Thank you. I honestly played this fraction mostly for camels and excellent trade/economy buffs, and ability to build stone walls but explanation of the golden age really helped and looks like it’s a huge bonus I never realized existed
Looks really interesting! I'm hoping you'll maybe do a lets play through the single story campaign / campaigns? Hopefully they're not moving more to the multiplayer over story. Love your channel dude!
I think they're a mix of Delhi's turtle, defensive gameplay and the Mongol's aggression. You have to build up your settlement into a city to gain the bonuses, but you can also be aggressive early on or at the same time because of the access to rams and the fact that you can mainly have camel cavalry and have a relatively fast and mobile army.
This is great. I'm now far more interested in AOE4 than ever before. While AOE2 is fantastic, I felt the factions still felt too similar despite the special Unit and/or economic buffs. The factions look great. I still think I will go with the easier factions first but these overviews are great.
ok for the house of wisdom there is a bubble dream to pop here. no the villager cost isnt good to take early, u save 25 food per villager but the time to make beein the same in feudal u dont save much time nor resources this is the kind of tech that in the end is most usefull when u have already another wing to support urself in the booming side cuz it would take a lot of time for this tech to pay back and i mean A LOT of time. the real option u have for feudal is the other three, and they all depend to ur game plan ofc but sinc eur feudal isnt the nicest it will all depend(as always with the abasid) about ur opponent. dont take an early agression tactic on early civ it wont pay off, abassid have one of the weakest and trickiest army in game. so what the option? military will give u extra tankiness and can pay off quickly in early agression and raiding, the comercial feudal tech+30% gold on ur mule is a great early gold tho it is a sensitive one so must be ready to deffend it(or dont if it is to chessy early gold) and the last the culture wing probly the best for booming/get an advantage in tech. why? idk 35% discount in ALL ur tech is ringing a bell? yes it count the tech in the house of wisdom. why ppl keep going for the 25 off the villager reamain a mistery when u can boom in castle harder than anyone with that, ofc u need to have the villager to do it but since the tech that cost food and gold cost less...u get the idea probly the go to for beginer or the go to period, dont undersetimate the power of this one. that beein said the big weakness of the abasid is theyr stregth, those dumbass dev make them strong against cavalry but nothin else, so u must count on ur booming and/or early agression to make the most of it, so yeah its a weak civ since any other civ need u to do the same but at least THEY have military bonus in addition to eco one while the abasid just have eco one. no u cant win just with money in this game...u do with op siege rigth french ,chinese and rus? edit: 11:27 yeah at this point i should mention that past the feudal age strugle, any castle age tech are good to run deppending of ur game plan, two are for booming two are for ur military, and for ur military u have a defensive one and a offensive one(no need to say wich is wich i think u can figure this out). same wise for imp, tho i think u should know that having one more landmark than the other (even if it is a glorified university) is an advantage and u should run the last wing asap and finish every tech in the as u are at it. imp is when ur booming ability would pay off the most, tho lest be carefull to the strength of the other faction ur not invicible far from it. chinesse have better siege, rus better deffense(even tho u past theyr power spike) hre is like u at this point, english just want to fnsh already and french are the king of them all cuz they have good siege, goo cav, good archery, booming left and rigth, and lets not talk about the water should we?

Abbasid has been my favorite civ so far. With so many people picking French having camels has a hard counter has been nice.

They do seem different from the Delhi sultanate, almost Abbasid of them in some ways.
