A subtle thing he did in age 2 - he pulled his gold vills to stack wood and rush out the golden age #1. He built extra houses early and hit it at the 5min mark. He also delayed fresh foodstuffs until about the 6:45 mark instead of going for it right on age up.
Nice breakdown Drongo of what we all know is the most noble civilization in the game. I expect we are going to see a lot of Abbasid mains this season! 🐫
What is your opinion on the BO? Drongo is doing an outstanding job by presenting the BO, but he presents it as an universal BO (or at least beginners could misinterpret it as such)
The BO seems extremely good against Civs who look for map control, like French, Mongol, Delhi (maybe ottomans) or against a fast castling HRE.
However, against defensive civs like Chinese, English or Rus the classical eco boom seems more efficient. I am also quite fond of a FC (culture into military wing) with the new ghulam unit, now shredding villagers and unarmoured units.
@@t3ss33 AoE4 is at a point where you need a different build order for specific match ups and maps. I think this build works great as an aggressive option and VortiX is obviously one of the best so I would imagine he spent time refining what you see here.
I went from an hre MMA spammer in season 4 to a ghulam spammer this season.
@@haaaaaaaank they are so good, much more effective than MAA at raiding and with training camps... My lord are they tanky.
@@haaaaaaaank HRE MAA owns Ghulams. Test it, they basically nerfed MMA for Ab.

You forgot to mention 2:30 "delete your lumber camp as you age up to feudal" cause there's nothing cooler than villagers walking away from an explosion. This immediately gives everyone extra cool points. You're welcome

Ottoman, seen some players on the ladder (1300-1400 elo) that have hit 70+% winrate with ottoman this season when they have never made conq 2 before

If I may ask, in the future videos please switch to the Caster Mode with the display of amount of workers on the resources.
It helps a lot to build an understanding of what is the difference between what the build achieves and what the opponent has at a given point of time.
If you look at the bottom left, it shows how many are on each resource :)

A tip for the amound of TC's you go for. Always 1 more than your opponent.
I personally prefer a build like 802 then ralley 4 on stone get the mili wing stay 4 on food and all rest to wood. The point is you dont make mill and use the 2tc as the lumber camp. So you can have 4 bad boys naughting the opponents base while having 2 been built at 5:30. By your tc is ready you will have the gold to get fresh foodstuff on time. This build has much faster tc and with less vils reassignment.

If you know a few build orders and can execute them, I recommend to try sometime PvP, it's pretty fun!

i did everything the same but i have 371 food when vortix clicks 2nd age

whats point of deleting mining camp? I am no where near competitive but my guess to deny the mongols the pillaging ability?
I feel like this build is mostly vs cavalery civs
Hello Drongo, beautifull content as always. But i got a question, I dont really understand why he destroyed that first gold mine after pulling the 3 vills away, as he want it to stay up for golden age and waste of resources also, was it a missclick? or an high iq play to not show enemy that he is aging up, though seems unlikely o.O A 3rd reason could be cuz he playing against mongols and dont want them to destroy the camp and get bonus?
why is he deleting the stone camp?
why not use caster mode? that way we can see the dead units :D
also we cant see here how many vills he has at any given point because the number u see is mixed with military. To use caster mode just click the button where it says caster mode in the top right menu xD

Mongols got a perk where when pillaging you gain resources I believe (I dont play mongols but I am pretty sure it's one of their key features of a civ)
I tested the Ghulam vs HRE MAA, and HRE MAA owned them. In fact they don't do well vs MAA in general so seems like nerf for Ab...
