- This is not an official video! I did it, with the permission of the staff, on the ship to help our people see how blackjack dealing is done for Carnival Corporation Global Casino Operations (GCO). The staff were demonstrating to a group of our Speedy Global candidates on a Princess Cruises Ship (most were ex-Star Cruises hence the reference). Also note the fantastic attitude of the Manager and Supervisor. This is the attitude/character you need to have if you want to work on an international cruise ship.

The dealers on my carnival cruise were very professional and not as dead eyed as the ones at winstar. Very personal. We had a full blown conversation while playing.
What are the requirements to become table game dealers in cruise?
Hes smooth for sure. Only complaints i have are his left hand just hangs in the air sometimes when not being used when i would prefer it be planted on the table. He also doesnt lift the cards very high so you get that sound of them rubbing across the table. He turned his back to first base once when using both hands in spot 5. However, his cheque cutting and the control of the splashes is unreal.
i was better back in my day because i strived for perfection however i stopped and got a real job

Doubling on a 12 against a dealer's 6? These are the kind of players I get at my table.

He had to check out first on his cards, very time he had a 10 he had to check for an ace with the set mirror

Some dealers when they check for a blackjack and say nobody home meaning the dealer doesn't have blackjack

Card placement sucks but chip cutting is smooth. He has the habit of clearing his hands way too much. But I do it at the bank all the time.
I agree he's not that good but the cutting cheque is pretty much perfect

I have worked for 23 years in casino. That dealer is very-bad...
He work wrong way, for example, he crosses his hands when paying.

I like blackjack myself, but have recently gotten trashed on the game and lost quickly. Feels really bad when the house just stomps you.

Chip cutting I’m jealous of. Everything else just looks like he’s doing it for the camera lol and his game security stinks
Some houses make you splash the chips to show that the stack is correct, but overall he seems new or only a couple of years experience. I fumble cards all the time and sometimes forget to pace my game correctly. Can partially blame being on bacc all the time, but I can always do better regardless.

That's a continuous shuffle machine, that gives the house a bigger edge, it's best to stay away from it
That's wrong if you're playing basic strategy. The only thing that shuffler does is prevent card counting.

@@Bladeofwar94 anytime the cards are being continually shuffled this gives the house a bigger advantage. The more small cards that are left the bigger the house advantage
@@garysharp8871 But then there are still as many big and neutral cards so the edge should be around 49.5% if you play basic strategy.

Superstition nonsense. It does nothing for someone playing basic and only hurts card counters.
@@Bladeofwar94 f that changes the pace of the game and makes it continue without a break, it removes the dealer's show.

@@melikzhu1982 they pretty much have to show hands after almost every action they make on the table. It's not that dealers do it constantly but it after some time it comes automatically and he doesn't even know every time he does it.
He is doing it to cover his ass. It is excessive, but fuck it the house knows he is dealing a clean game.
