You are so great for sharing your story. Keep up the good work. You are helping a lot of people just by talking about it. With time, your heart and mind will heal. We all have things that we wish we didn't have to see and things that we regret. Just know that even though these things happened, you are a good person and that you deserve peace. Forgive yourself hon. Just do what you can to help others because that will ease your pain. Good job to the creators of this video.
This broke my heart. Just in this video alone...you can see the pain and heartbreak in Erik's eyes. I wish I could reach through my laptop and give him a BIG hug and let him know even complete strangers CARE. We OWE it to our veterans to help and provide the best care and treatment possible for P.T.S.D. as well as all of physical, emotional & mental damage and scars as a result of serving their/our country. The lack of appropriate treatment (or treatment in general) for our soldiers is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! I pray your brother soon receives the treatment needs and deserves as opposed to the "band-aid" treatment he is receiving. I pray his soul will be healed before it consumes his life.
Here is the problem dear young man. I tell you truth, in love. War is always a lie for profits and control! You haven't served your country, you were recruited, like all young men around the globe, through lies and propaganda, to kill brothers in a foreign land. What you need is God's forgiveness for listening to men who have no love for you, instead of listening to God, who died for you. Now, you suffer more because you con't to listen to men's advice and take men's drugs, which gives profits to the same kind of evil men who profit off wars. The "love of money is the root of all evil" is behind hurting you in the first place! Only God's All Powerful Holy Spirit living in you, where you are the temple for God's spirit on earth will cure you, because it is your soul that needs healing. Drugs don't heal or cure anything, they only mask and numb you and take away your manhood. God says, "I am the potter, you are the clay." You are like a masterpiece of pottery that the devil stole and smash on the ground, and now he tries to profit off your brokenness, but God paid with his own life, to get you back, so He can heal you. Truth: this earth is ruled by Satan. "the whole world lies in the power of evil." There are no races, all humans, no matter their sex, or color, are the family of man. They are all God's masterpieces. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.…"Ephesians 6:12 Precious young men like you are created in God's image, but get sucked in to do the devil's will everyday, unless they submit to God and are awakened to who they really are and why the devil hates them and wants them destroyed. "Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will." 2 Timothy 2:6 Earth is God's refinement center, like refining silver or gold. To get the pure element, you burn or wipe off the dross. Suffering. Here is where God test man and separates the sheep from the goats for the next world to come. Sheep will humble themselves to their Creator and be His soldiers, and live His way, follow His orders, goats will not. "The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light." Romans 13:12 It isn't about church, read the bible, talk to the author and ask for His Spirit to live in you and heal you.
