Thank you so much for these videos! I just bought one of these machines for my granddaughter and myself and these are so very helpful! Very much appreciated!
Oh my goodness...THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! I love my machine, but have only been sewing for a couple years, and mostly self taught. Sooo...now I have watched several videos and that whole flossing at step 4...made all the difference! AND I had no idea about using different threads. Generally, I am quilting, and just keep white for my bottom thread most of the time, but I was using a more decorative top thread and my needle kept coming unthreaded. Changed my bobbin thread and FIXED!
Wow, I have another model Singer and have had issues with the thread jumbling up. I thought it was the tension all along. I did not even consider it was the thread. I do have to admit I have used cheap thread with that machine. I will have to bring the machine out of retirement. Thank you for the videos, I have watched two videos and have learned so much about my Singer Quantum Stylist 9960.
Your videos are wonderful and so helpful! I haven't purchased this machine yet, but strongly considering it, and you are covering things that I couldn't find in the on-line manual. SO APPRECIATED, and making me even more thinking this is the machine I'm going to get!:-)
Thank you! I love my Singer 9960! I haven’t had any tension problems.
Thank you!!!! I’ve been doing this so wrong
Omg👍🏻🙏🏻 thank you so much. You really help me in my homework😀🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
hi. Thank you for this video. My beautiful machine is having an issue on the bottom thread, couple stiches and gets all tangled. Not sure what else to do. I m following all the steps for thread correctly, steps 1, 2, 3, 4 (can't see much inside this step), 5 & 6.
What do you consider good quality thread? What brand?
Thank you 😊
Thanks so much. I thought since I change the type of thread, Polyester to Cotton, that was shy my stitch was bad. In actuality it was my improper setup of my bobbin thread
I purchased this machine. I have a question about the machine tension for straight stitch.I have tried all the tension setting. I used both upper and lower thread the same. But a bit of lower thread shows on the upper side and bit of upper thread shows on the lower side. Is it supposed to be like this on this machine ? The stitches are even. For me the ideal tension would be the lower and upper thread will not show on both sides.
What is the best thread to use for this machine? I fine that some threads do not work well, breakage, tangling, threading issues.
Off the subject, where do I find VERIGATED thread like that one?Love your videos . Just got my new 9960
I am a new Singer owner,, I have changed my needle checked my bobbin and rethreaded my machine. My top thread keeps breaking on me and it feels as if my top thread is getting stuck in the #5 threading area....HELPPPPP
I am having severe tension problems the top path is perfect but underneath looks like bush. I am doing zig zag stitch with trying to sew two ends together on 1.25 elastic. I try what you show in the video but not solving problem, I switched to stretchy needle for this project but not working machine is threaded right, it almost sounds like my needle going to break. I have already broke 3 needles. Please tell me what am i doing wrong. I am new beginner at sewing on machine, i usually sew by hand stitch.
We i sew the thread keep cutting or de-threading the needle. i cant find where the problem is can anyone Help?
I have problems every now and again like a birds nest or my straight stitches aren't straight and I don't change fabrics very often (I use a lotta denim) I thought it was tension but that doesn't seem to be the problem. My machine is clean and oiled properly. I can have a mishap on something important, not make any changes, sew on scraps and it works perfectly fine. I don't understand
I have an issue, I'm trying to sew on satin ribbon an it's keeps getting wavy instead of staying flat. Any ideas?
I have this and my top thread keeps breaking ugh I’m cryjnf
I wonder if someone can help me as I can’t seem to find a solution with customer service. My machine will sew about 10 stitches and tells me to lift my foot off the pedal and than it shows the thread. I’ve rethreaded and the same thing keeps happening. This machine is only 2 months old. Help!!!
Omgggggg I'm having same issue with my old and new singer quantum style 9960. Let me know if you find any solution, as my machine also keep stopping every 3rd stitch with and without foot pedal.
You are pushing stitch width and one on the far right is stitch lenth, so how is this tension?
🙄
