We truly lost a gift with Ronnie's passing. I was lucky to meet and chat with him a couple of times after shows. Very kind, humble, and genuine person who really cared about his fans never forgot where he came from. He's sorely missed.
Ronnie was a force, his voice blew air molecules to pieces. He was one serious bad ass that you only heard good things about the man he was. Rest In Peace Ronnie. We Miss You
Ronnie James Dio was one of the strongest heavy metal voices ever. Especially since was an itsy, bitsy, popcorn fart of a feller, standing tall at only 5 foot 4. He was a major player in the soundtrack of my youth, when I was a teenager in the 80s.
I knew Donna would like dio I remember listening to dio back in my highschool days in the 1980s and it's good lulu is still working hard on her fair project missing her here but I know she is doing her best to have a awesome project to present. Much love Wintersun Alex ❄️❤️

The Last In Line live version from Dio is great! Also try Black Sabbath- Heaven And Hell live with Dio on vocals and Rainbow- Kill The King live with Dio on vocals. He's amazing no matter which band he was with, you just can't go wrong.
You just picked one of my very favourite songs and artists ever. Thus song has sooooo much meaning for me. Ronnie James Dio was fantastic. Fabulous singer and song writer. I knew you were gonna dig him Donna. Great reaction ladies. ❤❤👍👍🤘🤘
Lulu would have loved their hair. Other Ronny James Dio suggestions: Heaven and Hell or Children of the Sea with Black Sabbath, Stargazer with Rainbow, and Holy Diver, The Last in Line, and Don't Talk to Strangers as Dio.
Dio was the band that Ronnie James Dio formed in 1983 w/ Vinny Appice (drums), Jimmy Bain (bass) and Vivian Campbell (guitar)... and broke big w/ their debut album 'Holy Diver'... which is a heavy metal classic 🔥🔥This 1993 line-up of Dio was w/ Tracy G (guitar), Jeff Pilson (bass), Vinny Appice (drums) and Scott Warren (keyboards) Fun fact: Ronnie James Dio was the one who popularized the "devil horns" gesture "🤘" which he attributed to his superstitious, Catholic grandmother, who would flash the gesture to ward off the 'evil eye'... Ronnie began using it in concerts when he fronted Black Sabbath from 1980 to 1982... He had previously worked w/ Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore in the band Rainbow from 1975 to 1979... Ronnie felt that the band name Dio was appropriate because of name recognition - he had enough records w/ Rainbow and Black Sabbath, so metal fans knew who he was and his voice. Ronnie James Dio was a short guy w/ a powerful voice and a great stage presence... Ronnie James Dio (born Ronald James Padavona) began singing as a teen in the late 50's and established himself in the 60's by singing & recording R&B songs w/oufits like Ronnie Dio and The Prophets... He formed the band The Electric Elves in the late 60's, and they became the heavy rock band Elf by 1970 and even opened for Deep Purple on tour... It was guitarist Ritchie Blackmore who hired Elf to record the debut album "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" in 1975 after he had quit Deep Purple... but only Ronnie James Dio was retained for the band Rainbow in 1976 as they went on tour.
"Last in Line" or "Children of the Sea" are great ones. The album Rainbow On Stage was one of my favorites in the 70's. As with a lot of Ritchie Blackmores music, the songs are lengthy.

Hello Kathy, LuLu, Donna...my name is Brian from White Bear Lake, Minnesota...So i have a song video for you to watch from Iron Maiden and why haven't you done or reacted to Iron Maiden's song 'Hallowed Be Thy Name', and this video should have been your fitst introduction to the band, this video is epic. It is the Live 1982 version of 'Hallowed Be Thy Name', it is considered to be the best rock video ever made, and singer Bruce Dickinson sings his butt off in this video, you can really hear his operatic (opera like) voice come out in this song, with his long vabratos, and long notes, not to mention his vocal range. In my opinion this why i think every other rock singer secretly wishes that they could sing like Bruce could when he was in his prime. Pay attention to the long note in the beggining of the song, and the 2 long notes at end of song, they are 'EPIC'...The song is about a man who is ready to be sent to the gallows to be hanged and he is looking back on his life. Most of Iron Maiden's songs are about an important event that has happened in history. So watch this video for sure, it is amazing !!!...Must Watch. Thank You Ladies 🤘🤘 Video Link Below: ua-cam.com/video/7vP2hFFV57E/v-deo.html&feature=share

DIO (New York, NY) Line-Up (Live In London, Hammersmith Apollo 1993) Ronnie James Dio (R.I.P. 2010): Vocals Tracy G.: Guitars Jef Pilson: Bass, Backing Vocals Vinny Appice: Drums The concert was recorded at Hammersmith Apollo in London, England on December 12, 1993. It is a concert film by the then newly reformed Dio band on the last night of their European tour in support of the "Strange Highways" album. The film was released on CD, DVD and Blu-ray in 2014 by Eagle Rock Entertainment. In addition to tracks from the "Strange Highways" album, the concert featured other Dio classic songs and some from Ronnie's career with Black Sabbath and Rainbow. Dio was formed in 1982 by vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Dio left Black Sabbath with intentions to form a new band with fellow former Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice. The name Dio was chosen because it made sense from a commercial standpoint, as the name was already well known at that time. The Last In Line ny Dio is superb, but make sure you get the live version from 1984 at The Spectrum, it's THE best performance of this song. Thank you.

I caught RJD with Sabbath during the Black and Blue tour. Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult. "The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams, its Heaven and Hell."
how long was Dio in the music industry before his passing?.1957 as part of the Vegas Kings later changing to Ronnie and the ramblers, 1967, he formed the rock band Elf, 1975, Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore founded the band Rainbow and hired Dio to be the lead singer, 1979, Dio replaced Ozzy Osbourne as Black Sabbath's lead singer, 1982, he left to form the band Dio, 2006, he founded the band Heaven & Hell with ex-bandmate Tony Iommi. the great Ronnie James DIO R.I.P. one of the best hardrock metal singers ever the man had a brilliant voice a storyteller besides his own band DIO he was the singer of Rainbow Elf Heaven and Hell and Black Sabbath after Ozzy Osbourne
I got to meet Ronnie James Dio after the concert for the HOLY DIVER TOUR. The show was at the Bronco Bowl Arena in Dallas (sadly no longer there). My friend and I went out to where his bus was parked behind the building, and maybe 30 people with the same idea were waiting. A security guard came out and said the band has already left for the hotel, and several people left, but 12 people, my friend and I included, stayed there. A few minutes later, Vivian Campbell, the lead guitarist came walking out. He shook everyone's hand and went into the bus. A few minutes later, Ronnie James came walking out. He was so cool, signing autographs, posing for photos, asking if everyone had a good time? Just really nice! Some guy pulls out a joint and offers it to RJD, and RJD laughs and said it wouldn't be fair, because there wasn't enough to share with everyone there. Then... RJD tells his bodyguard to bring out the "party favor" and the bodyguard pulls out a really big, fat joint... fires 🔥 it up, puffs on it, then hands it to RJD, who puffs on it, then passes it around! I had quit smoking weed for about 3 weeks. When it gets passed to me, my friend says, "Too bad you quit, huh?" I looked at it, and told him that if I were gonna quit forever, I might as well go out in the BLAZE of glory, besides... it'll make for one helluva memory!!&! 😎🔥 I also saw RJD again at the same venue for the LAST IN LINE TOUR. And just like the last time, we waited in the same spot and met him again. No smoking this time, but I got an autographed tour jacket with the entire band's signatures which was a surprise! And as a BONUS... He remembered meeting me and my friend!!&! He smiled at us and said, "Back again?" "Yep, repeat offenders", I replied! He was so approachable and genuinely seemed to enjoy meeting his fans. May he rest in peace 🙏 ❤
He was pretty famous for remembering his fans even years later.. which by itself boggles my mind. He truly loved his fans and has my respect for that along with my respect for his music.
