      Easiest way is to just divide by 2 and then multiply by 3. If you don't want to multiply staight by 1.5.
      So basically split the bet and then give 3 of those splits. Easy to remember the 3 and 2 because of the blackjack pays 3 to 2 rule.

      @@captainawesome241 lol you said a lot it was kind of confusing. 3 to 2 = the bet plus half. Ex: 200 on BJ so 200+100 =300 payout. 6 to 5 = the bet plus double the the first two numbers if it's in the hundreds and the first 3 if it's in the thousands. For ex: $200 on BJ 200 + 40. (20.0 +20.0 =40), $240 payout. $1000 on BJ 1000 + 200. (100.0 +100.0 =200) $1200 payout. That's how I remember it easier.

      just break the bet down if it breaks evenly bump into it 3 times, or if it’s confusing like sometimes my brain can’t do half of 45 so i just do 40 and 5 separate and then pay out. math is extremely hard for me to do in my head so that’s my way of doing it lol

    Remember watching thise videos when I was becoming a dealer 4 years ago. Cab deal blackjack in day dream mode. Craps is a bitch though. Great job especially if you get in a casino where you don't share tips. Alot of the dealers where I deal make nearly 6 figures or more working a little over 30 hours a week 3 days off. Excellent job if you want something easy and alot of free time. Worming weekends and grave shift all the time suvks though.

    QUESTION: How does the dealer value his Ace? I read that the dealer’s first Ace is always valued as 11 unless it causes the dealer to bust, and every subsequent Ace is valued as 1. However, I’ve seen many videos on UA-cam where the dealer will count his first Ace as an 11 or 1 in the same manner as the player. Pls explain in the most easy and succinct way.

    • @maliant16
      @maliant16 3 роки тому +8

      Most casinos the dealer hits soft 17. So if you have an ace you would first offer insurance, then check for blackjack. If you don’t have it then everyone plays their hand and then you would flip up your bottom card. It’s obviously not a 10, Jack, Queen or King otherwise you would have had blackjack.
      If it’s a 7,8 or 9 then you wouldn’t deal yourself anymore cards because you would have 18, 19 or 20 respectively. If your bottom card is an ace, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 then you would have to deal yourself more cards. The easiest way to think of it then is thinking of the ace as a one. Say you have A4. That’s really just five. You draw a card and get a 10, now you have 15. You draw another card and get a 2, now you have 17 and would stop. But if draw the 2 first you only have seven so you need to hit again. If you draw another 7 then you are at 14. If you draw a 3 you are then at 17 and need to stop.

    Just wondering why you need to ask for permission to colour up or give change?
    Especially if it's small amounts? How do you get permission? Is there a floor manager always nearby? What if you don't get permission?

    • @TheToaster1155
      @TheToaster1155 3 роки тому +1

      Its mostly to stop dealers helping players and scams. They generally keep it on a computer system, a notepad or their memory. You get permission usually verbally or with a simple gesture, i.e. a nod. There is a floor supervisor at pretty much every table or at least nearby since they also perform other tasks, such as getting new decks for dealers. Even if the supervisor doesn't notice your call out, you still have to do it because the security footage will have it, meaning if something does go wrong, such as a player getting more chips then they were meant to, they can check the footage and see that the call was made and it wasn't intentional (although there would often still be consequences for the dealer.) You'll pretty much always get permission unless the supervisor is suspicious of either the dealer or the player, in which they'll usually take over, do checks or get security. They cant refuse just because they want to obviously, and its only in extreme situations, More often than not, the table is basically paused until the issue is resolved.

    • @desireeb33
      @desireeb33 2 роки тому +1

      The reason for this is because then the floor knows who has the big cheques or if paperwork needs to be filled out for a player.
      The approval is normally given verbally.
      Personally I’ve worked at my casino long enough where “changing 100” is monotonous and they know I’m sending out the correct amount (unless surveillance were to say otherwise)

    • @CEGDealerSchool
      @CEGDealerSchool  3 роки тому +1

      95% of the time, you must hold with the Left. However, some left handed dealers may be allowed to hold with their right, albeit this is very rare and completely up to the casino. We have only seen this in a few instances.

      the dealer must keep on picking up until they hit 17 or over.
      if the dealer has an 8 and another 8 totalling at 16, they must still pick up again even if its an obvious risk.
      if the dealer has an 8 and a 9, then they have 17, meaning they don't pick up anymore and the players have to beat the dealers 17 without busting over 21

    • @ON760
      @ON760 Рік тому +1

      “3 to 2” basically pays original bet plus half. If you have different colored chips on bet, separate them and calculate each color separately. Let’s say someone bets $35, with one green $25 and two red $10 chips. The red would pay $15, and the green pays $32.50 giving you a total amount of $52.50. You can also figure out the payout by units. Two units pays three, four units pays six, one unit pays one and a half, fifty units pays seventy five and so forth, hope this helps!
