Ways to deal with mines in Battletech. 1. Jumpjets 2. Mine clearing munitions 3. Sensor equipment to detect them. 4. Sending something you don't care about ahead.
1:56:00 It's the moblins, which is just localized from Japanese katakana "moriburin" where "mori" means forest and "burin" is just the ending of goblin. My guess would be that the "boko" in bokoblin is based on some kind of Japanese onomatopoeia. And of course, Navi is named after GPS navigation systems for cars.
I know y'all like talking about the remake like Bluepoint just took a wet dump all over the Mona Lisa and tried to pass it off as an improvement, but one thing I do appreciate is the change they made to the Armor Spider. Instead of just gradually filling the room with flaming gas, it uses the windup/telegraph time to flood the tunnel with oil, and then sets that on fire which gradually spreads. So you can actually tell how far you have to run to be safe based on how far the oil spread. I'm also fond of their artpass on the outside of Stonefang, where they make the surrounding area look like a scene out of _Raiders of the Lost Ark_ with nearby excavations going on. But that's more of a personal preference.
1:01:45 I strongly disagree that it’s good for the outlier rules to be removed. I think making everything so systematic is what’s killing the soul of adventure games. It's removed creativity, exploration and uniqueness from them.
A potential good idea for a crystal lizard-like enemy is to have something similar to a regular human enemy, but dressed in more 'upper-class' clothing, adorned in jewel and whatnot. Whenever it sees you it does the usual thing and tries to run away, but it doesn't just disappear, it will stay in it's 'safe area'. A good example of how it works is an encounter in DS2 in the poison windmill, a guy drops down and starts shuffling away, passing one other enemy that would take your attention, and then goes to another side of a gate and drops it. You can still get to him provided you go the long way round, and you can fairly easily kill him before he closes the gate, all the actions in the process are just enough to bemuse and distract you for the sequence to play out, but it's not overtly dangerous. You can also play the idea's in slightly different ways, like the enemy running to hide behind a stronger enemy, having the enemy being actually devoured by another enemy that you need to defeat to get the items. Or you could use the mechanic to benefit you say, if you approach the enemy from a certain direction they attempt to flee by unlocking a door you didn't have a key for.
Random as hell but Shunsuke Kida (the guy who made this games ost) made the song "Mischievous Boy" in Jet Set Radio. Very impressive range from this relatively unknown composer.
man Franz has been saying his memory is not what it used to be for like 10 years. What experiments did he undergo in the process of becoming an Austrian Infiltrator? (yes I am digging that old joke back for old times sake lol)
5:18 I am in between you two, but much closer to Plague. Store bought bread, buttered on the outside so that it crisps up, store sliced cheese inside, then into the frying pan at low heat so that the cheese melts and the outside gets browned but not burnt. Typically I'll eat two sandwiches for a meal, so all in all 10 to 15 minutes. I do love grilled cheese with bacon and tomato, but that's way more work than I'm willing to do myself - it was a dining hall favorite of mine from college. Like Eli, if I'm going to spend the time to do real cooking them I'm going to make something other than grilled cheese.
Grilled cheese in the amount of time you could reasonably make Alfredo from scratch is insane Spy. But that specific grilled cheese sounds really good, time spent making it aside
I remember when Mound Makers in Dark Souls 3 used to either help the host or kill them to get their rewards. Did a 6 man fight against Dragonslayer Armor that way with host, 3 normal summons, and 2 mound makers. Then they made them regular ole invaders which was lame.
i agree Shadow of the Erdtree legacy dungeons were really uninspired. i usually enjoy the puzzle aspect of them but they were completely uninteresting. From seems to just lean heavily on boss fights and its not my thing
Helldivers 2 problems are manifold. They did market a haha funny party game, and everything about the game says haha funny party game, but for some reason some of the devs think it's a tactical shooter. Except with none of the tactical elements and horrible bugs and random one shot deaths. There are lot nerfs I disagree with. However, a lot of those nerfs are because of bugs. That is to say, instead of fixing bugs they kept nerfing the guns that benefited from bugs. Take the railgun, which would one shot bile titans due to a bug with playstation hosts. So they nerfed the railgun in every aspect. OH! By the way, the rail blows itself up if you mishandle it, because it's a haha funny party game.
Man, I wish it was easier for me to get my hands on this game because it’s very interesting. It’s a lot tighter and more cohesive in a lot of ways compared to even dark souls one. Granted it’s Janky as hell, but I sort of find the setting more interesting. I’m definitely not buying the remake after what I’ve heard about all the weird things they did to change the artistic vision.
I don't understand the critique of grunting or screeching bosses, other than it being mildly annoying. Audio is very important for knowing what a boss's next or current drawn-out attack is going to be, so you're not only seeing the attack but also hearing it before it lands. FromSoft don't always pull it off well but there's no denying it's important to remember.
plague as far as helldivers you are kinda right but the issue is a bit more complex it's a mix of what you said + dev incompetence + running on a unsupported game engine the game general is very buggy and crash's alot it's honestly a giant mess it feels like the game was fun on launch by accident and every patch since has made it feel worse
I have no interest in coop I like games offline single player only experiences, I like the souls games because they allow for you to use the tools at hand to accomplish the completion.
We now return to another episode of AGermanSpy saying random factoids and plague ignoring him
Would be a great Sherlock kind of show
Ways to deal with mines in Battletech.

2. Mine clearing munitions
3. Sensor equipment to detect them.
4. Sending something you don't care about ahead.
An hour and a half for grilled cheese? WTF are you doing German Spy, staring at the skillet?
It's an Austrian psyop to make people wanna put effort into their cuisine and subvert american culture
Re-exploring the darkest of Plagueholes with my two favorite men.

Hmmmmm, plagueholes

grilled cheese is the demon souls of necessity food
AGS: "No one remembers Final Fantasy 1."
Me: "I do. Multiple Marsh Cave and Ice Cave runs, Castle Ordeals - good times."
As a 32 year-old man I'm happy to finally get some recognition.

Always glad to see Plague and German Spy, its just a highlight.

Plague and Spy are making me think this relationship(series) is serious...
Whos up plagging up their gripes rn
Just in the fog wall, plagging it, and by "it", haha, well, let's just say, my gripes.
straight up germing my spy

Basically the Carps from Sekiro. They never disappear, they’re just fast and hard to catch.

oh boy another episode of I Also Totally Still Have Friends Who Play Video Games With Me Too, my favorite

Thanks for doing these, you guys! Been a joy so far!

I love dipping grilled cheese in tomato soup

My daily dose of Gripes.
And here i thought i was the ideal audience for these playthroughs: a 24 year old woman
Nah, the real audience is ageless eldritch tree demons.
I think focus audience is autistic artististic whiners.
Great stuff made me want a large mexican meal
Soul power
Plague and his succulent mexican dinners
Classic
Spy even with all those steps that should not have taken more than like 10 mins

I would say they did a pretty good job with the Shadow Keep. Perhaps my second favorite in the game behind the Capital.
I feel like 90% of messages are either lies, memes, or "beware of left"
God forbid we explore the "right" path foward first, thanks backseat messages for saving us the backtracking time
God the whiplash between grilled cheese is garbage and it took an hour and a half to make one. Never change
its a shame I'd love to see Plague's take on Star ocean 2 or even star ocean till the end of time, good game despite the ending.

me spending my time fighting the promised consort at RL1 makes most of their discussions about “modern fromsoft” very humorous.
If you dont have tomato soup to dip the grilled cheese in you failed
