Had a 1.4 manual (gear sick is notchy but not bad). Drives like a tank, very well planted, feels like it would handle any road surface with no trouble & the steering is really light, great around town (good seat height/visibility). Spacious, practical, comfortable & cheap to run. Only issues we had were eletrics, multiple bulbs replaced (sometimes same bulb replaced repeatedly same day) & the electric boot lock stopped opening at which point we part ex'd the car.
Starter motor - they all do that sir! Nothing to worry about, my old Micra did it too, (K12 1.0L) never got worse, garage said it's very common, as you said 👍
In my experience the Nissan Note is a great little car. Only known issues I’ve come across is water ingress through the door seals. Keep a lookout for damp smell and condensation on the windows.
Just need a blue file with plastic sleeves to put all Note paperwork in James and get rid of all the cardboard envelopes from dealer. Any spare key?! Tyres cheap enough. Arguably best 13 year old car you'll ever see.
I think you'd do well to have 2 or 3 higher value cars mixed in on the lot. Peeps may come to view (kick tyres) a h/value motor and buy a cheaper car, or vice versa. Even customers with lower budgets will feel reassured about quality and price to see you sell higher end cars too.
Brilliant video as ever. The Note will sell easily with such a good history. Thanks for posting. Out of interest, what is the articulated vehicle parked in the back ground. VW LT of some form it would appear. More information please. :-)
Had a very similiar Note for past year, first car. It is amazing. 12 plate 1.4 petrol biggest difference is a touchscreen media thing. The space in these are incredible, im doing labour on the side and been carrying petrol lawnmower strimmer pressure washer shovels rakes leadblower hoses tool bags and still had the front passenger seat free. Coffee tables and side tables at once. All sorts. Its quite a boxy shape, with the backseats moving forward and down and the false floor removed you get tons of space.
Good service history (particularly oil changes) are essential for Nissans with the small petrol engines between 2003-2010 ish because if neglected, the timing chains like to stretch (no noises or rattles either) just a pesky EML light to show for it. Ask me how I know ☹️
They are very good indeed, only weakspot being timing chains if servicing not kept up, and typical nissan CVT auto transmission issues for automatic models
Whereabouts is the new unit then James? Assuming over near torrington. Just looks a bit out in the sticks 😉, which might not be a bad thing to be honest 🤣.
Only thing I'd say may be worth doing to save any possible future headaches is doing a fault code scan and checking for historic cam position sensor codes, otherwise you should be safe 👍
If you have ever lived/ driven in North Devon you would understand. They get filthy dirty , get scars from narrow roads and hard hedges, parking in small villages is ' fun' Only new cars are mobility stuff and farm equipment. 😲
I've been driving "old" (10+ yrs) cars all my life, all last at least 2 years with minimal faults and only once lost over £500 when the time came to sell. It's not all that bad, and a very cost effective way of getting around.....
ive noticed same on the micras, that full tank of fuel would have sold the car instantly a week ago lol, sure its a chain engine which is a selling piont also
Definitely the clutch in the Fiesta if it's only first gear? Or is it other gears as well? In theory, the higher the gear, the more it should slip (more resistance)

Good video, think you possibly need to do a bit more research on the cars you but on like the fiesta if you knew about the bumper and the clutch then maybe you wouldn't have bought it,I dunno but you say you would like 20 cars but if you had 20 cars that all needed paint or mechanics etc you'll be there forever, think may start lower and work your way up to 20 or buy better cars that dont need as much work, sorry if this sounds like having a go but I'm not I'm just seeing it from sitting here on the sofa etc but still enjoy all your videos👍

The Nissan Note o/s rear arch has been twanged - or the door. Either way they aren't flush with each other like the n/s. Just in case you missed. Nice turn up getting the FMDSH. Same happened to me, Synetic said no history but the glove compartment full of Ford stuff disagreed lol ;o)
You should keep your project cars - Sebring/2CV/Panda 4x4 ;) within viewing for your potential customers. Afterall James, you're not a Facebook marketplace seller, trying to flip old BMWs on 190k miles for £680 with no service history!
There's so many of those people near me it really winds me up, how about £595 for a 2001 Passat with 180k miles and no MOT and slipping clutch 🤦 Why do they waste their time 🤦
Amazing that a car of that age has always been serviced at a main dealer often stops after 3/4 years. Personally I can't see why the owner kept going to the main dealer and they certainly paid a lot for the priviledge even if the car got a wash! but bonus from your point of view.
My mother had a Peugeot 205 junior back in the day which she always had serviced at the dealer (until I got it when 10 years old). I kept telling her to take it elsewhere as dealers (at that time) all had YTS kids working on cars whereas she was paying top banana for labour. If they said it needed something doing, it was done but it's the only car I've ever known which supposedly needed new brake pipes EVERY MOT due to supposed corrosion! I never trusted them but she did. 🤷🏼♀️
