I don't really care if game I want to play is sealed or not. I just open the seal when I want to play the game. I'm probably never going to resell my stuff anyway. 😅
What are you going to do with them? Eat them? Be Burried with them. Actually, if I tried to bury my collection with me, how much du you wanna bet that the AVGN's Grandson, Tries to start digging for my stuff!! I'd rather it go to Arino (CACHO) first!
Great video Pim, I can only imagine stumbling across the places where the sealed games come from, it would be like a mirage and you wouldn’t believe your eyes.
6:05 "Why are we exclusive to Twitch?" Dude, i was there that day watching your live stream on YT when the stream suddenly cut out after you filmed the retro console gun controller. Then I switched over to Twitch to continue watching. RIP YT live streaming.
always a fun watch! scored a bunch of NES/SNES stuff this month including a couple imported SFC games, the JP versions of mario all-stars and donkey kong country.
Here for the vibes and the sealed, pristine, un-germed and most perfect games ever (meaning I haven't checked this video yet because I'm watching the stream first) 👋
It depends. If it is a game I want to play, I will for sure buy a sealed copy and keep it that way as a collectible, then buy another one to play. If it is just a game I don't have, like a childhood memory (like me and my father played a lot), then I will open it because I think it is cool to be the one to open it after all this time.
Awesome video! Shame I missed that location in my recent travels, so many awesome games I could have added to the collection 😍 I admire your self-control Pim!
Yes , that's what I meant when I asked you about finding sealed retro games in one of your older videos! I enjoy to collect brandnew retro stuff when the price is right.
I remember this stream, was a great store :) Got it on my list for my next visit to Japan Despite being common, those NGCD games are a fair price with the obi :)
That store was well worth hitting up. That game That had the pocket watch was interesting. I For the price it was I would have grabbed because it is unique.
Even as a kid, never understood buying games sealed if you intend to play them straight away. Feels nice to open, but why keep it on display. idk not my thing i guess, but good for you :)
I always watch your videos, and I always look out for any 2ds or 3ds system. I wish I can explore all of those store myself to look for the Zelda hylian shiled new 2ds xl. Idk if it still exist out there fr 😂
I actually do play every game I own (for like 10 minutes to test it lol). You're right tho, they're fun to collect and keep sealed. I've since gotten some more and it's something I look out for now.
@ something about finding one of my favorite games sealed, hits all those spots of my nostalgic pleasure😂 also I’m curious, why does Japan always have such a wide selection of games? Did they over produce them? Is retro gaming not as big in Japan? I wouldn’t think that’s it… or is it because the average Japanese person don’t always have the extra money to blow on game? I’m genuinely curious and also jealous
@@SlimAdventures Many reasons really, 99% of Japanese people never cared for retro games or just sold them to stores to buy new ones and save space. It wasn't until recently that people figured out that they can be sold for a lot more overseas so local people started reselling online and driving the price up. There's also generally a lot more of it compared to what we got, most RPG's were extremely popular so they're not as rare as they printed a ton of them. They're also all in Japanese and nobody outside of Japan can read them so they're worth less money and were just easier to buy/trade here. Also a lot of these are more common than you'd think, the rare stuff was always super expensive, it's just more expensive now lol
Pim/4amLaundry you must buy that PC-FX Engine AJW Queen of Queens it’s a rare Joshi wrestling game and it’s a weird live action wrestling game with the real Joshi wrestlers of that time Toyota Manami the greatest women’s/Joshi wrestler from 1987-2017
Yeah man I really regret not picking it up but I had so much on me that day already. It's one I'm actively looking out for since I'm building a PC-FX collection now.
13:27 "You don't buy sealed games because you prefer to play them" -- are you implying that sealed games are for collector's that buy them and leave them sealed?
+1 for this comment Do you really not get the reason for sealed games? If say nintendo releases a game of 1000 units and they sell 990 of them and everyone opens them and plays the game there will only be 10 games unopened and uncontaminated with sticky fingers and smoke and germs etc really nasty things so the 10 sealed copies become very sought after not just because of what I mentioned but there is now only 10 of them worldwide sealed and unopened, so they are now an extremely rare commodity and everytime one gets bought and opened the remaining games get rarer and rarer, now years ago when everyone just played games there was not many collectors out there so they were cheap giveaways for gamers and shops but as time went on people realised these games were getting rarer and rarer to find not just complete and boxed but sealed too, you see unscruppulous dealers out there were resealing the games and fobbing the buyers off with brand new games or fake games and there was no refrence to how the games should look unopened and the inside of the games. So documentation is everything to stop scammers and flippers from selling dodgy games. 😊 Hence why I am documenting every wii & Wii U game sealed and open from around the world so people who collect in the future won't be put off collecting and playing games because they will have a refrence to how the games should look. And most people these days buy games to collect, grading is a whole different ball game because I don't see the difference between an unopened game and a game encased and reportedly saying it's better than sealed because it's sealed and encased haha 😊 so preservation and having an item no one else has touched inside is key and the older the game the harder to find them sealed and you will never know if it is a resealed item or not because the scammers are getting cleverer 😊 but the likes of Wii, ps2 and Xbox 360 should be ok as people are preserving them to stop it from happening on those platforms 😊 looks a great shop, I would have probably got loads of those wii u titles as the import duties are killing us all 😊
Hey dude! Does that store sell NTSC-U/C and PAL games and version of consoles? If not, is there a store in Japan that sells European or English games and consoles including accessories? Since you went to Japan that is why I am asking!

3:31 It’s from Gundam 0083 Stardust Memories. It basically makes the Gundam GPO-03 into a Mobile Armor.
I kind of wanna build one lol
Shows a PS2 game 'look at this 1980'. Are you sure about that?
I've heard that a lot of games, consoles, Come out early but that may be off.
The price was ¥1,980...

I'm pretty much doing the first one, keeping them as neat little collectibles then find their ¥550 yen opened counterparts later to play lol
My man Pim/4amLaundry finally has come to UA-cam you know the drill get those games and enjoy life
"where's this store?"
"Mind yo business"
Great video as always
This doesn’t look retail sealed. The wrapping doesn’t look like the “sealed” games in North America.
It has the "Playstation 2" band on the seal, we already confirmed it while live.
@@4amLaundry oh ok thanks 🙏

You asked what am I going to do with a sealed game… you’ve played every game you own? If so you might be the first person ever😂
I actually do play every game I own (for like 10 minutes to test it lol). You're right tho, they're fun to collect and keep sealed. I've since gotten some more and it's something I look out for now.

Or are they mostly filler titles besides the games you pull out?

They're resealed right?
See my community post there's closeups.
its just re-sealed ....
Nope, they all have the "Playstation 2" band on the seal, even the PS1 games had it.
We confirmed all of this live after visiting the store.
Do they have a website?

@@4amLaundryyou have to go back and get it seriously it’s worth $500-1,000 in NY USA
why did you blur all the store signage?
Yeah, that plus not putting the location in the description rubs me the wrong way (if it's intentional)
Mad he’s not giving you the spot location? Hahaha, find it yourself bozo
I'm guessing he doesn't want some reseller to empty out the entire store and make alot of money. Which is a good reason, imo.
Let's see if these sealed games awaken something in you haha

Hello, do you have a shop online? for retro gaming?
There's merch and box protectors on 4amLaundry.com but I only get games for my personal collection.
How are they setted with the photo/shoot ban that is everywhere in Japan? Did they give you permission to take them, of course?
There's no shoot ban and Hard Off allows photo/video in all of their stores by default.
@@4amLaundry Thank you. 10years ago I have been only in Akihabara Super potato and other similiar shop, and all were banning filmings an photos.
