I am pretty confident you will not find another 12 year old on the planet that can do what she did there. The authentic soul she pours into this is just insane. And just look at how effortless she makes this look. I've seen it hundreds of times, and still it blows me away every time. Just as you said, each performance gets better and better. The amazing thing is... this is true no matter what order you listen to her stuff. With each new song you hear, she will show you new and different stuff that you hadn't heard in previous songs. So in any order, you get kind of a cumulative affect of what she is capable of, and it just keeps piling up, song after song. I may be a little bias, but I say this girl has no equal.
Twelve years old and already a music genius. Notice, for instance, how she uses what I would call transformative phonetics to give to the song its proper color. That was what I consider her second classic after I Put A Spell On You.
That's a great first comment - "No matter what artist she follows, she pays homage and then makes it her own." What's wonderful about the orchestra's amazement is that they've been thru rehearsals with her before - we don't know how many - but they HAD to be somewhat aware of her talent. Yet, at the climax, she staggers the conductor as he's rocked backward, then catches himself, looks at her smiling SO HAPPY and then catches himself. When you rewatch this portion, don't turn away - don't close your eyes. It's a most remarkable moment.

Thanks for another beautiful reaction, Cliff. It's impossible not to be fascinated by all her performance, from the beginning. This is probably one of the songs in which Angelina manages to make the most of her vocal skills, at just 12 years old and without fatigue, James Brown can be proud of this performance. She plays very well on the changes of tone, varying at will along the musical scale and exploiting the vocal power that she possesses, in a wonderful and continuous musical flow 😍 😁
40 powerful musicians and a small girl. She did an amazing job. They worked a long time together for this wonderful concert and released their album It's Magic a day before in 2018. You can find it often in the top 💯 on iTunes until today
The orchestra is the brass band of the norwegian military. Angie is from Norway and all her larger concerts were usually there, too. Now that she's living in California I think we'll see some tv appearences in the US in the near future. Yes I usually prefer her live performances, too.
Try one of her home covers with guitarist or even a karaoke track while she is sitting down, often reading lyrics. Astonishing how good she is. Try Lana del Rey cover Born to Die at ten. Ten. It will blow your mind.

Cliff, fabulous reaction! Thanks. Love your enthusiasm. Angelina was unbelievable and she really exhibits her versatility with this one. She's been officially singing since she was 7 and, of course, her voice keeps changing but she understands it and keeps adjusting and what comes out is so beautiful. She is an artist of the greatest order and keeps working very hard at her craft. When you combine her vocal abilities, so soulful and jazzy, with her persona we have someone who is so special she is literally off the charts. You mentioned you knew about the barefoot situation and it really hit home with you. One time when she was about 12 years old she was completing an interview which focused on the shoe story. Near the end the interviewer asked Angelina if she still thought about that little girl. (That incident was 6 years ago.) Angelina looked straight at the woman who was interviewing her and said, "I think of her every day." Angelina is all about love and she believes strongly that love is the most important characteristic in a person's life and that, with love in their heart, people can begin to love each other and feel the inspiration to effect change in the world to make it a better place to live for all people, particularly for those who have never experienced true happiness in their lives. Her voice is her instrument and with that she wants to spread her love to everyone who can listen to her sing. Cliff, she is in your heart right now and will never leave you. You've identified Her most unique talent. She can change the timber of her voice to pay homage to a musical genre, without mimicking the original artist. Songs become at once completely familiar, yet completely her own. For another good example of this, listen to Angelina's performance of Diamonds Are Forever (at an outdoor pavilion). It's Instantly recognizable as a period Bond theme, while not sounding like Shirley Bassey.
Check out Angelina singing the James Bond song "Diamonds Are Forever" which I believe is at this same concert (I may be wrong). Also "I'm Still Holding Out for You" and "I Will Survive" (a Gloria Gaynor cover), both sung when she was 10; then her cover of the Jackson Five's "I'll Be There" when she was 8 (she was sick with a cold during that one but still insisted on performing because it was a charity event for children and did it barefooted to keep her promise to the little orphan girl she'd met, and in my opinion, she slayed the song)!

Did you notice the conductor's reaction at about 4:50? Also, notice the two clarinet players after that first belt at the very beginning. They all rehearsed with her numerous times (some of those videos are up on UA-cam, too), and yet she astounded them with where she took this song. Cliff, fabulous reaction! Thanks. Love your enthusiasm. Angelina was unbelievable and she really exhibits her versatility with this one. She's been officially singing since she was 7 and, of course, her voice keeps changing but she understands it and keeps adjusting and what comes out is so beautiful. She is an artist of the greatest order and keeps working very hard at her craft. When you combine her vocal abilities, so soulful and jazzy, with her persona we have someone who is so special she is literally off the charts. You mentioned you knew about the barefoot situation and it really hit home with you. One time when she was about 12 years old she was completing an interview which focused on the shoe story. Near the end the interviewer asked Angelina if she still thought about that little girl. (That incident was 6 years ago.) Angelina looked straight at the woman who was interviewing her and said, "I think of her every day."
Angelina is all about love and she believes strongly that love is the most important characteristic in a person's life and that, with love in their heart, people can begin to love each other and feel the inspiration to effect change in the world to make it a better place to live for all people, particularly for those who have never experienced true happiness in their lives. Her voice is her instrument and with that she wants to spread her love to everyone who can listen to her sing. Cliff, she is in your heart right now and will never leave you. Your heart won't let that happen. When you watch someone who is listening to Angelina for the first time you can actually see the moment when her love reaches that person's heart. It is absolutely incredible. she is very, very special.

You've identified Her most unique talent. She can change the timber of her voice to pay homage to a musical genre, without mimicking the original artist. Songs become at once completely familiar, yet completely her own. For another good example of this, listen to
Angelina's performance of Diamonds Are Forever (at an outdoor pavilion). It's Instantly recognizable as a period Bond theme, while not sounding like Shirley Bassey.

Check out Angelina singing the James Bond song "Diamonds Are Forever" which I believe is at this same concert (I may be wrong). Also "I'm Still Holding Out for You" and "I Will Survive" (a Gloria Gaynor cover), both sung when she was 10; then her cover of the Jackson Five's "I'll Be There" when she was 8 (she was sick with a cold during that one but still insisted on performing because it was a charity event for children and did it barefooted to keep her promise to the little orphan girl she'd met, and in my opinion, she slayed the song)!

I will leave others to suggest what to cover next as I don't mind, I will enjoy it no matter what. the one thing I was surprised you didn't comment on though on this and probably because I think you looked away from the screen momentarily at the exact point is. At 4:45 in your video when Angelina hits the really hig long run, the conductor himself even has to turn towards her in amazement and looks surprised, even though they will have practiced this several times before AJ tends to put even more ooomph into her live performances and as you were mentioning the amazement of the band and their enjoyment this bit is also a favourite of mine.
