My grandmother used to empty the trash in the bathroom, and then fill the waste basket with soapy water yo wash the floor. She ended up with a clean trash can and a clean floor. I thought that was smart, and I do the same!
I clean my tall kitchen trash can (or plastic can liner/insert) when I'm in the shower sometimes. That way, the grossness of cleaning a trash can is instantly washed away. And it leaves it smelling nice too!
I clean my trash can as well even though I line it with plastic
I think you should just keep adding cats to the yard and wait to see how long it takes Andrew to notice 😂
Yes I feed lots of cats in my yard and front porch they are so sweet I also adopted 3 of them they are in my house love animals 😊❤
The gold box with the hand pin in it was a Tony Home Permanent box. The slots inside held dividers to keep the different sized rollers, papers, etc. in place. I have one that is the OG ivory color you see on the bottom of the box. It had a light antique brownish stain to highlight the design. My grandfather invented the Tony Home Perm when he worked for the company. It may have been a promotional box.
Wow! So interesting...thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the info about the box. I have one in green that belonged to my grandmother. She always used it as a jewelry box. Never knew it had another purpose. Now I can put a note with stating it's original use. Thanks again.
Wow! That’s so cool!
😂😂 you up crack me up with “Don’t come for me “
That was pretty funny! Jocelyn has an excellent sense of humor. I totally get her!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who pets the animal figurines. 😂
Just saying but I wash my trash cans pretty regularly.
Me too!
Me three! Also that trash can she was looking at is from Walmart.
If the couch is leather, you won’t stick to it, they stay pretty cool. I’ve had one for years and it’s super comfy year round (I live in NY). Now if it was vinyl, well then you could probably rip a layer of skin off sticking to it in the summer. 😂
😂😂
I'm sorry, but I have leather and you certainly do stick to it.
19:00
The beautiful hanpainted ceramic piece is an ashtray missing a lid. It's commonly made in Turkey and Tunisia, but I would say this particular piece is made in Tunisia most probably given the number 190 written in Arabic on the back!
Love all your content Jocelyn, pure gold ❤
Mexico too!
Yep it’s a Mediterranean ashtray- the centre bit is for stubbing out
So cool! I couldn't figure it out!! I think I learn almost as much from the comments as I do from the videos!
I love that you are a sucker for cat figures. I love the bird vase! That pin of the hand playing jacks is SO cool!!!
OMG! The hand playing jacks brooch is one of the coolest I've seen in awhile! I've been collecting brooches for about 2 years now and that is a beautiful and unique piece. L❤VE IT!🥰
I want to start collecting brooches...I have a couple of them
That brooch would be a great addition to a collection!! I LOVE it!!
I’m so happy to hear you’re not bitter about putting that $16,000 vase back. 😂
❤
Proves you should listen to your own instincts ❤
Like to see that vase.
Would you happen to know how long ago that was, or wich video? I don’t watch regularly…
I used to have the exact same (or very similar) red leather couch & loveseat set! I was a vintage Coca-Cola collector & had my entire kitchen & great room decorated like an old drugstore soda fountain/diner. The red leather fit right in! I actually just got rid of them 2 years ago. I enjoyed the consignment store. Thank you for sharing 😊
The bird creamer you put back probably had a chip on the spout as that's what the price tag was covering. They don't put them on an edge unless it's to hide something especially when there is a perfectly fine bottom to put it on.
That red leather sofa set was absolutely amazing! Stunning!
That pin was awesome, never saw anything like it. I loved playing Jax when I was little!
OMG! That playing jacks hand pin was SO amazing! ❤❤❤
Right? The $16,000 vase is going to be hard to live down Jocelyn. But I think we’ve all had things in life that we should’ve bought, or did buy, and it didn’t come out on our side. It’s part of life! We love that you continue the hunt CLL!! ~Cathy
19:00 is a Turkish ashtray but you know, it holds make up brushes too!
The round white thing with the florals at min. 19:15 was an ashtray. But it’s missing the top part. I have the same thing at home but in white with lemons on it and the top part is yellow
That big heavy pink & clear vase you picked up looks just like a few I brought back from Prague, Czechoslovakia in the 80's now worth a lot of money each. Good find if it's actual Bohemia Crystal from there. Either way it's pretty & beautiful when setting under soft spotlighting.
You should do an owl sale, it’d be a hoot heh heh
Love love love the yellow vase with the green deer in the middle!😍💛💚
19:09 Looks like it started life as an ashtray. Someone else beat me to it. I'm old; I've seen them before.
My daughter found a Tiffany & Co bracelet with a retail value of over 10k *after* I’d already looked through the same pile of “costume” jewelry 🤦♀️😂 I instantly recalled that vase video after we had it authenticated 😂
The goose is a "Nene" from Hawaii.
❤❤❤❤
Hello, the 'floral frog' looks like an old fashioned ash tray from Spain. The centre would be where they would put the cigarette out.
Oh my goodness! My friend Mandy and I played jax as often as we could! I'm getting a lil emotional! Thank you for the memories I really appreciate it.
OMG that little flower stand was fabulous!!!!
Yes, It would look great in her sunporch.
I love the red couches!! They are so cool!
I used to stop at that Goodwill when Idropped my kifs off at BWI. Good to know there is a consignment store close to it!
Been waiting all day for this video thank you for sharing
Me 2
I loved the mid century cattails!
Another awesome video.
What a neat shop. Loved the box as well as the Hand playing jax brooch. I looked it up It's from the 30s. So Awesome ❤
I too am drawn to bird themed home decorations and such! There are always birds in my curio cabinet and around my kitchen. Not to mention the various birds I feed year round in my backyard…
Wish I had those pink older glass pieces .. darn !!!
I LOVE the freedom store!!!!!!!!!!
I love when you go in them kind of stores where the dates give you the price I remember the other store that was a good one. I still remember the first time you went to that one and you got a whole lot of things and you said you better quit before you buy lol. That one was fun.
Great video. Loved the second place (like finders keepers) displays were laid out and arranged nicely not a bunch of stuff.
During COVID, people learned to party at home. At the antique store where I work, we sold every cordial and shot glass we had. People would invite 6 or 8 friends over, each bringing a bottle of something relatively expensive and that they wouldn't necessarily buy for themselves. A tasting party became the thing to do.
The pink vase looks like Czech glass from the 70s/80s. Old is a relative word. It's big and around the 100 to 150 range.
Beautiful items you have for sell! I like the way you have a variety! Cute glass animals and then some really funny ones! There’s a buyer for all things!
Oh, I am so glad you addressed the cattails…I saw them and questioned whether you would pick them up!! Too bad only one!
Great consignment shop. 😊
@crazylamplady every time I see the Empoli bottle on the top shelf behind you I’m reminded I have the stopper for it. I picked it up at a barn sale 2 years ago and haven’t found a bottle for it yet. 😂
I would not have been able to leave that gorgeous plant stand (?), it was where you found that big cat. It was so pretty! ✌🏼❤️
That painted hutch is wonderful.
I love that red chesterfield and loveseat. Different colour would be better, but I sure like the style.
When I saw the red couch it reminded me of the orange couch my Aunt had. It was very similar.
Thank you for sharing ♡
Wow the blue gold butterfly shell thing so sweet 😅
Your mom is going to love that pink vase
That round dish with the center piece you thought was a floral frog is part of a Spanish water Ashtray. It is missing a piece.
I Love the duck! Definitely looks like folk art! 😊✌
There was another green glow dish on the 2nd shelf where you got the one.
Great items for ebay!❤
I really enjoyed your video. Thank you. New subscriber🌷
Looks very nice there 😊
I love this shop
Great finds today
Great watching your videos!! Love seeing what you find!! Love you and your channel!! 😊😊💜💜🥰🥰💖💖💙💙💕💕❤️❤️
jocelyn, i've learned from your 16k vase....i have this embossed angels around this pottery vase I have displayed for years (w/a crack & chip aound the rim), it gives such history accents, I cannot seem to part with...tried real hard to find it's value, maybe not 16k,but it feel it to me
you can create a gasket using silicon so get what u like
The goose is folk art.
O jostling,I would have the frog jugs ,I have never come across them in the uk love them Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love the angle 😊
Thanks 😊
those bowls probably glow! I'm pretty sure.
Love the store. u went into lots of awesome stuff. I agree that the leather couch is very pretty, but on a hot day, u will definitely stick to the cushions 😅. Thank you for your time. Have a wonderful day 😊
I’ve had a leather couch for 15 years and you don’t stick to it when it’s hot. It actually stays pretty cool.
I really wish I had a red or orange leather sofa!! 😍! The set in a MCM STYLE would be even better! 😍😍❤
Great pickings today…
I saw a Facebook post this morning about McCarty pottery. I dint know if you were familiar with it. They can be worth good money. They have birds that look very primitive but are worth 200 to 400. Just a BOLO.
Fun trip...😊
You could call that place the "Shrewsbury chip shop"
An easy way to tell new jadite from old is with a blacklight. The newer stuff doesn't glow
I don't believe the original Fire King jadeite bowls from the 1940s glowed under uv light, either. Jeanette and McKee jadeite glowed because they were made with uranium before WW2. Anchor Hocking Fire King jadeite, was made in the 1940s after the start of WW2 without uranium as it was needed for the war effort.
The playing Jack's broach ❤❤❤❤❤❤
So sad I missed you! I was there just one day too late!
6:36 the table&chair would be used to sit and talk on the phone❤
cool yellow cat
My grandmother has a mid-century modern hutch and china cabinet for sale just outside of Pittsburgh. I have photos if you want to look!
"Instant Souvenier Shot Glass Collection" I laughed so hard. You should get it and sell it with that title in that box. 😂😂😂
The Macrame Wall hanging was Gorg
The ones around me are small too
I collect china or porcelain angels and don't seem to pickup angels at all. I love porcelain birds as well. I have a collection of them as well thanks to my ex-mother-in-law. Any type of figurines are great.
That round dish is an ashtray missing the top part!
You do need that cat😻
Don’t think the glass fish’s fin is broken. I have one with the same flat fin. It’s smooth, not jagged. It looks like part of the design, as strange as that might sound.
From what I understand, the Jadeite Fire King modern products don’t glow.
The original ones didn't, either. I just learned that this week. Only Jeanette and McKee contained uranium and glowed under black light. Isn't that crazy? The original Fire King jadeite never glowed. 🤯🤷♀️
The real question is who puts a trash can in the dishwasher? I mean, I put my kitchen one on the back porch and hose it down every now and then, but nobody had to tell me to hand wash it. 🤷♀
Some pink glass glows, just not green
Maybe a fountain?
Do you ever buy silver plate? I notice you went right past that beautiful silver warming casserole dish thing.
Can you please let me know how much the deer vase went for…I have one just like it…Thanks
I wash all my trash cans.
Even the big ones outside 😊
I always hand wash my trash can.
This looks like Goodwills in my part of the country
Great Content!!! Keep it up, Amazing.
Just to let you know. I've subscribed three times this week. Not sure if it's my phone or UA-cam
I appreciate your determination! Thank-you! I’m not sure what’s going on. UA-cam can be temperamental.
Oh I want that brooch, I wonder if she is selling it there or online
I think she plans to keep it. It was just show and tell.
It's a rosey posey
No crack pots!?!?😂
😅Wish you'd shop more.
