Thank you for your kind words Roger. Maybe share the video link with a few like minded people because these firelighters work well. If someone you know has a few old candles..you're off and running!!
Ah the Ironmonger sketch i think was voted one of the funniest sketches of all time and rightly so. On to the Hulk, The patchy finish gives it a cammo-ish look and actually looks quite good and probably quite practical in the field, once you get a few coats of oil on it i think it will be fine.
Carry on the great work - The stock looks great, however, I personally, would apply another coat of stain to get a consistent colour coverage - but that's me. BTW the HW80 is probably the most robust break barrel ever made and will last a couple of lifetimes, giving brilliant 'bomb proof' performance.
Thank you Steve. The HW80 is quite the workhorse. I have two, and one is a Venom Lazaglide which is close to 40 years old now. But this one is a 25 cal with a TBT kit and a cut down spring and it's a cracking pest control gun.
I wouldnt do another coat on that stock, best of both worlds atm, you can see the grain nicely and its got that camo effect going on.. Only 6/10 on the biscuit front though..
I will aim for a higher status of custardy-cream in the future, I promise! And yes.. the foreend looks nice with the stripes. Maybe the cheek piece alone needs a tad more stain
thanks for the video the stock looks great👍
The stock is coming on, thank you. Hopefully you might benefit from making firelighters yourself too.
You can't not like this Matt - keep em coming
Thank you very much. That's a kind thing to say
Yet another brilliant video Matt!

Cant pick up 4 candles without pondering the genius of the Two Ronnies, can you? :)
