    I just got this watch. How do you change the time or match analog to digital? It’s so different from my other watch and so far haven’t seen any vids that work. Please and thanks.

    Thanks for making this video, what about backlight and set time and date?!

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  Рік тому

      For backlight: hold the button on the top right.
      To set time and date: hold "adjust" and cycle through the options using "Mode". Once you're on the option you want to change (time/date) use the "light" and "start" buttons on the top right, and top left. When done, press "adjust" again.

    I got the grey one too. Wish the buckle was metal like the black one but super cool

      I didn't know the black one had a metal buckle, I wonder why, when the rest of the watch and strap is resin. Regardless, for a gym watch I'm cool with the plastic - keep things lightweight.

      Thank you very much! Since I'm just starting, I squatted a whopping 45lbs today (just the barbell).

    How do you like the gray colour?After you had the grey one did u feel like you wish you could gone for the black one instead?

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  Рік тому

      I like the grey but no, I actually wish I had went the other direction and went for a more fun/silly color like the clear instead. This has become a fun/summer/workout watch for me and I think that version does it well (as does this, equally). Grey vs black, I would definitely get the grey. Much more unique, and it's a subtle 'cool' grey that is quite understated.

    How does it looks after wearing it for one year?

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  Рік тому +1

      Good as new. G-Shocks are super durable and great at handling anything you throw at them.

    Tip, ease up on the cuts. It’s very jarring seeing the watch jump from position to position. The voice cuts also are very unnatural.
    Other than that, good video. My grey model is otw to me now.

    The CasiOaks are fascinating, the only thing holding me back is that they might look a bit too big on my 6.5 wrist. But I'll never know before I try, wouldn't I?
    And damn you for flashing that Kamasu. I've been holding the trigger on those awesome red dial ones thinking it might be better value getting some of the lesser priced Orient divers (like if that "logic" ever works in reality..), but the lusting on these red dial Kamasus is getting too overwhelming now..
    But I digress, looking forward to full review on that CasiOak.

    • @ChronometerCheck

      Good news! They actually have a couple of smaller CasiOAK models, technically for women, but honestly, who cares? I own one myself!

      Not to try to tempt your pockets, but one huge benefit the Kamasu has over the more affordable divers is the sapphire crystal. And it's not a huge jump in price over say the Mako/Ray. Regardless, you simply can't go wrong with any.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@ChronometerCheck Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've seen these smaller CasiOks, and a "ladies size" is quite fine on my tiny wrist lol. However, those models had some details that didn't fancy me (If the black one didn't feature rose gold indicies, but instead silver or similar I'd bought right away).
      I'm still wating for more models. And you're perfectly right about the Kamasu, sapphire crystal and slightly more than its siblings. it's about time pulling the trigger on that one.

    Nice watch, think I’m going to get one myself.
    What’s with the craze these days for having a classic SLR camera in the video shot of watch reviews? You’re about the fourth reviewer I’ve seen doing this. Is it supposed to give some gravitas to the review? This guy reviews the same watch and also has a camera in shot.
    ua-cam.com/video/HpaQQW_72ro/v-deo.html
    I’m just curious what the idea is behind it? 😀

    • @ChronometerCheck
      @ChronometerCheck  2 роки тому

      Haha, there are a couple of reasons, I think. It seems that many who enjoy photography also happen to enjoy watches, and vice versa. It also adds a bit of extra interest in the shot, I suppose. I know I personally, as a photography hobbyist, love seeing what gear other photographers use as a tool of their craft.
      Other than that... Purely for vain aesthetics!

    Thoughts on the new GShocks? It's one of the few digital watches I really enjoy. You can pick one up here: geni.us/G-ShockGA2110ET-8A
