I had someone on the other team last night in a 2v2 do the third strategy. I only realized it later in the game when he was willing to take every engagement because his economy was more significant than mine (English) with third fewer villagers. It was insane!
As a main Malian pro player god in the game the best in the world as a malian with 50000000 hours of malian plays with all wins and malian love , i could say malian is nice
What about Malian feudal into survival techs + cows? Harass with warrior scouts and steal enemy deer. Sounds like it'd have lots of synergy for aggressiveness while boosting eco without having to invest into a TC
i’ve been noticing a lot of little bugs that really have been messing up my timings. one for example is villagers comming out of the tc the wrong direction. villagers walking around each other for no reason. and when you place your hre landmark it doesn’t give you influence durning the build. please let devs know
Just found out about the cow boom strat and it allows me to get tier 4 age consistently in 20 mins as a new player. granted ive only tried it against easy bots
Finally a game doing native and Africa type civs right, love it, first time I’ve ever liked playing one, I’m so bored of the typical “bloodthirsty savages” tropes I other games lol
Yeah there Def should closest to tc, everyone has different types of build orders and this is what works for him, I've had good luck with extra on gold, double tc, but use the extra gold to get the cows and it booms pretty hard whilst able to get military out, but yeah Def should have a mine there lol
okay sorry for another question but serious question…. why is it better to trade on the opposite site near the enemy? i would think you would want to trade bottom right to bottom left it’s same distance to each where too right is far from u and close to him ahhhhhh
Honestly the Malian trade boom is going to be hard to stop since they'll prebuild outposts. Getting a big enough mass to burn down the market and actually stop the trade will be hard.
yeah im not a fan. i did a trade boom against a bot to great player and had way to many resources. it’s like if there trading now you have to stop it which feels like another HRE civ
the problem with the 3rd metod, what if is french and he will attack the traders with french knights early, how do you defend that? you are screwd! no? i'm no expert still a noob
That’s why you have the stables to build sofa. Traders garrison into outposts and deal damage while sofa run them down. That’s also the reason for the wall.

Also i go 1 mine on the pit mine for increased gold then replace it with a house after. Idk if thats any better tho

Why wouldnt you mine from the gold at the same time? Instead of surrounding it by houses, shouldnt there be at least one mine next to it?

I like malian, enemies can't stop me when I have a big size of villagers gathering resources then spamming troops while my civ is lvl 2 haha
This is obsolete right? The Malians don't use stone to build a TC.

few games I played I struggled to get sheeps to sustain myself, what is another ok option for gettign food super early.
yup same here.. the cattle food is too slow imo
How about opening with 2nd scout? Malians train them faster only 17 secs i believe not bad
only 15 seconds, 90 food tho
They haven't fixed the deer bug where you cant right click on deer right underneath your tc that's under construction ... kinda annoying
