Day 3 of our adventure is under way as we continue our long drive from Toronto to as far south as we can make it in two months. Best part? We're creating a convoy with our van life besties Christian and Aubry aka THE MINIMAL MILLENNIALS. So, our first stop is going to be Austin, Texas where our buddies are based.

While we love so many things about van life, it’s our mission here to be open and honest with you. The reality is that sometimes living in a van with your significant other can be hard… really, really hard! This is day 3 of a very long couple of driving days so moods are swinging and we are tired which, of course, leads to some bickering.
On the lighter side, we take a pit spot in Memphis and finally cross the border into TEXAS! We are so so close to reuniting with our best van life buddies Minimal Millennials… are you guys as excited as we are?!
PS -- to everyone who is concerned about us and our seatbelts... I can assure you that we BOTH always wear our seatbelts! They are just a little loose on us (probably should get them fixed).

Who are we?
We're Eamon and Bec, a Toronto-based couple who live full-time in our self converted Sprinter Van!! SUBSCRIBE for wanderlust travel, behind the scenes of what it's really like to live in a van, and videos all about the yummy vegan food we make + eat!

You guys Absolutely NEED to Both vlog your individual days, even if you're going to the same destination ppl wna see the different perspectives of the same day. Just let filming happen organically. It truly is one of MY favorite types of vlog style to watch esp during vlogmas when a "squad" film at events and get togethers or beauty bloggers go on Brand trips. Yes, Pls Keep Vlogging.

Eamon & Bec. Eamon, you asked for suggestions, maybe you can try kefir. I’m vegan myself and variate with Soymilk, coconutmilk, cashewmilk and sometimes I make almond milk myself.
For extra gains I add some soy or brown rice protein isolate 💪🏻

I've seen the experiment where a couple spends a few days talking about cat food but didn't have a cat or search for anything cat related and started getting cat food ads on Facebook. It's pretty crazy but I don't care if they hear me talk about anything hopefully they just give me more vegan ads haha

Texas is a primary seatbelt state. Meaning you can get stopped for the driver or any passengers not buckled up even if no other infraction is seen. So it would depend on the local laws.

For me with my ex. It never worked because in a fight I always feared to be left. Watching you guys, it's like you know you love each other and you just have bumps.

Also that literally happened to me and my husband the other day!! We were talking about moving into a new apartment in downtown Denver and when he opened his Facebook there were ads EVERYWHERE for downtown apartments! He had never typed in his phone apartments downtown. It’s almost scary how fast technology is taking over

I totally sympathize with your poo issue. I had three quarters of my stomach removed from cancer. I have about one minute wait time. I wonder if it would reduce your anxiety and stress by having a poop bucket lined with a plastic bag and some twist ties. Since you will be stopped anyway Bec could just wait outside. I think you can cut a pool noodle to fit around the lid then deposit the poo in the nearest trash can. That horrible feeling of “will I make it to a bathroom might be relieved”. It is just too stressful. When I have to be out where there is no bathroom I just use an anti-diarrhea tablet. Good luck. I feel for you!

The mukbang is pronounced like mook- bong. And it's when you buy or make a ton of food for like 5-10 people and try to eat It all or just eat pieces of everything.

Hubs and I have been married 36 yrs now and we have more fun than ever. We are gearing down to retire in the next few years and planning on continuing to minimize our stuff and sell the house to move into an RV. I can tell you COMMUNICATION is very key, and having fun in life. (we do not blame either) We laugh so much, often we say we would make a hilarious blog channel. In reality we are probably just hilarious to ourselves. LOL

Also thank you for being so real!! My husband and I have steps we go through too when we fight. We are believers so we work to keep God in mind but sometimes we are not mindful lol. What's the issues, talk about it/ get it out of your system, try your best to only say things that are going to move the argument in a positive direction(so don't be spiteful/rude), find the solution if possible, say your thank you's, apologizes, I love you's, and move forward
So with the Facebook thing, a guy at work was telling me about the listening thing, and I was like no way. Then the next day (or maybe even the same day, idk) another friend was telling me (in person) this new product I'd never seen/heard of, I opened Facebook and there was an ad right there for the exact thing. Super creepy! And
It's crazy isn't it... Facebook has done some spooky things like this to us too! The podcast by Reply All was an interesting listen about it. Thanks for tuning in for the daily vlogs ❤️

I know it may have felt unfair at the time but I'm glad you showed the fight scene. When there is fighting and disagreement my first thought is always that maybe this is the wrong partner for me and/or that I just cannot control my emotions and I'm a bad partner who shouldn't be with anyone. I have problems expressing anger healthily. I'm learning that being angry or annoyed is perfectly normal and that disagreements will happen in even the best relationships. But, it's all about how you respond to them and move past them that makes the relationship work. So for me it was really helpful to see that you guys sometimes fight and annoy each other but at the end of the day you love each other and you continue to choose each other and making the relationship work. So, thanks for that bit of realness and sharing that moment with us.

Hey! On the Facebook spygate- a few years ago I had a Silverado with onstar(microphone) and a iPhone 4 or something. My oldest son was asking about buccaneers clothing (local football team) and within seconds my feed is loaded with bucs clothing for women... I was super freaked out and sold the truck as well as deleted the app

I know this is 3 years later but your pooscapades as you call it sound like what i get, but i have inflammatory bowel disease( ulcerative colitis and am.a pescatarian) I hope you have shared with your doctor or gastroenterologist to be safe or maybe all is better, which i hope. When my grandkids were in the potty training stage, I went to Walgreens and bought a commode, took off the legs, lined the bucket with a trash bag and voila...potty in the van. Now that I’m van camping and ...ahem...subject to poopicide moments...it is great to have it right there. Now, I’m a bit older than you and my grands are a bit younger (5), but we love having the potty handy. You guys...think about it. Easy fix, doesn’t take up much room, so many options.

Heh, as web dev it's kinda funny to me people aren't realising that not using ublock origin or anything to block trackers is literally making yourself a product.
at least use firefox, it blocks trackers by default including all google analytics and facebook pixel services. it's code is open sourced.
tbh skipping the industrial food, the "organic" food doesn't taste anything like something grown yourself on natural composts... hope to see you guys growing something now that you have a place :)

For Poo, (traditional chinese medicine, or ayurveda, or tibetan medicine) herbs can help. you likely need some warming herbs to help, then your poop will be more regular and predictable probably less soft and urgent.
Wait till you hit your late 50’s....it’s like reverting to your 2’s. When a two year old is electrified, gotta go, then it’s like the switch was thrown, and they completely deflate and, ooops, it’s too late! Yeah, the horror is real!

Yeah, Pilot have showers. They are all along the highways.
The things I don't like about camping are sleeping on the ground and not having a bathroom especially in the middle of the night. I love having my Sprinter for those reasons. I still haven't used the toilet. I have another system. I do not want to deal with the black tank. IDK how you went so long without a toilet in your van.
