shot.
Using the demon fusion lite, you can pass Kannuki Throw onto other demons, essentially being able to mix KT with Phys Pierce
Also, with that method, you can create canonical Mot using Masakado.S

@@madamaklee Could've been a Terminator 3 scenario where there were nukes a plenty and someone triggered them to fire at each other. Megami Tensei II had the whole world nuked in its intro, so it could be another scenario similar to that (only with Masakado protecting Japan right at the nick of time).

@@burgerking-eg7xc Yeah, in SMT1, Ambassador Thorman, who was Thor in disguise, was the Ambassador of the USA and one of YHVH's lackeys. So it's probably both the USA and YHVH if we're going by SMT1 logic.
Something interesting to note - your real enemy is not Masakado...it's the freaking NUKE that's headed your way and will impact in 10 turns. You're basically trying to slap the crazy out of him so he can protect the city.
Also, why are you using Mara as a magic user? He's a physical type, so you'd be better off with Phys Pierce, Charge and some big physical move - unless using Wind/Force attacks is the only way to keep Masakado from going into some sort of pissy boss mode.
Alot of time phys-type demons tend to have high HP which increases their survivability.
With end game demons its okay-ish to make them mages through fusion, their magic stat isn't _that_ low (like Mara starts with 86 Mag)

With fusion in games beyond nocturne you can literally tailor make demons how you want with incenses/manual skill inheritance.

I just saw other guy's video of him cheesing this boss with a Jack Frost
When I play this boss fight he just spams “Curse thy enemy” like a madlad and kills all my party. I had to use the skill that makes a party member to smirk to make him lose turns by missing in order to finally beat him.
honestly definitely seems like he should've been the final boss, especially with how much of an absolute joke Lucifer is

If you have the DLC, fuse Aeshma. He has all the elemental drain passaives.

Lol, even in SMT V: Vengeance, he is still a bullshit boss. Second character in Megaten who's consistantly bullshit as a boss besides Demi-Fiend
