'Throw me out if I get obscene but that's the way that I've always been'..... What a lyric & tells us the undermining true talent of a gifted songwriter at his best. CR was my life in 1974-1978. So sad to see you leave us Mr. Nice. A true musical ICON. Condolences to Dorothy, Kerr & Greta. You're Dad was a genius......
My brother called me this morning and said simply, "Did you know? Stevie Nice passed yesterday." I hadn't heard, and it was the way to hear that news, a phone call from my brother. Steve was a one-off, and a genius. Singing and playing his music has given me immense joy over the years.
My favourite song of so, so many wonderful songs. Listening to Timeless Flight at this very moment. What a sad miss you'll be Steve lad, thanks for the great memories.
So sad we have lost another 70s icon like the others there music will always live on r.i.p Steve Harley thank you for putting a smile on everyone’s face
All young lads , loved the band Psychomodo and human menagerie were the first two albums I ever bought . The lineup changed for best years of our life , make me smile was great 1975 what a year
Oh so many memories come flooding back. I have been a fan since “the human menagerie “ and have seen them in all their incarnations as cockney rebel and Steve solo. A great song writer , a great band, and a great performer. The soundtrack to my youth . Check out Sebastian anyone who hasn’t heard it. A classic
@@50milliondownthedraintonym16 then we were at the same gig my friend. Grew up in Leamington spa so Coventry and Birmingham were the places to see bands. Lost track of how many greats I saw at the odeon in Birmingham and Coventry theatre and Locarno ballroom.
Steve Harley will always be utterly glorious, I miss him dreadfully ❤
The singles were one thing - and brilliant - but the album tracks were simply sublime. RIP Steve Harley. Sadly underrated, but an absolute legend.
I bought A Closer Look in 1979, best album ever!
Not underrated by me!
What a song, what a songwriter. RIP Steve.

He was one of my musical heroes. - STEVE HARLEY (1951-2024) - R.I.P
The most underrated Steve Harley and his magnificent band.
Had his song been written & performed by Bowie they'd have been as revered as anything on Ziggy. Totally underrated. Though fan if both.
Weren't the 70s just the best years for music? RIP Steve.😢

R.I.P. Mr Raffles. Mr Soft. Mr Harley.
